HT5622 Can I delete an app I no longer want

Since the recent iPad upgrade I have lost audio with Skype, can anyone help
I though that if I could delete Skype from my account completely then repurchase it it wold then work properly

You can't delete any items from your purchase history, but you can try deleting the app from your iPad and then redownload it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app. To delete an app, press and hold any of the apps on your iPad's homescreen and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'

How can I delete an app I don't want on my I pad.I thought it was free but this is only a 2 week trial Basic mistake but I don't want the app to continue. Can anyone advise please.

Hold down on the icon until it wiggles on the screen and then tap the X on the icon to delete it. Tap the home button when you are done.
If the app is an auto renewing subscription app, you will have to cancel the subscription as well. Deleting the app will not prevent you from being charged. Lokk here for help.

  • HT4623 How can I delete the apps I no longer want to use? I tried to hold down on the app but no x would appear for me to delete them. Please help, thanks!

I can not figure out how to delete old apps and games I no longer use. I have tried everything. I tried holding down on the apps and no x would appear for me to delete the apps. Could someone please help? I even tried deleting them under the usage/storage area and still no luck.

When you're tapping and holding on the apps are they jiggling? If you are seeign jiggling then restrctions may be on. If that's the case follow these steps.
Check that you haven't enabled Restrictions, you can turn toggle the ability to delete apps through there.
    Goto:
    Settings
    General
    Restrictions
    Enter your Restrictions Passcode
Scroll down and check to see if Deleting Apps has been enabled (On - so can delete) or disabled (Off - so CAN'T delete).

    Hi CommodoreTX,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Take a look at the article linked below, it will walk you through hiding some of your previous iTunes Store purchases.

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I delete the apps I don't want to update, from the App Store Notification list?

The number of apps, waiting to be updated is growing, and growing!  I want that number to go away.  I am not going to update the ones I don't want.
How can I clear the list, so I only see the number of ones I have not looked at - the new notifications?

You can't clear the notifications unless you udate the apps. There is nothing that you can do about it - unless you delete every trace of those apps everywhere - in iTunes, your iPad, all iDevices .... and I still don't think that totally eliminates the updates. If you download an App and it is tied to your ID, the notifications will appear somewhere - maybe not on the iPad - but in iTunes at least.

  • Once a song is downloaded onto my ipod (4th gen.) how can I delete it when I no longer want it?

Once a song has been downloaded onto my ipod nano 4th generation, is there anyway to remove it, deleting it from my ipod?

    Yes.
How you delete content from your iPod depends on how it is set up to receive content from your iTunes library whether that be via automatic syncing or manual management.
For automatic syncing, you must reconfigure your settings so that the album/tracks/content you wish to remove is no longer configured to sync to your iPod.  For example, if the Sync only checked songs and videos option is enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab, make sure all the tracks for this album do NOT have a tick mark next to them in your iPod.  Then resync your iPod with iTunes.
If that isn't the case, you'll want to look at the iPod's Music configuration tab.  You can access this tab by selecting your iPod under Devices. This should bring you to the Summary tab over to the right.  Look for the Music tab along the top and select it.  Here you can configure how and what music syncs to your device.  If you make any changes to this tab, be sure to hit the Apply button in the lower right hand corner to sync the updated changes to your device.
Otherwise, if you manually manage your iPod's contents, you must manually remove content from it.  You can do this by plugging your iPod in and clicking the small black triangle next to your iPod from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes.  This will open up a submenu of content that is indented underneath the name of your device, so go ahead and click on Music (or whatever content you are wanting to remove).  Locate the track or tracks/content you wish to delete. Highlight them and hit the Delete key or choose Edit -> Delete.

  • How can I delete an app that doesn't show as installed but is?

I can not delete an app that is on my iphone 5.  Unfortunely I do not remember the name of it!  It shows up as a moveable round botton within a square on all opened screens. When tapped it opens up four options: Favorites, Siri, Device and Home.  It was a cool time saver with the iOS5, but with the addition of comand center in iOS7 It is rather in the way.  Does anyone know the name of this app and or how to uninstall it??  Thanks for any help

That did it, it's gone!  I don't understand, is it uninstalled?
    THANK YOU so much

I tried to use the attached command through TERMINAL :
    sqlite3 ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db "DELETE from apps WHERE title='Help';" && killall Dock
sqlite3: Error: too many options: "DELETE from apps WHERE title='Help';"
Use -help for a list of options.
But i didn't work as I got the above error message.

I'm in the same boat as you -- except that I manage both a school lab (volunteer job) and macs in the enterprise (pay job).  What I think we need is the Education Volume Purchasing Program
    http://www.apple.com/education/volume-purchase-program/faq.html
Unfortunately this all seems a little rough around the edges -- for example, I have found updates for AppStore apps on the support.apple.com updates download site, but then when I install them via ARD they don't actually update the software.  (The AppStore icons still show as needing the updates, and the version info reports the old version.)  The documentation is also vague about which AppleID to use in which circumstance.  I think they just haven't finished thinking through the implications of the various procedures and policies upon the various kinds of customers.  When we deployed Mountain Lion on the school lab, we made an install usb and went around and installed it on each computer -- and it appears that you are on the honor system as far as paying for all of the licenses that you install.  We did!  But they appear to have no way to enforce it.
So far, I have only deployed 9 Lion macs in my day job, and our "solution" to the AppStore showing updates problem has been to drag the AppStore icon off of the users' docks so they don't see them!

  • How can I delete an app from the cloud??

how can I delete an app from the cloud, so nobody can download it again to my phone?? please I tried from the computer but it just hide the app from purchased, and still appears in the app store with the cloud on it

At the present time, you can't hide or delete an app from your purchased list on your phone.  Prior to iOS 6 you could hide it; there has never been an option to delete it.

  • How can I delete an app from my account definetly?

How can I delete an app from my account, not just from the iPad,  i want to delete some from "purchased apps", hopee you can help me

Rudegar is correct - you cannot remove the app permanently from your account. There has been much discussion about this on the ASC site and many users have concerns for many different reasons. As suggested send feedback to Apple.
But remember this - your account is a part of Apple's official and legal sales records. In the real world - you just cannot delete a record of sale - for accounting reasons and for legal reasons.
