i have did the steps of hooking my ipod 4th generation to computer with itunes about 7 times and it still is disabled. I need a simperly way to fix this issue. it will not work with hooking it up to itunes.. I have the newest version and done everything step by step and still disable...

YOu may connect the iPod to the computer to restore using iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery Mode to allow the restore.

I have the same problem (deleted email account). I think I mistakenly set up an account when I was buying an Apple product online, not realizing that it would be the same ID as my iTunes.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone and iPod touch software.

How Can i fix my Ipod touch from water damage?

So awhile ago i dropped my ipod touch 8GB into a toilet (water was clean). I got a new one a week later after trying things to fix my Ipod touch. But now i wanna see if ill turn on again since last few months. I have tried to press buttons in a certain way to turn in on but still nothing.I tried plugging it into my computer but still nothing.So i wanna see if anyone has a few things that may help me. Also if after you dropped you ipod touch into a toilet and grabbed it out n dried it off with something and started pressing buttons is it certainly not going to work again?

No. When you drop an electronic device, DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON. If it is on, power it off immediately. Just because the outside is dry doesn't mean the inside is. Once you turn it on while still wet, it will short circuit, and you will probably never see it on again. What you should do is power it off immediately, then get a bowl of rice or silicon packs, and put it in there for two nights. This is the best way, as the rice/silicon packs soak up all the water. After two days, you can power it on, and it most likely will work. Be patient. After one day it will look dry enough, but looks are deceiving. Sorry to tell you, but there is nothing you can do to resurrect it.

The second option of using the charger ended up working, thus making the button work again. It was working fine after doing that but then it got stuck down again and I had to put the charger in and do that again. However, all of a sudden the home button just doesn't work anymore. It's not even stuck all the way down. I can press it repeatedly but still nothing.
I've had the iPod for about 6 months now and got it off of amazon refurbished so warranty is out of the question i'm sure. If it really is broken with no way to fix it then that's fine as i've been using assitive touch for weeks now and am used to it since i've been using it egulary since there's no other way. I just wanted to ask and make sure first before anything else though.

Probably dead if you have tried to charge it.
You should never try to charge or turn on a wet electronic device.
You should let it dry for a week or so, then try.
