cant play youtube video while playing game or opening other apps, but last time can! why?

Is your friends phone jailbroke? Also are you using the facebook app? If so then you need to ask the developer of the app what the problem is.

  • I want to play video on my computer to make some analysis to frames, the problem that I face ,I can't change video frame rate using labview, but I can change frame rate to the video out of labview using some program

    HI All
I want to play video on my computer to make some analysis to it's frames, the problem that I face ,I can't change video frame rate using labview, but I can change frame rate to the video out of labview using some program .
I used IMAQ AVI Read Frame VI
for example I have avi video It's frame rate is 25 fbs ,my image processing code is very fast that can process more 25 fbs,so I want to accelerate video acquisition

    Hi abdelhady,
I looked into this further, and reading an AVI file into LabVIEW faster than its frames per second won't be possible. LabVIEW could read in frames faster than 25fps, but because it will be pulling the available frame at that point in time this would just give you duplicate frames. If you want to be able to read in frames at faster than 25fps, you would need to speed up your AVI file before reading into LabVIEW.
There's a good shipping example to show how to read in from an AVI file, "Read AVI File.vi". You'll notice that they add timing to make sure that the while loop runs at the right speed to match up with the frames per second of the file being read. This is to make sure you're not reading duplicate frames.

        Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
    2.  Enable Plug-ins
        Safari > Preferences > Security

Click in the box for "Enable Plug-ins".
    3. Check  whether you are currently  in  YouTube HTML 5 trial.
         http://www.youtube.com/html5
At the bottom  left of the page  uncheck the box for
"You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
    4. Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Uncheck the boxes next to all items.
Check the box next to "Remove all website data".
        Click "Reset".
    5. Turn off Extensions/Plug-ins if any that may interfere with Flash working properly.
        Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Can somebody advice me what to do... when I want to play video on iPad, the screen is just black....it was just fine this morning. In iTunes it shows the movies are there.

Try starting the movie using a backdoor approach.
Swipe down from the middle of any home screen in order to bring up the Spotlight Search Feature. Type in the name of the movie in the text field. When the movie appears in the search, tap on it and that should launch the videos app and hopefully the movie will being to play.

Safari 8.0.2 does not play any sound (but sound works in other apps).

    Hi Michaelgst,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you do not hear sound from Safari on your computer but you do hear sound in other applications. There may be several troubleshooting steps I would suggest to troubleshoot this situation.
The first troubleshooting steps I would recommend would be removing any unsupported third-party add-ons. Please use the information and instructions located in the attached article to complete this process.
Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues - Apple Support

  • TS1702 My app store, Apple ID, safari, and most other apps do not work after upgrading to iSO 6, How do i solve this problem?

My app store, Apple ID, safari, and most other apps do not work after upgrading to iSO 6, How do i solve this problem? Can somebody help me please?

The App store is a problem for many and I have not seen a solution.
What is "wrong" with your Apple ID?
    Try the following:
    - A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • My Ipod touch plays music but every time I open an app that I have downloaded it closes immediately.  This started happening after updating to the latest version of Ipod software.

My Ipod touch plays music but every time I open an app that I have downloaded it closes immediately.  This started happening after updating to the latest version of Ipod software.

Here's a couple things to try:
    1. Reset the iPod by holding the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
    2. Uninstall and reinstall one of your purchased apps. Sometimes this can rectify the issue.
    3. Connect the iPod to iTunes and restore it. New system software usually resolves the issue. Make sure you sync before restoring because a restore removes the data from your iPod.
Hope one of these works for you!

  • Playing  Video on the iPhone while it is locked

im currently using the iphone 4 with firmware 4.3
Not to long ago, i was able to play video when my phone is locked or doing other things.
what i mean by that is...
    while locked
    1. i have a video running
    2. i lock the phone while video is running (this cause the video to pause)
    3. i then double click the home button to access the ipod controls
    4. hit the play arrow and ill have the audio for the acutal video.
    or while doing other things
    1. i have a video running
    2. i hit the home button (this cause the video to pause but phone not locked)
    3. double click the home button and scroll to the left to get the ipod controls
    4. hit the play arrow and ill have the audio for the acutal video.
But recently this feature does not workk anymore. the reason why i do this is because i have music video which i like to listen too, and can always jump back in the watch the ones i like. and for other video which has a lot of audio (russel peters!)
does anyone know of a fix to this? i really liked this feature but aint working for me anymore. i have to leave ipod running on my iphone and cannot lock it.
im am not sure if upgrading to the firmware of 4.3 caused this because i dont know when exactly the feature stopped.
    anyhelp would be appreciated.
    thanks

    Hi,
I found a solution.  Go to itunes and change the classification of your videos from "movie" to "music video".
    1.  Go to iTunes and find the video(s) you want to change and right-click on it with the mouse and select "Get Info".
***To change multiple videos at once, highlight all the videos then right-click on them.
    2.  Go to the Options tab and look for the entry called Media. Then select music video.
    3.  It will take a minute or so for each video to update the media type.
You can highlight mulitple videos and do it all at once.  Once you change the classification, your videos will move into the music section of iTunes.  No need to change your playlists, they will work properly after you sync your iphone.
Keep in mind that you will also see the same videos under the video section labeled music video on your iphone.  If you play from here, you can't play it when the screen is locked.  It will only play while the screen is locked if you play it from your playlist or if you click on the video under the music sections (Playlists, Artists, Songs)
    Enjoy!

  • CS4 using a Mac and want to play video using windows media player

Hi I am having issues with file types to play video back using Windows media player.
I am producing video using Premiere CS4 on a Mac and I need to know what format to use to have the files play in windows media player as .mp4 is not compatable with wm player.
    Thanks

I have Windows Media Player installed on my PC workstation and I do remember installing a codec so that MP4 files could play in WMPlayer 11 on Windows Vista 64-bit (should work on 32-bit also)
look near the bottom section of this link for further information.  The codec is called DirectShow
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992#34
Otherwise if you're posting videos on a webpage for example in the mp4 format use the Quicktime html wrapper so that people using Mac's can also view your videos that are encoded for PC's.  If you encode in wmv format (Windows Media Video) then provide a link to the "Flip4Mac" application that can use Quicktime on the Mac to play Windows Media Files.  I think you can find it on www.mactopia.com .

  • Green screen when I play videos on my computer while using itunes

Hey I just bought a new computer, and I installed the new itunes and quicktime and whenever i try to play videos that i bought from itunes i can here the music but i get a green screen instead of the video. I have tried reinstalling itunes/quicktime and I am still having no luck. Hopefully somebody can help me out

    Hello Reaper398
Could quick suggestions I have for you
    1. Quit iTunes, And download and install latest Adobe Flash Player
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
*Recommended to reboot after it is installed.
When you get back up and running. Feel free to test movie out again. And see if the green image continues.
    If it does proceed below.
    2. Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features
-If you got Multiple versions of Adobe Flash Plugins. You may wish to uninstall all of them, Then download and install latest Adobe one last time http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
    Reboot as needed.
If this continues again proceed to step 3.
    3. Launch Control Panel - Switch to Classic view if you are not in it. You can see this as an option in the left hand corner of Control Panel
Double click on Quicktime, Go to Advanced Tab - And Empty Cache.
Keep this Window Open, Test Movie Out, If it continues. Close iTunes one last time. Go back to the Window we left open. This time Click on Safe Mode (GDI only) for now.
This is typically caused by outdated Flash Software and or Direct X Software. IF you have Vista you should already have latest Direct X Installed.
If you got XP visit the link below for latest Direct X drivers. As this may also assist without having to use the Safe Mode (GDI) only

