We are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know why - if you give some info as to what happens when you try to sign in (e.g. do you get any error messages ?) and where you are trying to sign in (on a computer's iTunes, an iPhone ...) then somebody on here might be able to try and help.

    We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple, we won't know why.
    Have you tried getting it enabled ? If not then you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on any iOS devices that you have by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it.
    If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
    You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Also try restarting the router.
    If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
    If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
    If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

    Why won't Apple Mobile Device Support install with itunes setup?? I keep trying to reinstall, and installs everything but Apple Mobile Device Support. How come. will someone please help me??     The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if a component such as Apple Mobile Device Support won't install normally.

    I had the same problem, and sorted it by going to safari prefrences and selecting accept cookies from third parties, why this should be causing a problem in itunes i have no idea but it works

    Are you able to sign into the iTunes Store and purchase items with that ID? If so I've no idea why you should get this message. However, though I'm not familiar with iTunes Connect, I'm not sure it's got anything to do with posting podcasts. To submit a podcast you go to

    I had this same issue and what worked for me was power cycling my wireless network and the Apple TV.  However, if the issue persists, here are a couple articles that will walk you through troubleshooting this issue.

  • Why can't Apple TV stream movies like the iTunes store can?

    I'm in the UK with an Apple TV 2nd Gen. 9Mb/s broadband speed checked and have conclusively failed to rent one single movie since I bought this a year ago. Every time I log in, select the film, purchase it, hit play and all I get is "connection error please try later" Playing movie trailers and everything else is fine. Surely the point of renting a movie online is so you can watch it straight away. Lovefilm works just fine via my PS3.
    The other day I tried again on Apple TV with the same error so figured I'd try and rent the movie direct from iTunes Store on my laptop, hey presto, 2 mins later I'm watching my film via my Macbook Pro hooked up to my TV.
    So the big question is: Why can not Apple TV stream a movie like the iTunes Store can? Of course I appreciate that a certain amount of buffering has to happen but that is never evident on Apple TV.

    Intermittent problems
    Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
    You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
    Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
    There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.
    Consistent Problems
    A frequent cause of consistent failure to enable AirPlay or HomeSharing at all, is the service being blocked on the network. Make sure your network isn't hidden, has a unique name, that MAC address authentication is disabled, security is set to use WPA 2 Personal and that there is only one router/device acting as a DHCP server and providing NAT services.

    I did notice that you said everything you have obtained you've legally bought.  Because if there was anything in there that you didn't buy with your AppleID but WAS purchased with another AppleID this will happen.
    If this is not the case their is a possible issue with your account.  Only reason I say this is because it's happening on both of your computers.  So both of them have the exact same library?  Do you have another computer you can sign into the itunes store that has none of your content on it and if so does it continue to happen?
    Have you tried un-installing and re-installing itunes?  Are you up-to-date on both versions of iTunes?
    If there is an issue with your AppleID you might need to contact Apple and get an RTA sent to SSE(Site Support Engineering) to troubleshoot your account.

    I have to constantly sign in to iTunes almost everytime I restart the app. As if I want to access the store. This has been going on now since Snow Leopard, now running Mountain Lion. Oh, still using iTunes 10.7. I refuse to update to 11.

    It requires a sign-in when it does a check for downloads from the store, and this happens when you open iTunes.  Try turning off the options for "check for available downloads" in your store settings.
