I have a connection error when I try to sign on to icloud, what is wrong? My phone is stolen and I'm trying to track it. Icloud was working fine earlier today. Help anybody please!

Sometimes - and I stress sometimes - this can help. Sign out, restart your iPad and sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap your ID and sign out. Restart.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and sign into your account. Then try to update your apps. -

If you've already reset the password and changed your payment information, then the next best thing to do is call Apple directly and ask for iTunes Billing Support. Your account is likely disabled on their computers as part of their fraud prevention protocol. You may have to verify yourself as the account holder to get the account enabled again.

Why do I get unknown error when I try to add to my iCloud storage
Why do I get unknown error when I try and add storage to iCloud account ? I have funds in account but I do not have a credit card # on file.
This didn't solve it for me. Card details already there, and iTunes purchases working fine.
But just to be sure I' have re-entered and resaved my card info and checked, re-entered and re-checked my appleID info.
Still not working.
Anyone got any other suggestions? -

If you didn't create an iCloud account on an iOS device or Mac, you don't have one. You can't create an account on a PC. If you were charged for an iCloud storage upgrade without having an account, contact the Apple online store at the bottom of this page for a refund.

To repeat my question, Apple offered to install iCloud, and I allowed it. Yet when I try to sign in to iCloud using my Apple ID email and pswrd--an ID that I've been using for YEARS--I'm given the message, "This Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account." What is going on?
Everywhere I search on Apple's Support site says to sign in to iCloud using your "Apple ID," which I did. I've had my iTunes account for years (even migrated from the old AOL account system). It's the standard email+password that everyone is supposed to use.
My main question is how can I have a valid Apple ID and not an iCloud account--if the two are supposed to be linked?

tljI've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. Welcome to the Apple Community.
Go to the 'Go' menu in the Finder and hold down the option key to reveal the Library. Then navigate to library > preferences > system configuration and drag the 'Networkinterfaces.plist' file to the trash and restart for mac. Now try again. -
When I try to sign in the iCloud it says " the maximum number of free accounts has been used" or something to that affect. Any suggestions ?

Solved!! It turned out the problem was being caused by my firewall program little snitch. I had to go into the preferences and turn the network filter off and vola it solved it.

on my ipod touch i have wi fi connection but when i try to activate imessages and try and enter my Apple ID, it comes up with error saying could not sign in, check your network connections and try again!!!
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings then restart your iPod.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. -

On my HTC Android phone, if I get that sort of problem, I simply delete all of the "remembered" BT Wifi profiles, and that fixes the problem.
The Android devices seem to get confused when there are multiple entries, with the same SSID, even though the BSSID (MAC address) is different.
Other device may also have this problem.
