HT5804 .Wav files into instruments (piano board)?

So I have a ton of .wav files with all different drum sounds. Im sick of adding them to the track and not being able to set them as notes. Is there a way to put some of my .wav files into an instrument in my library where I can use the piano and set notes and be able to make them bigger and such? Thanks

Use the EXS24 Software instrument...
http://help.apple.com/logicpro/mac/9.1.6/en/logicpro/instruments/#chapter=12%26s ection=0
The above related to LP9 but the EXS24 hasnt changed much between LP9 and LPX....
Make sure you turn on all the advanced options in Logic Pro X's Preferences first (Under the Advanced tab) so you can use all the editing features of the EXS24...

  • Mixing external wave file into video

    I've recorded a video including sound of a mandolin being played.  At the same time I recorded the sound with my external recorder which resulted in a wave file of better quality that the sound from the camera.  I would like to import the video and the externally recorded wave file into a project, line up the external wave file with the sound recorded by the video camera and then delete the sound recorded with the video camera so I end up with a video that has the sound from the external recording system.  Any recommendations on a good approach to accomplishing this task?

    There's information here about how to use the new merged clips features in Premiere Pro CS5.5 to merge the audio from an external source with the video from the camera.

  • "Input contract violation" error message when trying to import a .wav file into AE?

    I am trying to import a .wav file into AE and keep getting an "input contract violation" message from the program followed by it shutting down. If it means anything, I bought the song online, but it has been paid for and I downloaded the .wav file after my purchase. Any idea of why this may be happening? Are there any particular settings which may be mandatory on the project timeline to import a 3min song? Thank you!

    YOu have not provided any system info, not told us what version of AE you use, your audio setting, what specifics in the audio file and a million other things. See how it may not be possible for anyone to tell you anything beyond "Your computter sucks!" ???

  • Storing  WAVE file into database from sql plus.

    dear all
    I have create a table with two attributes,sl_no number and song long raw type.
    what will be the insert command to insert a .wav file into the database.if not then you can give me some alternate solution also.
    thanks.

    You can use DBMS_LOB.LoadFromFile, I assume you would load these as a BLOB.
    The documentation can be found on technet at
    urlhttp://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle9i/doc_library/901_doc/appdev.901/a89852/dbms_20b.htm#1009007
    [\url]
    An alternative would be to use java to read the file from the file system, and serve it up as a CLOB or BLOB, and INSERT it into the database from there.

  • Urgent How to convert wav files into mp3?

    Can anyone plz tell me how can i convert wav file into mp3 using JMF? tell me any sample programme, any method in JMF........ help me plz

    Examples could be found on the JMF Solutions page.
    Only I can say about mp3 through network - it's hardly possible. I recommend GSM for compression2transmit. It could be used via GSM content descriptor. I'm not sure, but I suppose MP3 is supported only for files, there's no MP3.RTP or such (if you want to transmit files, it should not cause any problems).
    About JavaSound - it does not matter... You still need JMF to be installed on Client, and AppletCapture to be enabled. Futrher - would it be DirectSound, JavaSound, or anything else - just the deal of JMF.
    I tried to use JavaSound capture with proceeding AudioInputStream to JMF, but failed to do this.
    About your problem - best solution seems like that:
    capture sound
    put it into processor
    set format to GSM
    transmit
    so then, server receives it and formats it as it likes.
    If you want to transmit exactly files, you should use just some of pure java after capturing. java.net, or such thing.

  • I cannot import 5.1 WAV files into iTunes

    Hello
    I'm running iTunes 11.1.5 (5) 64 bit on OSX 10.9.2. I'm trying to import some wav files into iTunes, they are about 6-11 minutes long each, they have 5.1 (6 total) channels, 16 bit depth and are sampled at 48,000 kHz. I can run them in QuickTime Player 10.3 (727.3) without any problems, but iTunes will not run them. This stil happens if I try to import the same files when they are in Apple Lossless format as well. I have several other surround sound files sourced from other stuff and they wil not import either, but they still run in Quicktime Player just fine. I don't have any pluging installed for iTunes or QuickTime Player. Does iTunes just not support surround sound audio, or is there something wrong with the files that I'm trying to import?

