You're not obligated to insert a gift code. But you can purchase gift codes on the Apple online store (gift cards or certificates) or Apple Retail store
Gift codes are pre paid cards so you can use credit on the iTunes Store to purchase content

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased. -

Hi guys, basically I'm trying to sync my phone with new music and upgrade to 7.0.6, but its not letting me as I apparently dont't have enough room on my phone. It is also saying that 'Other' taking up 3.6gb on my phone, what is this and how can I get rid of it? (Without losing photos etc. already on my phone)

iPod Nano 2nd Generation is requesting 4 digit code. I have never set a lock code. What is this and how can I get my Nano running again?
There is no other way to bypass the combintation lock other than to connect the nano to iTunes and restore it to factory settings, erasing all content and settings from the iPod.

When I plug in my iPod nano 4th gen to iTunes and click on my iPod, I can see a graph showing how much space is available on my iPod and what it is being taken up by. A lot of space is taken up by 'other'. What is this? I have a big iTunes library, with about 2000 songs, so I don't want all this space taken up by something I don't know what it is. How can I get rid of it?

I would probably suggest backing up them photos to your computer and then performing a restore on the phone which will wipe everything off and start again.

I have successfully created a new Apple Id. But when I am trying to update my apps on my iPhone5C, the old Apple Id is appearing. Please let me know how to update?
You should be able to log out of an account by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store and you can then log in with your new account.
Any content that you downloaded with your old account will remain tied to that old account, so only that account can potentially redownload them and/or download updates to its apps. You should be able to reset the password on an iTunes account via http://iforgot.apple.com e.g. by answering the account's security questions. -
Screen Message on P.C. "File "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.
What is this and how can it be fixed, please?Problem solved by doing the following:
Open PC/Mac and search for iTunes Library.
From the list, select the most recent version of iTunes Library. Save this to a folder.
Delete iTunes from your computer.
Install latest version of iTunes.
When I opened the new version of iTunes, everything was there as before.
I didn't need to import the saved version of iTunes Library. Maybe this happens automatically????? -

Are you formatting it correctly? - username @ someDomain .com <- NO Spaces (I did it so the system wouldn't make an email link out of it)
Tell us what happens when you realize that Apple is "not recognizing" your email. What message do you get, exactly? Take screenshot of the entire screen for context

I am going through a divorce and she has the computer. I'm trying to tranfer my music to a new computer but for about 100 songs its asking for her authorization password that I dont have. How can I get these songs transfered or can I?
It sounds like two Apple accounts were used in the purchase of songs, yours and hers. Assuming she won't give you her password, you're kinda stuck. For $129 or so you can repurchase them all.
By the way, if she has the computer and it has your account info in it, you ought to change your password. -

What is "WebWatch" and how can I get rid of it? It just showed up on my home computer. It pops up every few minutes while I'm on line and drives me crazy whem I'm trying to work or just read. That is either a bug in Firefox 5 or the script has a problem with Firefox 5.<br />

Why do youtube Videos Sputter Along?
