HT5706 fast blinking light on apple tv and will not connect to iTunes

Apple tv's light blinks very fast and tv shows itunes symbol and a connect cable, but it will not do anything. Tried unplugging it, but that was no help and I do not see a a reset button.

Since downloading iOS 8 on my iPad 2 it has stopped working and will not connect to iTunes to do a restore. I have tried to do a reset using the sleep button and home key and all I get is a white band across the screen and then it boots into the main system but it is just a series of white lines going across the screen, how can I do a restore on this?

Hi, I HATE to ask for help with this, but I HAVE looked everywhere and Google searched different wordings and have not found anything similar nor a solution to my problem! My good old iPod 4th-gen charges just fine in any wall outlet, in any house, but when I connect it to my brand new ASUS laptop that has Windows-8 and 3.0 USB ports using the charging/data cable, the charging process just keeps "blinking" BOTH the iPod and the laptop and it will not connect to ITunes and I get "A Device is Detected" message that keeps popping up and going away over and over right above the Windows desktop toolbar. When I go to control panel and select "Devices" it does show the iPod, but for only a split second and than it disappears, but than it comes back again for a split second and than it disappears again and just keeps doing that over and over and over! I have tried resetting the iPod while it is plugged into the laptop by holding the power and menu buttons, that did no good. I also tried uninstalling iTunes and any other Apple stuff listed and reinstalling it all, that did NOT work! The iPod, the laptop and iTunes ARE all fully updated! I AM using a brand new charging/data cable that I just opened up an hour ago (I've learned to keep a few brand new ones around at all times since these piece of garbage rip-off cables hardly last a week, even when you baby them!). I also tried a few old cables, they all do the same thing! I would like to get this piece of junk to connect to my new laptop, even if only once, so that I can change/delete some songs and transfer a few dozen photos,since I haven't been able to do any of that stuff since my old laptop (that NEVER had any problems connecting) died way back in May! lol. I hope somebody knows a fix or solution! Thank You!

my ipod shuffle will not connect to itunes and it is brand new and i have used other ipods on this computer.

When you take this one back, be sure to have your USB docking cable checked, to make sure it is not the thing that is defective.
Also, make sure you have USB cable plug completely inserted into the headphones jack. The fit is sometimes tighter than expected, especially when the shuffle is new. This is apparently enough of an" issue" that Apple has a tech support doc about it

I've had my phone for about 3 months now, and I've already had to have it replaced. I got a new one about 3 weeks ago, and until last night it has worked perfectly fine. 99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, you need to get a sim card from the carrier the phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked.

my ipod is broken as well, my mother threw it at me & it busted. at the top, it says "IPOD DISABLED CONNECT TO ITUNES" the thing is, is that it doesnt connect to anything. when i plug it up to charge, the charging symbol doesnt appear, yet the ipod still charges. hi guys! I'm having a problem with my ipod touch 4g 8gb, i recently put in a new password and forgot it. I tired to figure it out many times but failed, so know the screen says ''Ipod is disabled connect to Itunes''. My computer or itunes (or whatever) will not recognize my ipod! the device charges but the itunes page doesnt pop up as it normally did, i cant sync or even restore anything. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to solve it please please let me know i really need help.

HT1212 How do you unlock iPhone when its disabled and will not connect o iTunes

My iphone is locked. Says iPhone is disabled, connect to iTunes. But when i connect ot iTunes it does not connect. Tells me to put in my password inwhich I cant because it is disabled. This is an iPhone 4 that is not used as a phone but an iTouch for my daughter. No phone capapbilities.

power your phone completely down, plug the cord into the computer but not the iphone. Once the phone is completely powered down hold down the home button while you plug in the phone and continue to hold it down until you see the iTunes icon. that is recovery mode. Restore to manufacture settings. Unless you have a back up all your info will be lost

I disabled my cousins iPhone by pressing random numbers until his iPhone said ; iPhone is disabled connect to iTune ; in red on his front screen. He is in a different province for a month from where he last backed up his iPhone. Put the device in DFU mode and restore.
When he gets back to the computer that he normally syncs with, he can restore from his backup. Everything since that last backup will be lost.
Start apologizing now... keep it up for a few months to several years.
Then hopefully you will learn to leave other peoples stuff alone.

Ipad 2 in recovery mode and will not connect to itunes after trying to install ios5.

tried to update to ios5,finished d/ling and when about to install, syncing-related(don't quite rmb) popup showed up and interrupted the installation,asked to continue or cancel, I cancelled, finished syncing ipad, clicked update again, installing but recieved error 1602, now ipad = recovery mode,BUT wont connect to itunes. help!

EDIT: this is what happend
so I tried using a differnet computer, restoring it to the ios4.3.3, then once my ipad is out of recovery mode, i went back to original computer, connection worked, then i tried to update to ios5 again, success.. but when restoring, got stuck at "preparing ipad for restore" for 10 min, then got error 1602, then back to the same problem, ipad is in recovery mode, and wont get detected by computer. HELP
