FF hangs entire PC apparently loading Flash content. I have 3.6.6 and latest Flash. Computer is totally locked for 45 seconds.Is this really the intent?

I have FF 3.6.6 and Flash 10.1. When I enter a site the entire computer hangs. The mouse operates but I cannot go to another site, leave the browser or even bring up the Task Manager. The entire PC is hung. This lasts 45 seconds of course and then everything is fine. Is this how the plugin containment code is really supposed to work?

Make sure that you allow the plugin-container process access to internet.
You can set the prefs dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.* to false on the about:config page to disable the plugin-container process to see if that helps.

How did you create the account ? Unless you followed the instructions on the page that you post from exactly then you won't get the 'none' option and you will need to enter payment details - those instructions won't work on existing accounts.
I tried those instructions a week ago in response to another thread and I got the 'none' option on it e.g. on my computer's iTunes I logged out of my existing account, found a free app in the store, clicked on its 'free' price, clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup, and after agreeing to the terms and filling in my details I was able to select 'none' as my payment option and download a free app with it.

After calling AT&T tech support one more time, and explaining to them that the glitch was on their network, they admitted that the problem was at their tower...
I continued to use the phone on EDGE mode for two more days until the problem was fixed.
I even got a call back from a tech support guy asking me if my phone was working properly....
I wish they would have admitted to the problem before I sat at the apple store for 2 hours.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. What this effectively does is to reset some of your Settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. You don't get another chance once it has been permanently disabled. You have to restore it now. If you backup with iCloud, you can restore from that backup and recover everything. If you don't backup with iCloud, you are starting all over again.
If you don't have a computer, you can restore with another computer running iTunes.

That is the correct behaviour, since your Mac probably came with the now free versions of iWork and iLife, but as your iPad is from 2011, it did not come with such free versions.
You sadly have to purchase the iLife and iWork products via the iOS App Store if you want to use them on your iPad 2.

Connect your iPad to your computer and run iTunes. Select your iPad in iTunes and try to run the update there. Updating requires a lot less free space on the iPad when updating through iTunes on a computer because the update files will be downloaded to and extracted on the computer.

Try some basic troubleshooting:
(A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
(B) Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
(C) Setup as new (data will be lost if you do not have backup)
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

Oh, wait -- also, you took about uploading CDs. I don't think *those* would automatically go to your other devices *until* you subscribe to iMatch or whatever that's called. You have to pay an extra $25 a year to get all your uploaded stuff in the cloud and therefore on your other devices. Anything you *purchase* from iTunes on one device would automatically be sent to the other devices.
I did the Match thing, and it took a while at first to upload all the non-iTunes stuff, but then it worked. The whole thing is still new and has some kinks to work out.
