HT5622 what about those of us who choose not to use credit cards?

I want to download a couple of free apps on my employer-supplied phone and don' t use credit cards but Apple ID insists on a credit card number. Suggestions?

add the card then you can chose the none option and it will remove the card, and use gift cards if you ever want to make a purchase

Now that Apple is selling iphone unlocked, what about those ho bought locked ?
Can i unlocked my iphone now ?

AT&T have not announced any change to their no-unlocking policy. Only AT&T could authorize the phone to be unlocked.
The fact that Apple now sells (independently of AT&T) unlocked GSM iPhones does not change this.

  • HT6147 Why haven't they done a patch for those of us who have not updated and prefer to use iOS 6?

Why haven't they done a patch for those of us who have not updated and prefer to use iOS 6?

Totally agree with Andy. Apple needs to support its users whether or not they decide to update to iOS 7.
The reviews from i Pad 3 owners (like me) is that when they've updated to iOS 7 they've experienced latency and sluggishness. Why would I ruin a perfectly good iPad by updating to iOS 7?
Please let me know where I can find a patch for iOS 6.
    Thanks!

  • I have tried to cancel my credit card info and there is no option on my payment screen just the choice of choosing 1 of 3 credit cards. What do I do next?

I have tried to cancel credit card info but there is no option in my payment screen. There is only the option to choose 1 of 3 credit cards. What do I do next? Any and all help with be greatly appreciated!

I don't think that the "none" option is available in every country. Where are you located?
If you can't remove the credit card by any other means, you might want to contact iTunes support. You can choose your country in the bottom right corner.

Can i use debit card as a payment method on app store..if not, what else?? in case i don''t have credit card...please help

I don't think that debit cards are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined. You could try contacting iTunes support but I don't think that you will be able to use it : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If you don't have a credit card then are iTunes gift cards available in your country ? They are not available in all countries and they are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue), so you won't be able to use those from another country.

I am setting up a new iTunes account and do not have a credit card.  When I am setting the new account up it does NOT give me an option of "none" in lieu of an actual credit card. What do I do?

How did you create it ? There are instructions on this page for creating a new account (the instructions won't work with existing existing account) without giving credt card details : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
e.g. if currently logged into an account then log of it, then find a free app in the store, click on its free 'price', and you should then be able to create a new account during the 'buying' process and get 'none' as an option on the payments screen

    Hi Toastcafe,
If you are having issues setting up an iTunes Store account without a credit card so you can redeem your gift card, you may find the following article helpful:

This same thing happend to me,  you have to make a new account and you have to chose your birthday as if your under 18 or 16,  because if you dont own a credit card,  you shouldnt be over this age,  so basictly just make a new email and appleID and when you chose your birthday,  do it under 16 years of age (or your REAL birthday) and you should have an option of clicking "none" for credit card options,  but if you want to buy something,  you will have to do the credit card stuff,  or you can just buy an apple gift card at basictly any store,  So this is how i fixed my problum,  i hope it works for you,  write back your responce of how it worked out please!

Did you follow the instructions on that page exactly ? The instructions work for me e.g. selecting a free app in the App Store app and tapping on 'free', then 'install app' and 'create new apple id' - filling in my details then gave a 'none' option on the payment details :

  • HT3406 What can I do if I do not have the sim card an I am trying to use my old iPhone 3gs as an iPod?

I have an iPhone 3GS and want to use it as an iPod it worked fine until I did an update, now it will not register. What do I do if I do not have the sim card?

Get a sim card. Borrow one from a friend. Ask the wireless
carrier the iPhone is locked to for a sim - it does not have
    to be an active sim.

  • TS1702 What was the purchase I made that showed on my credit card?

What was the purchase I made that showed on my credit card?

We are fellow users, we won't know. You can check the purchase history on your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, though I'm not sure if that shows auto-renewing subscriptions. If you can't find the charge or don't recognise it, and you haven't added or changed your credit card details (when you do then a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the details are correct and valid, which should disappear within a few days) then you can contact iTunes Support via this page and see if they can help : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    Hello pen pang,
if your Photoshop is a part of Creative Cloud you can use "Manage your membership and payments|Creative Cloud" at
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/membership-subscription-troubleshooting- creative-cloud.html >>>
Payment & credit card >>> Help changing the credit card on your account >>> from there see what hints are listed.
On the other hand I'm sure that you can use the recommended procedure with a "normal" PS too.
If necessary and for further questions click through http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html and if "open" please use the chat, I had the best experiences. I quote from Adobe's employee Preran: The chat button is activated as soon as there is an agent available to help.
If you need these explanations in another language, please use "Change" at the end/bottom of the website from above
