I changed ISP and as a result lost access to the email address I used as my Apple ID I went to the Apple ID page and changed my id to my new email address for my personal iPad. But when I use my other iPad, I am asked to login using my old email address and password. When I try to reset my id for the 2nd iPad, using the Apple ID page, it shows my new email. How do I import the hanged Apple ID to my 2nd iPad?

Sign out and sign in with new Apple ID
Settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID

Are you talking about your passcode? If you need to remove it, you'll have to back up your iPad and restore it in iTunes on the last computer it was synced with, as explained under "If you have previously synced your device with iTunes" in the artilce you were viewing (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2446). If you can't do this, you'll have to follow one of the other solutions listed at the bottom of this article.

You don't access the iTunes store to see your music (or anything else)..
You launch iTunes and your music is there, stored on yoru computer.
You access the iTunes store to purchase items, which are then downloaded to your computer.

I have iphone4s with the operating system of 8.1. I changed my email address which was used to register my iphone due to hijacking. I am able to read all my emails using the new address. However, I can not download apps as it keep asking me to provide the password for the original registered email address. I do not have the access to the email address, so I can not retreive the password. Note - if your older apps needs an update it will use your old apple id and password, as Apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it.
You can't merge apple id.

Have deleted and re-established account a few times now but still the same.
I have actually given up and added gmail account which is working fine.
Sends and receives no problem.

We are not remote at all. Sitting in the fantastic Pavilion Hotel in Phnom Penh. Another couple here having trouble but not bigpond. Hotel staff have tried to help but to no avail.
Giving up and stick with gmail until we get home then start trying to get resolution.
Problem actually existed on a personal wi fi network in Melbourne before we left so I should have tried to resolve it then.

My old emails address which I have used as my apple id for 10 years is being made redundant. I have changed the email address to a new gmail one and this is my new apple id. But my iMac has not recognised this. It keeps saying it wants the password for my old email address. I have seen some advice on these forums which suggest signing out of iCloud and then back in again. But when I start doing this it asks me if i want all the photos deleted that have not been downloaded onto the mac.
I have had an iCloud account for quite sometime and I'm afraid of losing everything in my cloud if i sign out and sign in with a new id.
Is this fear realistic?
I know I can change back to my old email, sign out and then sign in wight he new one...

This did not work for me. My old email account for iCloud still pops up on my screen every time I open my macbook. I've deleted it, reset it, every thing I can think of and it still shows up. I think six months of this is more than enough time to wait.

Have you recharge the battery for at least 2 hours, or just leave it connected for 4 hours?
(When you replaced the Hardisk, you should also replace the battery.)
Some other iPod SSD sites, says that you may have to format the CF in FAT32, as Mac dont read NTFS drive so if Windows is the 1st PC that your CF is connected, it may be formatted to NTFS.
You can try erasing the CF using Disk Utilty, so that Mac can recognise it. (but not Windows)

All my primary information is in the gmail apple id account and i just want to merge the two together. I've tried changing the apple id on the main account to the icloud email, but it says it already exists. How can I merge these two accounts without deleting one or the other?

You can't merge iCloud accounts.
You could move all your calendars contacts etc over from the account you don't want to the one you do, it's not simple but about all I can suggest.

Why is 50GB of music gone? All music should exist on the computer. Only a fool would rely on a single device which could easily be lost or stolen to store their content on.
