I gave an ipot touch to my daughter and she wants to reset it because you can not delete the games my grandchildren put on it. Could you mention the names of apps?
It should/can be deleted except the pre-installed system apps!

I have gone through the router reset for home network, Router reset at work. Restarted my personal hotspot on my iPhone that is running the same IOS.
I have performed the Network settings reset on the iPad.
I have performed a hard reboot on the iPad, (Home button and power button until logo appears)
Also I had to update the Apple driver on my laptop for iTunes to see my iPad after I had updated iTunes, I'm not sure if I lost wifi after I updated the iPad IOS or updating iTunes. -

I have a 4th gen. Itouch wiht IOS4 and i want to update it, but when i click the update button in ITunes it says "contacting IPod software server" and it looks like it is loading. However, after about 5 seconds it stops and says "ITunes could not connect to the IPod software server". I found the apple webpage that is supposed to help me, but when i went to the LAN settings in the control panel i found that 'Automatically detect settings" was already checked. I do not know what to do, Please help.
If yo mean the iPod will not connect to your wifi network:
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Do other devices now connect?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Plug it into power for at least 15 minutes. If it doesn't automatically come on, try a reset... press the home and sleep (on/off) buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I downloaded the latest iOS7 to my iPad and then the screen went blank and would not respond. I have tried pressing the two buttons together and briefly get the Apple logo but still can not restart, the logo disappears. I have tried connecting to my iMac to restore the iPad but the device does not show up (I have an old iMac). What else can I do?
You need to be running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 at the very least in order to sync your iPad with iTunes so you could update your Mac, if it can be updated, and if you care to do so.
If that's not an option, you will have to find someone that can restore the device for you with their computer running iTunes or make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask them to restore the device for you.
I hope that you have an iCloud backup, because you will lose everything on the device when it is restored.

Also, I would not give up on the reset technique....holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears. It takes about 10-15 seconds and sometimes just a little longer to get the logo to appear. -

Do any apps no sync to the iPod?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?

I have an IPhone 4, and I wanted to reset it, but couldn't do it via computer because the "find my IPhone" was turned on. So I went to ICloud > Find My IPhone and just erased my phone from there. The was acting weird but I finally got to a black screen with the spinning circle. And it won't advance. I can't just hold the sleep button and home button down because my sleep button is broken! It sounds like you have a credit card saved to your Apple ID payment information and you would like it to be removed from the account and set the payment method to None. You should be able to do this with the following article:
