Just guessing, but I would think, as I look at mine, that it might have to do with when the apps were added to the device. To be honest, identifying this as a bug might not be correct.     This can also be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

    Perhaps you have an app running. Try force quitting.
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
    If that doesn't make a difference, reset your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds until you see the Apple logo.
    Make sure your iPad software is up to date. Connect the iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes if it doesn't open automatically. Under the Summary tab click: Check for Update

  • My mac mini loses connection with my receiver after turning off the receiver then back on

    My Mac Mini loses connection with my Onkyo receiver NR-609 after turning off the receiver then back on.  The only way to reistablish the connection is to unplug then replug the HDMI cable to the Mac Mini.  There's no effect if I unplug then replug the HDMI to the receiver.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.  I've searched a lot but haven't found much of anything so if this is covered elsewhere I would greatly appreciate a link.

    Hi and thanks.  I don't know about the audio prefs.  When it happens I am not able to see or hear anything from the computer until I un/re-plug the HDMI to the Mini.  I'm not sure it's changing to something else because there's nothing else connected for it to change to.  I could see that perhaps the audio will change to the Mac Mini's internal speaker. 
    I found out last night that if, after I lose the signal,  I use my ipad to play a video on the Mac Mini using the Remote app and home sharing the signal gets righted and I can see/hear the computer again.  It's quite an inconvenient fix though and I wish and hope someone here can help me.

    My new iPhone 6+ seems to eat up data at a faster rate than my iPhone 4.  I was advised that turning off cellular data when I am at home or work where I have wifi will keep my cellular data usage to a minimum.  But I have found that I frequently forget to turn it off the cellular once I have finished a task where I needed it. Is there a way to have it turn itself off automatically after a period of time? Thanks

    No, you will have to manually do it.
    Have you look into putting your phone in airplane mode and then connect to wifi.

    I'd rather see the application icon for some files than see every file have a preview in the finder.

    a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card --  I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos
    Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database

  • After resetting Firefox, LCD screen has lost some of its sharpness - like there are pixels missing - WHY?

    I have a PC running Windows 7 Ultimate. Lately when I am in Firefox (running most current version), if I try to open more than one tab, Firefox slows down and I get the message "Mozilla Firefox not responding"; within a few seconds whatever site I am trying to open in the new tab opens; Firefox just seems to be sluggish. I finally tried resetting Firefox. After I did the reset, I noticed that the images on my monitor (Acer LCD S200hl) seemed to be less clear, even the wallpaper. As I type this, there appear to be holes in the image on screen, as if pixels are missing. Some of the letters look as if they are not completely filled in. The only change is that I reset Firefox.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    In case it's an incompatibility between Firefox and your graphics card driver, try disabling Firefox's use of hardware acceleration. You might have done this once before, but of course, the Reset turns it back on.
    orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
    On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    This will take effect after you exit and restart Firefox. Any difference?

  • Strange noise after turning off the notebook (dv6-6160ew)

    Hi I'v just got my new notebook dv6-6160ew and I am kinda worried about one thing, whenever i turn it off, about one second after it powers off i can hear a quite loud noise that saund as if a spinning disc was slowing down and stopping, im guessing that it is the hdd (as there is no cd incide the cd-drive) so I just want to know if this is normal as I have never experienced it with any other notebook and I've had quite a few (no hp though). I will be very gratefull for the answer.

    Just put the iPod to sleep by tapping the sleep/wake button. Then you can wake it and continue playback. You can also double tap the home button to see iPod playback controls while the iPod is locked.
