If you use Mail.app, hover your cursor over any of the links in the emails you're receiving to see if they lead directly to an Apple-owned subdomain, like so...
If the links in the email(s) you received are exactly like this, then it's possible there's an issue with your account that you should probably follow up on. If they don't look like exactly like this, then these are phishes, and you can post screenshots of those links here so that someone from Apple can follow up on them. (Best not to click on these!)

I keep get emails sent to me saying that I am requesting to change my password when I haven't they been sending it to me for 3 days now and been getting a few a day about it.
Doesn't strike me as a "high traffic" issue, if you pause the download can you open the /Applications/ folder on your Mac and see if the installer already present? If you can stop the download and delete the installer (because it is not finished), the try again?
If you've already done the above have you tried using Disk Utility First Aid from your Recovery HD?
Try to verify/repair the disk and see if that takes care of it. (Of course make sure you have a good, recent backup before trying this.)
If you're still having issues: re-install OS X from the Recovery HD, install all available software updates, try again. -
The last 3 or 4 times I have tried to access my account, it has told me it has been deactivated and I have to reset each time, or give credit card info again. Why is this happening and how do I stop it?

There's your problem. Simply, as you are discovering, iPhoto cannot have the Library on a network and the Library must be on a drive formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
So, on your local HD or on an external HD attached directly to your Mac by USB, Firewrire, Thunderbolt, and
formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). -
When I try to complete a registration form to join a website/ open an account using wifi on my ipad 4 I enter the details using Autofill.
Hence my email address is entered automatically and is 100% correct.
However I keep getting the same error message: your email address is incorrect.
My account is with BTYahoo and I am able to send and receive emails without any problems.
I' ve recently visited an Apple store and discussed this problem with a genius but they said they haven't encountered this problem before so we deleted my old account and added a new one with the same information but today I tried to join another website and again the email address isn't accepted.
Any help gratefully received.Thanks for that suggestion!!
So far it's worked but can't understand why Autofill adds the exact same details but the website fails to accept the email address.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":

I bought a used iMac recently, and sometimes the app store asks for the user password of the previous owner (and displays former owner's ID). It won't allow me to change ID to mine, even though I am signed into store with my own account (and this is shown in dropdown menu). How can I make the store recognize my ID for downloads?
It is showing updates because your machine is tied to the original purchase and will remain so until you wipe the drive.
As you purchased it used and the seller obviously did not do what he was supposed to do and that is erase the hard drive and reinstall the original system, you will run in to far more difficult problems when you need to reinstall for whatever reason. The new licensing requirements are that any mac is sold with the original OS - any OS or app obtained at the app store is NOT transferable and the buyer needs to purchase their own license. That means you will not be able to reinstall the OS.
At some point, you will need to try to get either the original install disks (from the seller or Apple) and wipe your drive and reinstall. Then you can download your own licensed copy of Mavericks and any apps you want. -
When I got my upgrade I got a iPhone 4 and the man at the att store helped me set up my phone and when he done my iCloud account he put my email ID. wrong because he spelled my last name wrong I did not notice this until I got home I went back to the att store and they tried to fix it but couldn't 1 they even cleared everything off my phone and set hpnthe apple account with the correct one but it wouldnt fix my icloud either please help I don't know what to do.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account") -
I keep getting error 5002 when trying to access my account
Whenever I try and login to Itunes and view my account I get 5002 error. I also at present (02/06/11 @ 19:26) can't download any apps or updates.
Can anyone advise what is going wrong?

PeteThanks - From the discussions here people in Germany, France and the US are having the same problem!!! Would be nice if Apple had told us it was down for maintenance or whatever. Rather than a crappy 5002 unknown error message.
I write software for a living and I would be shot if I displayed that kind of message to users...
