HT5625 ibook search keyboard very slow

since i upgrade my ipod touch 5gen to ios 8.0.2 my ibooks search become very slow, it took couple seconds to type one letter
and i restart it and still the same
then i upgrade to 8.1 and still the same
does anyone have the same problem?

OAM Identity Server user search is very slow after upgrading to 10.1.4.2

We recently upgraded Identity-Server from 7.0.4 to 10.1.4.2 + BP10. The new webpass (version 10.1.4.2) is on iPlanet webserver, which does not have any bundled patch available. After this upgrade, we found the user search is very slow. It is taking double the time compare to version 7.0.4. The search performance for NetPoint admin users is fine.
The new version is connecting to the same LDAP (Sun 5.2) as the old one. The 7.0.4 version was well tuned (like Ldap connections, caching, etc) for the performance. The migration suppose to carryover those performance configuration to the new version. Is there any new parameter (related to performance) I should look for in version 10 ? Anybody have faced these issues after migration and found a fix for it ?

Following one of the other similar posts I discovered that you only need to reset the keyboard dictionary to fix this problem rather than reseting all your settings
settings - general - reset - reset keyboard dictionary
Saves having to go through all your settings and adjusting them again all you lose is any of the words you've added to the dictionary.

Save Search Running Very Slow

I have a custom page with a query Bean and have Simple, Advanced and View Panels enabled. My Search functionality works great, very fast. However, when I save a search... any search... no matter how small the resultset...When I go into the views panel... The views run VERY slow. The results do eventually come back, but it takes 3-5 minutes compared to 3-5 seconds when I run the same search from my search panels.
Does anybody know what OAF does in the background of the Views Panel? Does it alter the SQL differently then when I simply run a search?
Any help is much appreciated.

I had the same problem when I setup a new computer this week. Here's what I had installed:
Photoshop CS5
Suitcase Fusion 3
The problem was that when I was in Photoshop and used the "Save for Web" export screen, the dropdown menu for the different export types (JPG, PNG, GIF, etc) would take an extremely long time to update the preview of the graphic.
After a few days of research , I found that Suitcase was conflicting with Photoshop. Here's how you fix the problem (or at least here's what I did with my situation):
Open Suitcase
Go to "Tools", click "Manage Plugins"
Deactivate the Photoshop plugin
This fixed the problem immediately and now my Photoshop" Save For Web" feature is working really fast. Hope this helps anyone else in the same boat.

TS3048 Wireless Keyboard very slow!

Hi Guys,
Just got myself a new ipad for work as i wanted to use it to compile reports. Bought a wireless keyboard, downloaded pages and everything was hunky dory until yesterday. I disconnected my pad from the keyboard and when i came to reconnect i noticed the keyboard was very slow and jittery at typing. You go to type a word and you have typed it before it even appears on the screen, and it takes about a second for each charater to load, its ridicolous. Also i have noticed it is duplicating letters but i'm not holding down the keys for a long period of time, this seems to be really sensitive. So by the time i have typed hello it comes out out 'hhelloo', then it is just as slow deleting than it is appearing. Tried changing the batteries but this has made no difference what else can i try?
Any suggestions as i am really loosing my patience and don't want to be throwing this keyboard off of the wall any time soon!

Was the keyboard previously paired with something else? What indications/messages do you receive?
In any event, try resetting the PRAM and SMC.

File search is very slow in iTunes

I have a MacMini 2.3 GHz, quad-core i7 processor with 16 gigabytes of memory using an Apple 1 terabyte hybrid hard drive. I also have it connected to a 1.5 terabyte secondary back up drive.
My problem is when I do a file search for tunes in my library in iTunes, the first two letters come up and then the round searching indicator comes on for maybe up to 30 seconds before it finds matches with just the first two letters. Any additional letters added to the search takes up even more time. It's as if the files are not indexed or something. It is completely annoying. When I search for music files in Finder, it finds them instantly with each stroke of the keyboard.
Has anyone else had this problem and solved it?

Further update....
If I just start to type in, Claire, ical stalls as soon as the c is typed and no further letters appear whilst the spinning beach ball happens.
However, if I paste the word claire into the search box the search is almost instantaneous and complete for all of the calendars
It is almost as if the search takes the first letter and gets confused trying to find every word with a c
I have Typeit4me which I have now disabled with no change
I also have BusySync which is turned off and has been for some time.
Any ideas anyone?

Is there any patch or fix for the extreme slowness using the Bluetooth LB with Pages? It's at the point where it's nearly useless.

Try new batteries and try restarting your iPad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.

Initial search on ITunes store very slow

We're using ITunes 7.6 on a Windows Vista PC. Users without parental controls can access the store with no issues. Kids accounts, though, can access Itunes and the store, but the initial search is very slow - 10 minutes on a 6 MB DSL connection. When these searches finally complete, access is then at expected speeds - a few seconds per request. I have not had any successful tips from tech support yet. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes and Quicktime.

IOS 4.2 very slow and unstable

since updating to IOS4.2 my iphone 4 has the following symptoms:
- very slow to pop up with the keyboard
- very slow when typing (keeps getting stuck)
- slow switching between safari pages, and loading other pages
- slow when scrolling on anything
- randomly crashes and reboots
- it gets worse and worse after 10-15 mins of use
- it has become borderline un-usable!
on 4.1 there was a few minor bugs but it was generally fast/stable.
i have looked on itunes to see if i can restore it to a previous synch'd version of 4.1 but it doesnt look like i can, without deleting ALL of my apps, texts, photos, favourites etc!
this has got to be the biggest **** up ever, not only is IOS4.2 terrible on the iphone 4 but Itunes software is the most clunky useless lacking program for updating/restoring the iphone anyway.
i guess the next IOS update will be 2 - 3 months away and it might still be unstable, i dont know if i can live with it that long, i might aswell send it back as its still on warranty and insured....

some words like ' c\s full , m\s xxxxx like this because of \ it is not searching... if i replace to '' it is not searching the word that i require.
if i search the words that have number 432323XXX these words search are very slow

The performance of full-text queries could be influenced by various factors, such as memory, disk speed, fragmented catalog and so on. To improve the performance of full-text queries, please consider the following things.
• Reduce the number of fragments, reorganize the full-text catalog by using the REORGANIZE option of the ALTER FULLTEXT CATALOG Transact-SQL statement.
• Limit results and increase performance by using the top_n_by_rank parameter of the FREETEXTTABLE and CONTAINSTABLE functions.
• Check the full-text query plan to make sure that the appropriate join plan is chosen.

Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

IBooks is very slow, Sometimes it takes up to 10 seconds to turn the page. I use the German edition of Yosemite and iBooks.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Since installing ICloud, and updating IO, programs and websites close whenever I scroll, going back to home page. I have tried turning it off, but that does not work. Can anyone help me out? Also, the keyboard is very slow.

I am frustrated with the new update and the ICloud. Any program i open, or website I am in, closes suddenly, an returns to the Home page. Also the keyboard is very slow. None of this existed until I did the two updates. Can anyone help?

There is no coverage map as such.
I live in what is considered a rural area and had techs driving 60-70 miles one way to get to me, never an issue.
Obviously, YMMV.
In my not-so-modest experience, both onsite and accidental damage upgrades are worth every penny if one intends to keep their ThinkPads for an extended period of time.

I am having the same problem. Did turning off iCloud work? Did you just turn everything off or did you actually delete the account off your iPod?
