That's fine and good until you get to Adobe's site and the "Download Now" button does not even EXIST! THERE IS NO "DOWNLOAD NOW" BUTTON!
I'm running an iMac with 10.6.8 Snow Leopardwith Safari 5.1.8

  • Why is there no "download now" button?

There is no "download now" button on the 11.6.602.180 page for msie 64-bit

Sorry, you were right.  Yesterday, the helpx page came up with "A newer version already installed" at the top of the page.  I figured that was a logical response, since you couldn't find a download button anywhere.
I tried it again after your last post and it came up with "Progress bar hangs during download/Unable to connect to server" at the top, making the direct links visible.  I had previously scrolled through that whole page at least twice, and must have blown right by any mention of direct links.  Amazing -- when you get ticked off enough, you see just what you expect you should see.  I didn't expect to see anything that was going to work.
Thanks for staying with me on it.
P.S.  I wish I had your internet connection -- a 3-5 second download!  It took a full 2 minutes on the glorious HughesNet satellite internet connection.  (We live so far off the beaten track that they won't even point their new Gen4 satellite at us.)

  • Adobe standard XI - got serial number. No "Download Now" button to download the software.

Purchased Adobe Stadard XI from box in store--got my serial number--but there's no "Download Now" button displayed underneath the serial number like the instructions say there will be. How do I download this? I get the same thing for Explorer and Chrome. Thank you!

  • "Download now" button not working for Flash Professional CS5.5 trial

    Hi,
I was going to download the trial version of Flash Professional CS5.5 but when I got to the download page it wasn't downloading. The "Download now" button was there, but it was unclickable, when I clicked on it it didn't work, plus it was a little dimmer than I remember it was when I downloaded another trial. I'm also using the latest version of Google Chrome and I tried downloading it on IE and Firefox.
So, is there any solution to this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Sorry :/

  • No "Download Now" button

I'm trying to download the latest FlashPlayer plugin (version 11.6.602.180) for Firefox. Unfortunately there is no "Download Now" buton on the 'Install Adobe Flash Player' page so I can not start the process. I have tried on 2 different computers, one running 32 bit Windows XP and the other with 64 bit Windows 7 but the page is the same on both. Any ideas about what's going wrong?

    Hi Pat
Thanks for the prompt reply. I have found what was causing my problem. I run the 'Ghostery' plugin in Firefox to block trackers. I also run it in Internet Explorer and was able to download Flashplayer in IE with Ghostery running without any trouble so asumed the plugin wasn't responsible for the problem. However when I paused Ghostery in Firefox the download button returned. I guess it must have been stopping the Java script from running.
    Thanks again for your help,
    Mark

  • I got a message in gmail "this version of Safari is no longer supported.  Pls upgrade to a supported browser."  When I click on 'supported browser' it takes me to Apple's Safari site but there is no 'upgrade now' button.  What am I missing?

i got a message in gmail "this version of Safari is no longer supported.  Pls upgrade to a supported browser."  When I click on 'supported browser' it takes me to Apple's Safari site but there is no 'upgrade now' button.  What am I missing?

Google seem to have decided in the last week or so that Safari 5.x, which is the newest Safari version available for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard) is "not supported" any more, even though there are many reasons for staying with these OS X versions.
Try this (at your own risk, but it works for me), as it seems to remove the message by tricking Gmail into thinking your Safari version is newer:
    -- Quit Safari
-- Locate the following file (location depends on your OS X version):
    OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard:
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/WebKit2.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Info.pl ist
OS X 10.5 Leopard and older:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Info.plist
-- Drag the file to your Mac's desktop to make a copy. Also make a safe copy somewhere else eg your Documents folder, as if you lose or mess up the file Safari will not launch at all. Having a backup browser is also recommended.
-- Double-click it to open it in TextEdit
-- Locate the CFBundleVersion value (the last line in the file that has numbers in it) and increment the second digit of it to the required version of Safari e.g. Safari 6 now seems to be the minimum version that Google support so change the second number from 5 to 6 (don't change anything else, only the change the second number). The value is different depending on your OS X version but as an example, for Snow Leopard 6534.59.10 becomes 6634.59.10
-- Drag the file back from the desktop to its original location, choose the option to replace the old version, and enter your password when prompted.
-- Run a permissions repair in Disk Utility to set the permissions in the file back to what they should be (not required, but good practice).
-- Launch Safari and test Gmail.

    Hi Rebafan2013,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're running into an issue downloading iTunes on your PC. Take a look at the article linked below, it'll walk you through downloading and installing iTunes using Internet Explorer.

    I hope this helps.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • "Download Now" button

Whenever I visit a page which needs the new Flash player, the
    Flash-portion of the page displays
    Adobe's
    Flash website imbedded within.
Here's a picture of how it looks on my system, with Firefox
    1.5.06:
    http://sivar.homelinux.com/images/adobe_download_now.png
    The page says:
    1. Installation of Adobe Flash Player may require
administrative access to your PC, which is normally provided by
your IT department. For the installation to succeed, you may be
asked to close all open browser windows during the installation.
    2.
    Click the Download Now button.
A dialog box will appear asking you where to save the
    Installer.
That's nice... Where the hell is the "Download Now" button?
    Smooth move, guys...

So I go to this page:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
Which DOES have the "Download Now" button, and it takes me...
to the page listed above, which tells me to click on the "Download
    Now" button.
Does Adobe just not want me to download Flash player or
    something?

  • I was getting an app in the store and finished all the logins/confirmations and such, and then this "download now" button comes up that i can't click, and now everytime i open app store this unclickable button is there and i can't get it to go away

    Hi
i was getting an app in the app store and did all the logins and confirmations and stuff, and when that was done a thing pops up in the middle of the screen that said "download now" and an OK button, but i can't click it.. and not anywhere else, so i can't use the app store for anything else until this thing is gone, so anyone know how to fix this?

If you Go to the app store on your phone, then go to updates you should have a purchased icon at the top.
Click on that and it will show the apps you have downloaded before as they are stored on the icloud.
Then you should be able to click on the app and redownload it, not sure if it will charge but its worth a try.