  • Safari, Quicken Essentials, other apps freezing after installing Maveric

Okay, I installed OS X 10.9 when it first came out.  Then started having issues with apps freezing, like Safari, Quicken Essentials and other apps.   I noticed this only after installing Maverick.   The only time the freeze would go away, would be after re-starting.    Then, it seemed the app would freeze again ONLY after I have been away from the computer for a while (maybe screen saver mode causes this issue?).   After not being able to figure it out, I un-installed Maverick and went back with TimeMachine and stayed away from Maverick thinking the issue would get fixed and letting bugs go by.  I just re-installed Maverick a few days ago and the issue is still there.  So, before I un-intsall again, I figured I would check here for any fix or if anyone else was having the same issue.
Example would be, as soon as you try to open the app, it immediately freezes and you get the round twirling circle that goes on indefintely.    The only time it will work, is after you re-start and then you can open it up.  If I leave the computer un-attended for a few hours and then come back, freezing happens again.   Not all apps act this way.  FireFox seems to have no issues.
Anyone else having this issue and if so, have you found a resolution?

...  Do you recommend something else that would take it's place?   Like a free program, since I paid something for CleanMyMac2.
No. Using CleanMyMac2 can result in deleting required system components that must not be deleted, and cannot be deleted using normal means. Reports of misery resulting from using it or similar "cleaning" utilities are common on this site. You should demand your money back.
OS X maintains itself very well. Periodic "cleaning" is not required and can only result in degraded performance at best; a corrupted and useless Mac at worst. The perceived need for aftermarket utilities is probably attributable to many new Mac users who became inured to them after years of using Windows PCs.
Though Norton / Symantec's garbage has a different purpose, it is capable of doing nothing beneficial will also cause the same results.
A much better question is "how should I protect my Mac":
Never install any product that claims to "speed up", "clean up", "optimize", or "accelerate" your Mac. Without exception, they will do the opposite.
Never install pirated or "cracked" software, software obtained from dubious websites, or other questionable sources. Illegally obtained software is almost certain to contain malware.
Don’t supply your password in response to a popup window requesting it, unless you know what it is and the reason your credentials are required.
Don’t open email attachments from email addresses that you do not recognize, or click links contained in an email:
Most of these are scams that direct you to fraudulent sites that attempt to convince you to disclose personal information.
Such "phishing" attempts are the 21st century equivalent of a social exploit that has existed since the dawn of civilization. Don’t fall for it.
Apple will never ask you to reveal personal information in an email. If you receive an unexpected email from Apple saying your account will be closed unless you take immediate action, just ignore it. If your iTunes or App Store account becomes disabled for valid reasons, you will know when you try to buy something or log in to this support site, and are unable to.
Don’t install browser extensions unless you understand their purpose. Go to the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions. If you see any extensions that you do not recognize or understand, simply click the Uninstall button and they will be gone.
Don’t install Java unless you are certain that you need it:
Java, a non-Apple product, is a potential vector for malware. If you are required to use Java, be mindful of that possibility.
Disable Java in Safari > Preferences > Security.
Despite its name JavaScript is unrelated to Java. No malware can infect your Mac through JavaScript. It’s OK to leave it enabled.
Block browser popups: Safari menu > Preferences > Security > and check "Block popup windows":
Popup windows are useful and required for some websites, but popups have devolved to become a common means to deliver targeted advertising that you probably do not want.
Popups themselves cannot infect your Mac, but many contain resource-hungry code that will slow down Internet browsing.
If you ever see a popup indicating it detected registry errors, that your Mac is infected with some ick, or that you won some prize, it is 100% fraudulent. Ignore it.
Ignore hyperventilating popular media outlets that thrive by promoting fear and discord with entertainment products arrogantly presented as "news". Learn what real threats actually exist and how to arm yourself against them:
The most serious threat to your data security is phishing. To date, most of these attempts have been pathetic and are easily recognized, but that is likely to change in the future as criminals become more clever.
OS X viruses do not exist, but intentionally malicious or poorly written code, created by either nefarious or inept individuals, is nothing new.
Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don’t want it any more.
If you elect to use "anti-virus" software, familiarize yourself with its limitations and potential to cause adverse effects, and apply the principle immediately preceding this one.
Most such utilities will only slow down and destabilize your Mac while they look for viruses that do not exist, conveying no benefit whatsoever - other than to make you "feel good" about security, when you should actually be exercising sound judgment, derived from accurate knowledge, based on verifiable facts.
Do install updates from Apple as they become available. No one knows more about Macs and how to protect them than the company that builds them.
Summary: Use common sense and caution when you use your Mac, just like you would in any social context. There is no product, utility, or magic talisman that can protect you from all the evils of mankind.

