Do you know that there is an iPad user guide located in the bookmarks of the Safari Browser? It might come in handy for you.
    And here is another one.

And you can also download the free iPad user guide book in the free iBooks app on the iPad!

  • How can I make my ipad work again please help

Hi I bought my iPad last year and it's been working fine. Today I was just going through the settings and it said there was a software update for IOS7 so I agreed to have it done, but I had no idea it was going to take so long (would be nice if they gave a heads up). I had to use my ipad for timely purposes so after a couple of minutes and what looked like only 2% complete, I tried to stop it and the only way was to turn off the device (no option to pause or stop!).
Now when I turned it back on it says I have to sync it to iTunes and won't go to any other screen. I synced it to iTunes (first time since I purchased it and my Cloud's memory has been full for months so I have no backup whatsoever of anything on my ipad - pictures, email etc. When I sync it up to iTunes it says that it detects a systems update in progress and I cannot continue until it is completed, would i like to continue. I thought I guess that's my only option so I said ok, but unlike when I did it wirelessly unsynced to iTunes earlier, now it is giving a warning that it will return my iPad to factory settings and erase anything I have on it when it completes installing the software!! No thank you!!!! Wish I had that warning the first time around, I have a year's worth of information stored on there that I do not want deleted.
Somebody please help, how can I get my iPad back to how it was before and stop this update nonsense ASAP??? What a way to ruin my Sunday Please help anybody who can.... Thank you. (and I don't see an option to back it up it just goes to the page to update the device in order to do anything else). Surely there must be a way!! Anybody??

From your description it seems that you have to upgrade to iOS 7 now.
No one can say what state your iPad is in since you interrupted a very critical process!
It is perfectly normal that your iPad's contents are erased during the upgrade process.
All your data will be restored afterwards, if, and only if you have a recent backup of your iPad!
To restore your backup from iCloud follow these instructions:

  • I have a e printer and thee printer is on the same wifi net work as the iPad, when I select print from the iPad the response is no printers. I can successfully email from my iPad to the printer. How can I make my iPad recognize the printer?

I have an e printer and the printer is on the same network as the iPad. When I attempt to print from the iPad I get a message no printers available. How can I get my iPad to recognize the e printer?

This printer has worked for me with out fail at my house.  I am traveling in an RV and am at the mercy of the RV Wifi.  I do not have access to the router.  The printer has been recycled a number of times as well as the Ipad.  The printer is set up and has access to the wifi.  It seems to me that the Ipad and Iphone are not recognizing the connection with the e printer.  I was hoping there was some adjustment that could be made to the Ipad and Iphone.  I can email to the printer from both gadgets.  I will try to recycle the devices again.

How can I make my ipadresume connecting my facetime calls?

You may not be able to. There seems to have been an issue with facetime over the weekend, and going by the number of people having issues It's likely that it's something Apple needs to fix.

If this is a passcode issue:
If You Are Locked Out, Have Forgotten Your Passcode, or Just Need to Restore Your Device

    4. What to Do If You've Forgotten Your iPhone's Passcode
    5. How to Recover Forgotten iPhone Restrictions Passcode | The iPhone and iPad
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the
Back Up option. If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary
              to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore or have forgotten your restrictions passcode, then restore as New.
If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code or as a New device, then skip Step 9 and restore as New.

  • How can I make an iPad slideshow for a friend, without having an iPad?

I'm on a MacBook Pro, 10.5.8 old school stuff these days, I'm sure. The point is, I don't have any fancy new apps or an iPad.
A friend has an iPad 2, I think (the newest kind) and I wanted to make them a slideshow (or a couple). What would be the easiest way of doing this—using Keynote, or just stuffing the pictures into a folder in numerical order and zipping it?
Also, I want to resize all the images so they appear full screen right off the bat. The info I found on Apple's website is:
    1024 x 768
    132 pixels/inch
Does this sound about right? Thanks so much!

If you MacBook Pro came with Lion preinstalled then you will not have a copy of iDVD.  That's because iDVD and iWeb have been discontinued by Apple and is not longer being included in iLife.
You can purchase a copy from Amazon.com: iLive 11.
If you do have Lion this post will self destruct in 10, 9, 8... seconds and you can follow Terence's directionsl
    As for iDVD the following is a recommended workflow to follow;
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the  File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option.  This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • How can i make my ipad apps work again?

i have this iPad2 wifi+3g  for like five months now but iv never tried sync it on my laptop. Just yesterday i decided to try sync but im frightened when a pop up window appears said that syncing will erase all the data i had on my iPad including my favorite movies and apps. It's been two days now that i've been tinkering my iPad apps.My 1st problem now is i lost all my movies that my friend installed on my iPad and i dont know how to retrieve it. 2) i foldered my apps and sync it and also  update it to iOs5   but after the update and syncing my apps doesnt work now like my bookworm  and few other games doesn't work but it's still there on my folder.
Can someone help me please...  a detailed instruction is immensely appreciated .

If the movies that your friend installed on your iPad were not bought with your Apple ID or are not in your iTunes library - they are gone - unless he reinstalls them or you sync again with iTunes (if they are in your library).
If you bought the movies with your ID and you live in the U.S., you can download many movies again for free using the purchased tab in iTunes.
If your third party apps no longer work, try downloading another app on your iPad - any free app is fine. That will reset your iTunes authorization and should reset the other apps.

  • How can I make my ipad recognize the change of Apple id?

icloud does not recognize my new Apple id.
    ipad 3

    Hello Ibeno,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning iCloud:
    iCloud: Account troubleshooting
I receive a “failed user name or password” alert when attempting to sign in at iCloud.com, in iCloud preferences (Mac), or in the iCloud Control Panel (PC).
Make sure that you're entering your entire Apple ID when you sign in (for example, if your Apple ID is [email protected], make sure that you aren't trying to sign in with just “username”).
Verify that the Caps Lock key is not enabled. All passwords are case sensitive.
Make sure that you're using the correct iCloud-associated Apple ID and not a different Apple ID used for other services. For more information about having more than one Apple ID, refer to Using your Apple ID for Apple services.
If needed, reset your Apple ID password at iforgot.apple.com.
If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud as you do for other Apple Services, (for example, Apple Online Store, iTunes Store, or Mac App Store), changing your iCloud account password also changes your password for the other Apple services. Make sure that you sign in to those services using your new password. Also, be sure to update your Apple ID password on all of your devices and computers that may use your Apple ID (such as any email applications that you use to receive iCloud email).
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    BobbyD
