HT5661 Do I need to do anything with my SIM card before re-selling to a third party? Do I leave it in?
I bought a new iPhone and my service was transferred over to the new iPhone. I want to sell my old iPhone 4. I have followed the instructions for HT5661 but I want to make sure there's nothing I need to do with the SIM card. Can I just leave it in the phone and sell it as is? Is there any PII or private data on the SIM that could be retrieved by someone else?

It's always recommended you remove the sim card and the new buyer get's a sim card from their carrier.

If the receipt says "unlocked" (and not "SIM free") then it will work anywhere in the world that there is a GSM network. However, if it ever needs repair you will have to take it back to France.

BB8830 World EDition - Verizon - Not working with VODAFONE SIM card

I bought BB8830 world edition from US to India. It works fine with Airtel Network. But its not working With Vodafone SIM card.
Option--security option-- Certificates-- Vodafone WLTS(x - red cross mark) is there. It expired on 2008.
Please let me know any one to find out solution for this. whether I need to updated the BB OS or how it works with vodafone SIM..

I'm getting this error when I try to activate my new iPhone 4 through iTunes:

Now I've already been to AT&T and nothing they could do with the account settings would work, in fact they had never seen the issue before. They gave me a new SIM card and that did nothing as well. Finally they tried out a different SIM tray, and that still didn't work. I have a Genius Bar appointment at the Apple Store tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Do you think that the SIM reader inside the iPhone 4 is broken?I solved a problem I had with activating my iPhone although the error message was different from yours.
I got the message "There is something wrong with your iPhone and it cannot be activated, please bring it to your nearest Apple service".
Via a Chinese forum I found out its the SIM card witch is the problem. If the serial number of the SIM has a "letter" in it it won't work. If only numbers it will work.
I now tried it with 2 SIM cards with letters and got the message over and over again. Than tried with my only numbers SIM card and it activated instantly. -
I got factory unlocked iphone5s A1530 model from india with warranty... Now i shifting to regina canada so will this phone work in canada with canadian sim card...with Canadian operators permanently...
Remember though, that although you have warranty on this phone, it is only valid in India and NOT Canada, because you purchased the phone in India and iPhone warranty is country specific, so if you have problems with the phone, then you'll need to take it back to India to get it fixed.
If you will be in Canada for any length of time, then buy a new phone in Canada. It will be guaranteed to work then and you will also have warranty cover. -

Yes, you should be able to use a local SIM card from a carrier in Ontario. You should not have to do anything prior to doing so.

You can tell if the phone is unlocked if you put a new sim card in the phone and it works - if you put a new sim card in the phone and it comes up with 'sim card invalid', then the phone is locked and you'll need to get it unlocked. -

Exactly that, there is a problem with the sim card.
The sim card is the little chip that links your iPad to the cellular providers network to get internet anywhere.
It may have moved in the tray and lost contact, it may have an actual issue, or it may be deactivated by your cellular service provider.
Contact them to have them look at it or your service and see if there is anything wrong with it.