    Hi Michael,
    I bounced a PCM 5.1 WAV Audio File from Logic Pro X, This File alredy plays 5.1 surround from desktop just with the space bar preview and also with QuickTime ok? But Itunes 11 doesn´t import PCM 5.1 (multi) Wav audio files as you know, so I Knew that in the Itunes 11 for the movies tracks the 5.1 surround audio is automatic.See this link below
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4072 -
    What I did?
    I just imported my audio file to Apple COMPRRESSOR, and choose the H.264 output format and I changed from .MOV to .MP4 (This one Itunes import with multi audio 5.1)
    and also select 48 Khz and 720 Kbps. After encoding my audio file from ( 226 Mb) PCM 5.1 Wav about 4.20'  went to a AAC 6 channes 48 Khz / 720 Kbps  .MP4 file with 24 Mb size. Itunes import withou problem and played 5.1 surround as I wish.
    I hope you understood my explanation,
    Regards
    Paulo

  • Logic Won't Let Me 'Drop' .Wav Files Into A Session??

    Hi all,
    Trying to simply drag and drop .wav files from a folder on an external hard drive into an empty Logic Pro 9 session.  The audio tracks are stereo (have also tried mono) and the input/outputs seem to be fine.  The session is also saved to the external.  I am not using an external audio interface.
    I have also tried importing using the 'File-->import' commands and this allows me to import one file at a time, but not in bulk.  This seems odd as I could've sworn I didn't have this problem in past attempts.
    Let me know your thoughts please!
    Ps. Logic rules, but I'm very tempted to get acquainted with Pro Tools!

    GTBannah wrote:
    Are you sure they are audio tracks, and not MIDI or Instrument tracks?
    Ha ha... Yes I am sure.  A good thought, though I did double checked this before posting the problem.
    Could it be something to do with the sample rate?  Ie. the audio files were recorded at a certain sample rate and now I need to make it match with the sample rate in Logic?

  • How to Load a wav file into a JFrame

    Ok, I have a JFrame with a JPanel and JButtons, play, pause, stop....etc...I have a menu with items load song and exit. Now when you click file load song, it pops up a JFileChooser.....that all works fine. Now I want to be able to select a wav file from that file chooser and have it load into the JFrame, displaying the name of the song in the JPanel...as a JLabel or whatever. Also how can I make the buttons, play pause stop, etc. work with the song. I.E. when i press play, the song plays, stop the song stops...any ideas?

    Create a JLabel with the filename as its text. Add the JLabel onto your JPanel. Add the JPanel
    onto the JFrame. Call setVisible(true) on the JFrame. For Java GUI basics, study:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/index.html
    For wav file playing:
    String filename = "foo.wav";
    java.applet.AudioClip clip
    = java.applet.Applet.newAudioClip(new File(filename).toURI().toURL());
    clip.play();

  • How to play a wave file through the DAQ board?

    Hi there,
    we want to play a wave file that is saved on the harddrive via the DAQ board. Means we want to connect a amp to the analog output of the DAQ to amplify the sound and play it through a speaker.
    We couldn't find any VI that does that. Can anybody tell us how to play a wave file, or perhaps even send us a VI that can do that?
    Thanks a lot for your help
    Martin - Physical Optics Corporation

    Hi Martin,
    The only example that I could find on how to do this was using our
    older Traditional DAQ drivers version 6.9.3.  If you're using Traditional
    DAQ drivers, the vi can be found here.
    The example reads a 8-bit mono .wav file (an example .wav file is included in the .zip file) and writes it to the analog out of your DAQ card.  I've updated the
    example to work with our newer DAQmx drivers and attached it here.
    I hope this helps,
    Paul C.