  • Problems created by latest updates. Safari, Mail, and other apps are hosed.

If there is a better forum to post this, please let me know. I don't see a forum specific to auto-updates...
Today auto-update installed Security Update 2006-003 v1.0 and QuickTime 7.1. After this install, I now have the following symptoms:
    1. Mail will not start. No window, no menu. Dock shows app not repsonding.
    2. Safari will not start. A blank window appears and the menu is painted. Dock shows app not responding.
    3. MS IE still functions. So, there is network connectivity. I am posting this using IE. Both Safari and IE have home set to apple.com/startpage/
    4. The System Preferences app starts and functions for most settings. However, if I select Accounts in order to disable the auto-start of Mail, the Prefs app never switches to the Accounts display, and it hangs forever.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Is there any way to roll back an update to see if that really is the problem?

Glad your problem was resolved. Just saw this thread and was curious after your clean install and Combo Update to 10.3.9 did you reinstall Security Update 2006-003 which was giving you problems with Safari and Mail.
You mentioned you have since run Disk Utility. From experience I have learned its normally a good idea to run Disk Utility before and after major updates including installation of Apple Security Updates. Did you reinstall the security update after reinstall, updating to 10.3.9 and running Disk Utility? I have not even installed Security Update 2006-003 at all or QuickTime 7.1
I don't want to risk downloading a defective update that causes more headaches than its worth. If it fixes some serious flaws and makes my Mac more secure but messes up with my system and prevents me from running Safari then obviously I won't touch it. I remember installing Security Update 2006-001 that was a nightmare. I had to do a clean OS reinstall after that to get Safari working again and reupdate to 10.3.9 so I can use QuickTime 7.
With iTunes 5 update for Mac and Windows I noticed on both my Mac and my PC (have an Apple laptop with OS X and a desktop PC with Win XP) that my shared music libraries stopped working. My Mac could not share music with my PC nor could my PC share music with my Mac. The iTunes 6.0.2 update was also problematic -- as Disk Utility stopped working.
I heard of problems in QuickTime 7.1 affecting both Macs and Windows PCs have deliberately chosen not to update either my Mac or PC to that update -- have QT 7 for Mac and Windows installed but won't update to 7.1 on either OS if it causes problems. Now I hear Security Update 2006-003 can force Safari and other apps like Mail to stop working.
Before I heard a few people say on Intel Macs the update caused OS to freeze more only (sometimes) which is a problem but didn't hear anything as serious as this. Was just considering finally downloading the update since I hadn't heard any problems yet but will now likely hold off on it indefinately. I do want my Mac to be secure but at same time don't want a faulty update to break my applications. Don't want to go through same problem I experienced when installing Security Update 2006-001 all over again with Security Update 2006-003.
After reinstalling OS X Panther and updating to 10.3.9 and running Disk Utility of course (as needed in between major installs) I deliberately did not reinstall Security Update 2006-001 I decided it was more headache than its worth. I had to reinstall OS X to get Safari working again and get rid of that update reinstalling it after that would only return the problem. Then I would have to do a clean reinstall of OS X a third time, update to 10.3.9 and QT 7 to access Safari. Of course I also reinstalled past Apple Security Updates from last year (calendar year 2005) that didn't cause trouble.
However, I did install Security Update 2006-002 later after I double checked -- waited for a while to hear if any bugs were in the update and once I felt sure it was a safe update I installed it to better secure the OS.
