does anyone have problems with the mouse pad? it doesnt work 70% of the time, have to add a mouse thru the usb

Problems with the mouse pad

For no reason the mouse button un my MacBook Pro got very noisy and you can feel that it works a bit harder. There was no dirt ore liquid getting in my Laptop. Did someone else has experiense this problem.

I'm figuring it might be related to me not having the battery on it for a while yesterday. on monday i'm taking it into the local retailer and having the guy open it up and clean it out. I have a feeling there is something between the mouse button and the metal piece under it, but it's just a hunch, because the problem only started after me having the battery pack off for a fair bit. We tried spraying compressed air underneath and it did nothing.

I want to clarify the issue.
The issue is with the MBP trackpad, and it works fine with an attached USB mouse.
With some ingenuity, you might be able to fix this yourself, but I suggest visiting your local Apple Store/Genius Bar. Some have fixed this issue and have posted their results online, but the Apple Store should be your first destination.

I have inserted a mini cd in my Mac Book Pro and cannot eject it. I have tried re-starting with F12 depressed and re-starting with the mouse pad depressed.

I have inserted a mini cd in my cd drive but the drive did not detect it; I am unable to eject the cd. I have tried re-starting with F12 depressed and also re-starting with the mouse pad depressed.
I am in a country where I belive there is no Apple support - Azerbaijan.
Apart from a tin opener, any other methods for extracting the mini cd.
I only found out that mini cds are not suitable after inserting this one and then reading 2 help manuals!!!

Take it to a place that repairs computers if you're not close to any apple authorized dealer.
You user guide clearly states that you can not use smaller CDs in your Macbook.
Lesson learned. Hopefully a repair shop can get it out for you.
Do not try to take it out yourself. You might cause more damage than good to your macbook.

Problem with cq56 mouse pad

I purchased CQ56 laptop new in February 2011, for about 8 months now, the mouse pad is mostly inoperable, and the only operating portion of the mouse pad is about 20 percent of the actual pad located on the upper left hand side of the pad. is this a software or hardware flaw, can this be fixed with software or does it need replacement hardware, pc should still be under warranty.

Boot into safe mode and see if the problem is still happening.
Turn off the computer.
As you power it back on tap the F8 key.
Advanced boot options will load.
Select safe mode with networking.
If it is not happening in safe mode you can perform a clean boot to determine which software is causing the problem.

Problems with the touch pad z40

I have an almmost new z40 (bought it in march) and just yesterday the buttons of the mouse pad stopped working. The mouse runs over the desktop perfectly but I can't click on anything either with the left button.

One way to isolate the problem if it is a Software settings or a Hardware problem,
Check the functionality of the Touchpad inside the Recovery Mode
Try booting the system into Recovery Mode.
Turn OFF the computer and Press the OKR Button, Select Recovery
While on the Recovery where the mouse pointer is available, Try checking the touchpad buttons by click the Next or Cancel.
If it will still won't respond, You might need to contact Lenovo Technical Team for Hardware assistance.

Problems with the mouse timing (CS 5)

The mouse timing is completely off on my project. I am used to using CS 4 where the mouse timing was simply spread evenly throughout the length of the mouse bar i.e. the movement didn't automatically jump towards the end of it's alotted timeetc. In CS 5, however, the mouse doesn't even end up where I assign it to go. It also doesn't start to move until halfway intio the mouse bar and then it starts moving slow and eventually doesn't even reach it's assinged destination! I've checked that the "Reduce Speed before Click" setting is indeed off. I am familiar with Captivate, this doesn't seem to be working the way it should. Is there an update? Could it be a problem that I am working on a project originally created in CS 4. Please help.

I created a Captivate 4 recording project with mouse movements and upgraded it to Captivate 5 and published the project, for me the mouse trial is proper and clicks in the intended areas in the application. I dont see the delay as well.
Can you let me know
1. If i have missed any steps above ?
2. If you have resized the project in Cp4 and then upgraded in Cp5 ?

First, you have to try and determine if it's software or hardware related. It sounds though, like you may have a trackpad issue.
1. Try using a mouse plugged into the unit. Does it do it then?
2. Login as another User. Does it do it then?
3. Boot from your install DVD and play with it there. Can you get it to act up now?

My firefox browser is randomly scrolling. I have no idea why. Could it be a problem with the mouse?

Problems with the items (control) in forms 9i (Re)

I write this problem in a other post and but don't have any feedback about it(So I will give another try:-) )
The problem that I will describe don't happen all the time and is very rare but I want to know if it's a normal bug of forms or something more special of our PL/SQL code...
So here we are.
Is there others developpers here that have problems with the mouse cursor of the user that seems to be "jammed"(blocked, trapped) in a text item (or another control, like a list item). When this problems happen, the user can't go on another field of the forms with his mouse cursor(Mouse click), the only thing that can resolve that is to refresh the page with Internet Explorer, and after that, he is free to go on another field of the forms.
This problem is very rare but happens sometimes.

This problem is due to failuer of navigation of mouse cursore. For more specific solution can you give the error message and error code, So that we can have exact picture. Waiting for error code......

How does the mouse pad work?

I'm using a friend's macbook pro with 10.5.7 with the mouse pad that responds to one and two fingers. How does it work? I find I touch and the page moves in ways I did not intend. I understand it responds to one and two finger touches but do not know how to use it. can anyone help?

Problems with pro mouse

Finally got a Pro Mouse for my G4 (still non-mac keyboard though). But it seems that there is a problem with the mouse now. I got it second hand from a friend and saw it working on his computer, but I plug it in to mine and I get no response! I've tried plugging it into different ports and restarting the computer with no luck...any suggestions?

I just tried to do what you said in your answer and after restarting the computer everything worked fine for a short period of time, after that everything was as before.
I took the magic mouse to an apple store a couple of days ago, they tried it in several computers and everything was fine. I also checked my macbook's bluetooth with other devices and I didn't find any problems.
I still have until monday to fix the issue before the 14 day trial period expires, so you are welcome if you have any more suggestions.