  • Play WAV files into the .jar

    Hello,
    I'm doing small application Java with Netbeans.
    I need is to play .wav file sounds are incorporated into the jar.
    I do not want to use external libraries or external sound files, etc.. I want to go with my .JAR to the office, home, etc ... just need the JAR to hear the sounds.
    I've created a folder "Sounds" in "src" and in that place I have my sounds. (Project / src / sounds). It's a way to incorporate a JAR file, or am I wrong?? Run independently of the sound files.
    At the time of reproducing the sound I do the following:
    Clip sonido = AudioSystem.getClip();
    File f = new File(getClass().getResource(/Sonidos/alarma.wav).toURI());
    sonido.open(AudioSystem.getAudioInputStream(f));
    sonido.start();
    If I run the program with netbeans, I play sounds, but which only transfer my .JAR to another computer, does not play ...
    Any ideas?
    Thank's.

    I don't understand, before I had done as you have written me, but did not work, but now it works.
    Problem solved. Thank's.
    Posting the code here:
    InputStream path = getClass().getResourceAsStream("/Sonidos/alarma.wav");
    try
    sonido = AudioSystem.getClip();
    sonido.open(AudioSystem.getAudioInputStream(path));
    sonido.start();
    }catch(Exception fail)
    System.out.println(fail);

  • How to import wav. files into garage band?

    I've downloaded some samples for making electric music and they're all wav. files, but I don't know how I can import them into garageband "library" (probably where all the apple's loops are) can somebody please help me???

    Which version of GarageBand are you using?
    If you want to add samples to the Loop Library, you have to add the sample to a track, and then add it to the loop library. It will depend on your GarageBand version, how to do it:
    In GarageBand 10:  see http://help.apple.com/garageband/mac/10.0/#gbndd0009b98
    In GarageBand '11 see: http://help.apple.com/garageband/index.html#gbnda12ebb99

  • How to import large library of .wav files into itunes with tags?

    I have an external NAS drive where I imported approximately 400 CDs in .wav format utilizing itunes many years ago. My itunes library was recently corrupted requiring a reinstall of itunes. The .wav files are preserved and are filed by Artist folders containing Album subfolders which contain the tracks listed by number and name. The problem is when I reimport the files into itunes the artist and album name is lost leaving only the track name, which makes it impossible to organize a library of music.
    I would like to batch process and import the .wav files on my NAS drive into itunes in either a high-quality mp3 or AAC format with the songs tagged correctly to allow for an organized and searchable library. I would rather not have to reburn all of the CDs since that required substantial time and effort.
    I welcome any solution to this problem.

    itunes can't do what you want. It will do exactly what you said, lose everything, because wav files don't have ID3 tags. And, I suspect it dumps it all into an "Unknown Album" subfolder under "Unknown Artist".
    You can try the tagFromFileName script on this page, brought to you by an apple discussion forum regular turingtest2. I have not used it myself, but have seen posts from several people happy with the results!

  • Importing wav. files into itunes on MAC OSX

    I have a question, hope someone has the answer.
    I am a new mac owner, new ipod owner too.
    I currently have 200-300 gigabytes of SHN and FLAC files on my PC (mostly grateful dead soundboard recordings).
    I am planning on converting these files to WAV. format with "artist", "album" (show date), and "song" ID tags.
    I then plan on copying these WAV. files to my imac or separate external hard drive formatted for MAC OSX.
    OK THE QUESTION (finally, no?),
    When WAV. files are imported into itunes are they automatically converted to the MP4 AAC format?
    I have looked in the itune PREFERENCES menu I go to ADVANCED and see that there is a control for switching file formats for importing CD'S but there is no mention of importing WAV. files.
    On another note it is too bad that Apple has not come up with a file conversion utility for itunes, where FLAC, SHN, and WAV. files could be converted to MP4AAC, Apple Losless, etc...
    I appreciate any answers to my question, and also comments regarding the general subject of audio file conversion on the MAC OSX.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Firstly, I must point out that WAV doesn't support tagging, so there is no point in converting your compressed FLAC and SHN files to WAV before making the move over to a Mac.
    Rather, it would make more sense to use the free and excellent Max to convert all these files automatically to the format of your choice, such as Apple Lossless. You can even run multiple conversions simultaneously, so you could, say, convert your whole lot of files to Apple Lossless while at the same time convert the same lot to AAC for use on your iPod. The program is highly configurable, allowing you to specify destination directories and whether or not the output files are added directly to your iTunes library. Also, the tagging will be preserved when converting FLAC and SHN files to supported formats.
