Welcome to the Apple community.
Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

itunes will only sync with an ios device.
On the other hand, if you have a usb cord for your mp3 player, and you know what FOLDER your itunes music is located in (and for me its located at C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media )
you can just select that folder and copy it to your mp3 player.
typically when you first plug in something like an mp3 player you get a windows alert asking if you want to view the contents of the device- say yes. copy your itunes folder to the music folder on your mp3 player.

No one here can help you, nor can/will Apple. Unless you can get that info, you won't be able to restore the phone, to sell it, or re-activate it.
You need to somehow get back in touch with your girlfriend & obtain this info, or all you'll own is a paperweight.

Right-click the track in your library, Get Info, go to the Info tab, and type in the correct information. When you are done, click "OK."

Which mp3 player? iTunes will only sync with Apple devices.

Activation issues are almost always the result of a device that has been hacked or jailbroken. If that is the case, no support can be provided here.
The other possible issue is a device running the iOS7 Beta. If that is the case, and you are a developer, sign into the developers forums for assistance. If that is the case and you are not a developer, try google.

On the iPod fo to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign in and view your ID and verify the payment method is OK. Then try again.

Probably only way is to call Applecare in your country and they may tell you who holds the lock. IIRC you IMEI and serial # are required

Plug it into iTunes like it shows. It should tell you it has found a phone in recovery mode. You will need to restore the phone.

Only the previous owner can unlock your phone, either by providing you with the code or by removing it from his liste of devices. I'm afraid that if you cannot contact him your phone is useless.

I bought Iphone 3G 6 weeks ago , noticed that battery was low so recharged phone and now it will not turn on. I was told to hold top button and front button down together and hold but still nothing??????

I cloud only has the contacts that weren't associated with Facebook (I had synced my contacts with Facebook prior to restarting my phone. Are the contacts on your phone to be the same as the contacts in your computer? if yes do following:
In iTunes/Preferences/Devices check the "Prevent iPods.... from syncing automatically".
Connect your iPhone to iTunes by cable or set sync by WiFi on the Summary page.
Then on the Info Page scroll down and check "contacts" under the "Advanced" heading.
Then click "sync" in the right bottom of the page.

I got a new PC...how do I add the new PC to my existing user ID?

Hi, I have several users/PC's on our Small Business Server 2011 Essentials. I have a couple of users that we bought new PC's for and I'm wondering how to connect the new PC's to the server using the existing user info without messing anything up. As
an example -
I am user ID - jcook and current have an older ASUS laptop. I purchased a newer HP laptop and I want to connect the new HP laptop to the server and use my existing jcook user ID.
Can I just connect the new laptop to the server using the same method I would if I were adding a new user or do I need to do some special steps/tasks to do this? If I do need special steps can you please let me know in detail what they are.

That's fine, you just need to join the new machines to the SBS domain using your domain admin credentials, then once the new machines are joined to the domain you'll be able to login to them using your existing details.
The login details for your accounts are stored on the server, and are independent of the machines you use to login to the network, so you should be able to login to any machine that's on the domain (though you'll likely find the first time you connect it
takes a little longer as Windows first has to create your profile on the local machine).

After sharing computer with my partner, he backed up his phone and now our address books have been merged. Is there an easy way to separate them? The cloud automatically adds new contacts to both our phones etc.

A while back, My partner asked if he could back up his phone on my macbook. Ever since our address books have been merged. there are so many duplicates it's madness as if we both have a friend by the same name perhaps with no surname it's easy to call the wrong one.
Is there a way to identify the root of each contact so we can separate them.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo
