I am trying to change my apple pass word? I know my Password but when I am trying to change it, it asks for me to answer 2 questions and I have no idea what I put as the answer? there is a button for sending out an Email to help but the Email listed is an old work account and is no longer in use. Can some one help me either change the password or change the old Email address to one that is use?

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first. -
i Got a new phone and and it says I have to answer a security question I forgot my security question answers so I clicked the button where I can reset my security questions and send it to my email but it never sent it to my email what should I do because now as many times as I click the button is still won't send and I'm not able to buy anything off of iTunes or the App Store please help ASAPl

e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'

I had a iPhone 3G and I change it in to a iPhone 4G 32GB! I have 3 apple ID account. The one I used is <edited by host> and I know my password but it ask me for my security question and I forgot it! It send a veify email the answer the an email to <edited by host> and the email <edited by host> that is my other apple ID and the password work on apple but my yahoo account I forgot my password and security question and it won't verify to my email on to my apple email. so it send the answer to <edited by host> and I can't get it! So Can u do something? Both account r also on my iCloud. I can open both apple account but it won't let me buy nothing on my <edited by host> ! On my <edited by host> that one dose let my buy thing but I had lot of thing I bought on <edited by host> I bought lots of movies music and app. I spend lot of money on this account.
It's a really bad idea to post your email addresess - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove them.
This is a user-to-user forum and no-one on here can take any direct action. If your Yahoo address is not working that's something you would need to take up with Yahoo - have you checked it by sending yourself an email to it?

Want to change me password for my Apple ID on I cloud. I am doing this on my Mac but going into I cloud on Safari. No one here can help you, nor can/will Apple. If you don't know the Apple ID/Password that was originally used to activate this phone, you won't be able to re-activate it. And, if the previous owner tells you that he/she doesn't know it, you're out of luck. You simply won't be able to use the phone for anything other than a paperweight.

If you do not remember your old id's password, go to iforgot.apple.com and see if you can remember or reinstate it. Without it you cannot reactivate your iPhone.

So I have about 1000 songs that I can no longer access because they are linked to my old account. I cannot access that account, because the email I used for it was my old work e-mail. I got laid off in 2009, so I have no way to access that e-mail. Is there a way I can unlock these songs, or are they lost? They are still on my iTunes, and everytime I go to play them, it says I need to authorize them to play on this computer. What can I do? Thanks for any help!!!
You can update an older Apple ID that is no longer a working email address by using a new email address. Just make sure that it is not an email address that you are using in your second Apple ID.
Once you have rehabilitated the old Apple ID, authorize the Mac to use content from both Apple IDs.

I got my iphone & ipad many years ago. My ipad was stolen and I had to set up a new user ID for some reason. But all my old purchases are on my old ID. When I try to do the reset password it gives option for security question or email. Security question is my DOB which I obviously know but it tells me it is wrong. When it emails me, it doesn't show up in my inbox (maybe it was my old work address when I originally set it up). How can I get in so I can access to all the stuff I bought before my ipad was stolen? Can I merge the two apple IDs? Help!
If you have a rescue email address on your account then have you checked the inbox and spam folder on that email account as well ? If you haven't (the reset email would go to your primary email address if you don't) or its not there, and you've tried requesting the reset email again, then try contacting Support in your country, after confirming your id and that it's your account they should be able to reset the email for you.

If they are no longer in your camera roll, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account (open your my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, the tap Save to Camera Roll).

I think you're slightly misunderstanding something, so maybe I'll try to chime in, even though everyone has said it in various ways.
Before OSX 10.7 (aka Lion) came out, the upgrades to OSX belonged to the Mac and not the user. Probably there was a technical legality in the user agreement that you couldn't do that, but everyone did. I could sell a Mac with Snow Leopard (or anything before that) by just erasing the hard drive, and reinstalling OSX. Then ship it to the buyer. Now, I was pretty honest as a seller, and including not only the original installation discs but also any upgrade. I would only sell a Mac if I was replacing it, so I always was getting the brand new version.
With OSX 10.7, upgrading was done online, with no disks. So the upgrades were tied to an Apple ID rather than the machine. Recently, I sold a MacBook Pro (to upgrade to a 27" iMac), which came with Lion. I had promised the buyer that it would come with Mountain Lion, but I didn't know that the upgrade was tied to my Apple ID. I made good with the buyer by sending along a $20 Apple App Store card so that she could upgrade to Lion.
So what everyone is saying here is that you need the original Installation discs or Snow Leopard disk to reinstall and wipe out the Mountain Lion that is on your Mac. It doesn't belong to you, it belongs to the seller, and without his Apple ID and password, you cannot use it. Once you do a reinstall of Snow Leopard, then you can upgrade to Lion and then to Mountain Lion. I do not believe you can upgrade directly to Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard, but I'm not sure.
If the seller claimed that you were getting Mountain Lion, then he was lying to you (or being more civil, maybe he just didn't know like I did). If you bought the used machine from Amazon Sellers or from eBay, then you have recourse through the feedback system or through PayPal. If you bought it any other way, you're on your own.
