It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

Try going into your account details on iTunes, change your info there, then sync your devices.

All apps are tied to the apple ID used to buy/download them.
If you don't want to be asked for his ID-delete all the apps and download them under your account.

FOr some reason I am in the US App Store, how do I change back to the Australian App Store on my iPad as I can't make purchases? It keeps telling me my account is not with the US store and to change to the Australian store.

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPad, and sign into your account again.

Upgraded new iPad to iOS 5 after successfully using the machine for two weeks. The apps I downloaded are still here, checked for updates, all okay. However, when I try to use iBooks app or even USA Today, icon shakes, settles down then nothing. Help.

Problem solved. Saw the solution in a more recent post. Downloaded a free app, then all my other apps started to work again.

Welcome to the Apple community.
If your daughters Apple ID is displayed when trying to update apps, that would indicate that the app was originally purchased from her account, in which case you cannot update somebody else's app.

I have not pinpointed the exact dates but I know I changed my Apple ID and downloaded the apps around the same time a few months ago.
My old ID is being used by a family member. I entered the password for that ID and the updates worked.
Next I will have to see what happens when I try to update the apps, she has some of the same, on her iPhone.

Delete the stolen apps and buy them.

If you can't find it on any of your home screens or via the spotlight search screen then check to see if it's hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > Safari being set 'off'

Why is my old apple id being used when I try to update on app store?

My original apple id was an old email account which I didn't often use and because of my lack of usage the email address expired without me knowing, so I changed my apple id and password etc in "manage my account" and when purchasing new app's all is fine, I'm able to purchase and log in using my new email addy, however when I'm prompted I have updates waiting and I press update, my old apple id (email addy) is brought up which I can no longer access as the email verification is going to the old email addy which no longer exsists!
My Iphone and Ipad all show apple id as new email etc the problem only arises when I try updating.
Please help this is driving me insane and my updates are stuck!

When you say you "changed my apple id", does that mean you renamed it to your new email address?
See "How to change the name you use for your Apple ID"
That is what you want to do so you still only have one Apple ID and it now has the new name and email.
It sounds like you may have created a new Apple ID instead and started purchasing stuff with that. Just because an old email address expires, doesn't mean the Apple ID it is based on goes away. Apple IDs can't be deleted. The only way for them to change is to rename them to a new "ID" (name/email).
It is best to stay with only one Apple ID for purchases. As you are seeing, Apps need to be updated with the ID they were purchased with. If you don't have many purchases with your new Apple ID, you might want to rename it to something else so you can rename your old ID to this new name (email). Then stick with your old, but renamed ID.
You don't remember the password for your old Apple ID? Can you access your old Apple ID using the security questions instead of the email verification?

Why is it when I try to re download apps that were previously deleted from my iCloud, the download looks like it is going to start then it stops almost instantly?

OK, so this problem has been going on for quite a few months, and has persisted through several iOS updates:
I deleted both Facebook messenger and Instagram from my iPhone 5s. they have been stored to my iCloud. Now, when I try to re-download just those 2 apps (doesn't happen with any others I have noticed yet), it looks like the download is going to start, but almost immediately switches back to the download from cloud button. I have signed out and back in to my iCloud account and my apple account and neither have worked. A hard reset did not work either. Repeatedly tapping (hey I was frustrated!) did not work either. updating my iOS did not work. It only happens to these 2 seemingly popular, well developed apps. Can anyone provide me a solution? Thanks!

I Also want to try to avoid doing a full reset if possible. Or whatever the process is called that erases all your photos and messages and apps, Etc.
