HT5622 Can my contacts be retrieved via Apple ID

Would it be possible for me to retrieve contacts stored on my iPhone that was synchronised via a laptop. Phone and laptop were stolen during a burglary and I have no other way of retrieving my contacts. Was registered with an Apple ID and used iTunes/store. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your loss! If you were signed in to iCloud on the device with your contacts, and had contacts switched on, then you could always try going to www.icloud.com on any computer, logging in with your appleID and seeing if they're there.

I went into the store in the Grosvenor shopping centre in Chester today to discuss upgrading my phone, I used greeted by a friendly assistant ( I'm sorry but I didn't catch her name) who then passed me over to Mike. His customer service was exceptional, friendly and helpful he transferred all of the information over from my current phone to my new one and it could not have gone smoother. graphics adapter intel gma 945 up to 128 mb.
Recently I updated bios from 1.20 to 1.30 and after restart I lost 64 megabytes from "graphics card capabilities".
So after updating bios my computer is much weaker. why? how can i get back 128 mb memory on my intel gma 945 ??
by the way. It's possible to manually edit any file and configure gma 945 capabilities up to 256 mb? I have a lot of ram and I could use it for games, now i can only use 8-64mb.

You should do something with this.

We are all just fellow users here and can do nothing about this issue. You are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums.
But I don't see that Apple is doing anything wrong. Many companies use distributed server networks such as Akamia to handle extreme loads. So it would seem to me that your SMTP callback system needs to be modified to accomodate such uses, since they're more and more likely as use of such relay networks by large companies expands.
In any case, you can submit your comments to Apple here:

though any such comments would probably get more attention if submitted by your network engineers.

I can't login to iCloud via Apple TV.

Anybody having issues signing on to iCloud via their Apple TV?   My Apple TV is synced to my Apple ID, however, I can't sign on to iCloud. This prevents me from viewing my pictures from my photo stream. After trying to sign on, I constantly get the message of not being able to connect to the apple server. This seems odd since, I'm connected with wifi to everything else. Any thoughts?

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
    1.    Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    2.    Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    3.    Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    4.    Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
    5.    Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

However you can only sync all media from one iTunes library/computer. However, one can sync music and videos with different computers/libraries if you have iTunes setup to manually sync. See that method included here:

Can't connect to server via apple+k

If i try and connect to another machine via GO>CONNECT TO SERVER I get the beachball of death which spins forever until I force quit finder.
I have created a new user account and if i try the same it works perfectly, which suggests to me a file/preference has corrupted.
Does anybody have an idea what files may be corrupt and need deleting?

Managed to sort it myself.
Moved the Library folder from 'Username'>Library onto my desktop and logged out of the dodgy account.
Logged in again and a new Library folder was created. Apple+k then worked.
I then copied the old files into the new folder in batches of 20, logged out then in again and kept trying Apple+k.
I put all the files back,logging out then in every time, ensuring the file I was copying overwrote the new file.
After I had copied all the files I rebooted and upon restart Apple+k worked.
I have no idea what the actual corrupt file was, but at least other people with the same problem now have a method of getting back to normal.

You can't change your background to a file on the internet, only a local file (what would happen, for example, if you weren't connected to the internet?)
The simple soluton is to download the image to your system (which you can do any number of ways via AppleScript) and then use your existing AppleScript to set the desktop to the newly-downloaded file.
