HT5654 i get this error message when i plug in my ipad to my computer.

The ipad could not be synced because the sync session failed to start.

I would recommend closing all open applications in multitasking, power cycling the device and restarting iTunes.
If an app is unresponsive but the system seems to respond to button presses, you can force the app to close:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app's preview up to close it.

Once you have processed these steps, attempt to sync again.
