The installer should have gone into your Apple Software Update folder:
C:\USERS\<user name>\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update
Right mouse click the msi file and select INSTALL

How to install this update and solve USB and touchpad issues?

I have Equium M50 (59E) and got bitten by an update that took out my touchpad and keyboard .I have made fresh install of XP Home and have all updated drivers and all is going well .The last update i cant seem to fathom is for
Driver Ana _2005_10_24_V1.2 it is for ,Standard Open HCD USB Host Controller........X 2 .........
The update fixes all kinds of issues of the kind i am having and is a recomended update from Driver detective ,that i use offten .
The trouble is it says to uninstall drivers for the one i have installed allready and when i do this it knocks off my USB mouse leaving me not able to install the new ones .When i reboot it installs the ones i dont want reinstalled .

I would also recommend checking the installation logs for the updates you are attempting to apply for errors. If your question is how to download it in its entirety first, so that you can update quickly and not have to worry about anything going wrong in the middle of the update, the solution is to download the update file separately, without iTunes, and without having to have your phone tethered to your computer while simply downloading. The download file is an IPSW file; softpedia has a link to it and complete directions for how to install it at http://mac.softpedia.com/get/iPhone-Applications/Tools-Utilities/iPhone-Firmware .shtml. Make sure to click on the correct download link; you don't need to install their downloader or any extraneous software.
Do NOT click on the big download button underneath this--
iPhone and iPod Firmware (iOS) 5.1.1.
Instead, click on the little bitty download button underneath that.
Once you get the file downloaded (the one today is 803 MB, so, depending on your internet connection, it may take a while to download), connect your phone and open up iTunes and shift/click on the Update/Restore button and then browse to tell iTunes where you have saved the IPSW file. I am told that, with Macs, you have to Option/click in iTunes to get to where you can tell it where your downloaded file is located.

I assume as part of reinstalling the software the Adobe Application Manager was installed as well - regardless, it indicates 'updates are available' -- however when I open the updater I am receiving the error message:

(secondary problem: whenever I open Elements or Photoshop and I am asked to log in with my Adobe ID, I get the error message 'Error. Photoshop.com services are currently unavailable. Please try again later or check your network connections. Error 400'. Now I know photoshop.com was replaced with Revel - but why is it consistently giving me the same error message? shouldn't it be updated by now or, specifically, is this indicative of a different problem when I attempt to login with my Adobe ID??)

I don't know why you are getting these errors. Try downloading & installing the updates manually from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html

For PSE 9, the update process was best using a manual method.
