HT5760 When I go to my "mail" I get a box that says "Cannot get mail, check settings....." while at the same time, my mail is delivered behind the box.
The question is......how do I get rid of the box? The e-mail comes in fine!
Have you tried a reset?
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

I have been emailing pictures from my ipad to my computer and have been going along nicely and now when I went to send 5 pictures to my computer from my ipad I am getting a message that says " cannot send mail The message was rejected by the server" cannot understand why this is happening and have not been able to fix. My iPad works perfectly except when trying to update apps. Then I get a message that says "Cannot connect to the iTunes store."
Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.
If that doesn't solve it then what has worked for some people is going into Settings > General > Date & Time and change the date to a few months in the future and then re-trying -
How do I view multiple inbox folders at the same time in Mail?
I want to configure Mail to show me multiple inbox folders at the same time. I want to be able to split the screen and show in the top section unread messages, then messages I've marked with label A, then messsges I've marked with label B, then everything else in my inbox (like using the multiple inbox feature in Gmail). Is this possible?
Just figured it out - I can select multiple messages as you suggested when I am not in full screen mode.
So once I come out of full screen mode - then the multiple windows open.

When I plug in my older version of the classic I pod a message pops up that reads "The iPod cannot be synced. The disk could not be read from or writtent to."
I've tried restarting the iPod, upgrading iTunes, restarting iTunes and restarting the computer but it hasn't worked.

Thanks!I have the same issue with my older version 40GB iPod. I mainly use my iPhone for music on the go and rarely sync this iPod. I decided to add music to it the other day and received the same message. I tried all of the usual steps but nothing has worked. I finally restored it to factory settings, have nothing on it and it still will not let me write to it. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I ran the latest Numbers update and now I cannot open several of the Numbers files I created and saved previously. When I try, a box appears that says I need to update to a newer version of Numbers. I ALREADY updated to the newest version!!!! Any suggestions?

When you upgraded Numbers to the most recent version, the Mac App Store kept the old version in case you need it in the future. Your problem is that you are opening the old version by mistake instead of the new one.
To fix this, open a Finder window, select Applications in the sidebar and drag the new Numbers version (the one with the new icon) to the Dock. By doing this, you can access to the new Numbers version easily, so you will not open the old version by mistake anymore. Also, I recommend you to open the documents after opening Numbers. The same applies for all other iWork applications.

Never had this problem before so not sure whats going on. Appreciate any help out there.Sounds like there is something wrong with your SMTP server. Try going into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>select the email account in question, go to the Outgoing server (SMTP) and check the settings. It may be you do not have a username and password in one of the areas. The phone may say optional in a couple, but it is usually mandatory. You can also try a reset on the device, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If neither of these work, then you will need to delete the account, then delete the SMTP server, then add the account back, ensuring you use your username and password everywhere, even when it says optional.

I updated my iMac to lion and set up iCloud and icloud email so I could use pages app on my 4s as well as my Mac to work on documents.I was only able to log into my new iCloud mail account once. And never again. Even with security questions. Purchased pages for Mac and 4s. After I set up I cloud/ work everything went crazy. My apple Id quit working. My security questions would not accept my answers. So I set up a new apple account. The system allowed me to set it up using the same i.d.since then I have updated everything. The systems on a 4s, two 3gs's and an iPod touch I can browse the app store and iTunes but when I try to download or update anything it accepts my password and then says " Cannot connect to store" this happens all the time on the 3gs's and iPod and about 90 percent of the time on the 4s. It happens using wifi and or 3G data network. Also my Mac and the 3gs's are now super sluggish.

When you double tap the home button, you should see a screen that looks like this. You see all of the apps that you have recently used going across the screen. You can swipe from screen to screen to get to each and every app. In order to close an app, you drag the app preview window up "off" of the top of the screen. Don't swipe up on the app icon, swipe up on the thumbnail preview window. You will see the window fly iPad off of the screen. That's how you close an app.
Find the Mail app by swiping from screen to screen - if it's not already visible - and swipe up to close it. This has nothing to do with the control center at all, so don't swipe up to get to it.
