The "automatic Install" in the windows support software does not work. I cannot see the USB in Windows to manually start set up.
I have downloaded windows support software from Apple 3 time with the same result. Where can I get a clean copy of the Windows support software?
Did you correctly format your usb stick in accordance with the Boot Camp installation instructions? Go here to the Boot Camp System Requirements page, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5634, look for your computer model/year and download the correct version of Windows Support software.

hopelessIf you didn't back up the phone to iCloud or iTunes (on your computer) BEFORE attempting the update, the data will be lost.

IPhoto 9 does not save edits, cannot see the edited photo except in the edit panel

I am a macbook pro user, OSX 10.6.8, iPhoto 9 - 8.1.2
The problem - noise edits of my pictures are not saved, I do not see the edited version of the photo in the iPhoto album or event, my photo prints only monochrome on the HP 1280 inkjet printer and that too only the original version.
Crop edits are however saved as are enhancements.
Solutions tried thus far - creating a new library by holding the "option" button pressed on launching iPhoto and importing pictures to the new library - no good.
I have seen the Library Manager based solution on these forums, so where to get the library manager.

AshishTo re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only. -

You don't need to download the Windows support software, because in Snow Leopard, they are only available as a download for the Late 2010 MacBook Air.
Instead, you have to buy Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The Snow Leopard disc contains the Windows drivers for your Mac, so you have to install them after finishing the Windows installation -
Firefox 5 does not work, it cannot connect to the net
I have tried two times to install Firefox 5, but it does not work, it cannot find the net at all. It tells (in Finnish) "Muodostetaan yhteyttä" ("Creating the connection" or something like that in English) and it stops to that point of installation when there should come your Mozilla page up. I am using Win 7 Ultimate and F-Secure Client Security. Luckily it is possilble to install back the version 4.0.1. At my laptop with Win XP there is no problem with version 5.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Hi all
I am trying to install windows 7 using bootcamp on my I5 Mac mini but every time bootcamp moves on to downloading the windows support files i get the error "Windows support software could not be saved to the selcted folder" my usb drive is an 8Gb model and has been formatted by the mac mini using FAT.
I'm really pulling my hair out with this so any help would be much appreciated!Finally resolved the issue, i just get persisting with the windows support software download and after 20 attempts it worked!

I am trying to use bootcamp assistant to set up windows 7 on my 27" iMac (late 2013). I follow the instructions: select all the tasks in the 'select tasks' pane, then I choose the 32GB MS-DOS (FAT-32) flash drive that I am using and the windows 7 home premium image file and click continue. In the Task Status pane, it first formats the flash drive, copies the windows files and downloads windows support software. However every time that I have tried this, when the progress bar is about 2/3 of the way finished -- during the 'Downloading Windows Support Software' task -- an error pops up saying that 'The Windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive' and brings me back to the task selection pane. Upon reading other articles, I have downloaded the latest bootcamp5.1.5621.zip file, but I don't know what to do with it. Any help is greatly appreciated,

AdamJust posting this for anyone else having this problem. I found that the problem was that I was using a USB 3.0 flash drive which is not natively supported by windows. So I think BCA was trying to prevent me from downloading all the files for no reason.

After 4 calls to apple and 8 and a half hours on the phone. The apple people does not how to solve the problem. The last thing they told me is that they will send the problem to their engineers and I will hear from them. unfortunately they have not contact me.

After installing acrobat my Microsoft office package does not work properly, word will not open and when I want to write an email in my outlook email i can't select anything with the mouse. so copy past en delete are not an option.@
Are you using any MS Office third party Add-ins? Test: Remove third party Add-ins other than PDFMaker. Test to see if the MS Office apps run afterward.
Did you attempt to repair MS Office? Test: Go to Add/Remove Control Panel run Repair.
Finally, have you tried testing to see if it's PDFMaker? Test: Use the Add/Remove Control Panel to modify the Acrobat installation to remove PDFMaker. See if MS Office applications launch and behave correctly? -
Windows support software is not available
I'm running MacOS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) on a 1st-generation Macbook (Core Duo, won't run Lion). When I tell Boot Camp Assistant to download the Windows support software, I get a message that "The Windows support software is not available." I do have the Snow Leopard install disc, but it (obviously) did not come with my computer so it seems like I should not use that option. How can/should I proceed?
Never mind, right after posting (despite previously searching for relevant discussions), I found my answer in a different thread. According to Fortunny, this is not required for Boot Camp 3.0.Correct. The Windows support/driver software is on your OSx install disk unless you are running Lion. If running Lion you download the support software.

in iTunes 11.1 (I26) , I cannot find how to delete podcast listings showing undownloaded podcasts. Delete does not work. Option Delete does not work. Dragging to the trash does not work. Under Edit, Delete is greyed out. Mac OS 10.6.8.
Tom at the Genius Bar told me that Option Delete would work. It does not.
I had to upgrade to iTunes 11.1.(I26) because it is required with OS7 on my iPod Touch (5th Gen). I have tried shutting down iTunes, then shutting down the entire system. This is the first in many visits that the Genius Bar gave me a solution that did not work.
This is a big awkward computer locked to my desk. I would rather not unlock it and then carry it through a shopping center to the Genius Bar if i can avoid oit.

Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.

When I try to open a new tab using the "+" on the toolbar, nothing happens. Even trying to use the cntl t to open a new tab does not work. To open a new tab, I must right click on a hyperlink. how can I correct this? Using Firefox 3.6.18
The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
