HT5826 My notes and markings will not sync on my iphone, only on mini and ipod

I download books and magazines from A website and study using underlining, notes, and highlighting. These markings will sync between my ipod and mini ipad, but will not sync with my 5s phone. Ive been to one on ones and genius as well as icloud phone appt. apple says the problem is with the website, but if so, why would two devices be able to sync and the other not?
All my devices run IOS7.1 the same operating system, they all have sync bookmarks and collections turned on, they all have the same ibooks 3.2 (2083)
My phone carrier Verizon says they dont deal with ibooks.
I'm just about worn out with this one.

On the iPhone, in Settings try de-selecting the sync and then adding it back. You might want to put it in the airplane mode for a couple of minutes to make sure the sync is broken.

It sounds like you are wanting to update the Apps that were synced over from your computer to your new iPhone 5s. If you are clicking Updates in the App Store in the bottom right corner, would you mind clarifying what happens when you are trying to update them?

If I go from 'Devices' to Summary and then Music, I only get one option-Sync Music,There is a box on this page but the options within it are grayed out. If I tick the Sync Music option I get this message-
'Are you sure you want to remove existing music,films,ect, from this ipod and sync with this itunes library?
'Music synced to (my ipods name) from other itunes libraries will be removed and items will be synced from this itunes library' I have only ever used itunes on this PC and the 'Manually manage music and videos' is ticked but

Just received by I Pad and it will not connect to ITunes or sync with my computer and it wasn't recognized by my MAc.

I just received my IPad and it will not sync with ITunes and my Mac doesn't recognize it any form. The screen is black with the exception of the annoying ITunes/USB cable graphic on the screen which appears momentarily and then disappears. Any ideas?

Things you can try first off,
is make sure you plug in your USB at the back of the mac, rather than for example keyboard.
Check out another usb cable.
Hold down sleep/wake and home button at the same time to reset iPad.
Make sure you have the latest iTunes installed or you may have to reinstall iTunes.
None of these work then I suggest you to take it to an Apple retail store for the genius guy to check it out.

About the only other way I can think of is to have a computer with you or use one there, if you can put iTunes on it and download all your new stuff to the computer, then sync your iPad to that computer.
In switching computers you will lose previous content, but, as I understand it anyway, downloaded content will be the same as long as the same apple ID is used.

Sounds like the Outlook plugin isn't working properly. You could try a couple of things:
Go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, uninstall iCloud, the download and install the iCloud contol panel for Windows again from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455. Then sign back into your iCloud account and check your syncing settings again.
Uninstall iTunes and all of its components as by following this guide exactly: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7, then reinstall iTunes. You must follow this guide exactly or it will not be successful. (Uninstalling iTunes will only remove the application; it will not touch your iTunes library or data.) This will replace the Outlook plugin.
Then try your calendar again and see if it will sync properly now.

Why did my mail account suddenly erase all emails and now will not sync with my quickbooks?

I have quickbooks for Mac and it syncs to my mail account with my laptop everytime I email an invoice or an estimate. The other day I went to send an estimate and it will not allow me to send, receive or see any of my previous emails. Anybody have a solution? Also does anyone else think it is ridiculous that Apple does not provide any tech support unless you pay? I just bought my Mac Book one year ago and have already had to replace my charger ($95) and now they are telling me they can't help me unless I pay $50....Um I find that crazy excessive considering I paid $2400.00 for my computer......

I had the same issue. I closed iTunes, restarted the computer and then tried again. This time it would sync. Another thing I tried was switching USB ports I was connecting through.

And for this I guess that it is the backing up of my Podcasts - which are free downloads that causes the hang up. These are items that I have played and synced before without issues. I am thinking this way because these are Podcasts that I used to play but sundenly would not play on my iPhone. Each time I try to play anyone of them it generates the message - this movie could not be played.
I am scared of atempting a system restore because I guess I may lose my SMS for the past two months. Please approach the solution from this point of view.

I just got a Touch 32GB yesterday and ran into the same problem. I have two PCs in the house that I can sync my iPods on, but I normally use one that DOESN'T have an internet connection, so that the one that does is free for others to use ... a great argument and tension solution, btw.
Anyway, I hooked up the older "iTunes" PC to the net for a first-time sync with the Touch, and ran into this problem. First it kept detecting the Touch as an unidentified iPhone, then I couldn't sync my classic either. Then I found a post here about how when multiple USB ports running off same USB controller seem to screw with the Touch/iPhone syncing.
So I disconnected all but 2 of my USB 2.0 slots (the Touch & the Portable HD with my iTunes Library) and now it's working perfectly. I don't know if this will solve your problem, but it might be worth a try.

Mail, contacts and calendars will not sync cuz some stuff quited...

Hey all! I posted this question in the iTunes section, but did not get any response, so I shall ask it here and see if I get a response. Whenever I sync my iPhone, stuff like MDCrashReporterTool and AppleMobileSync will "quit unexpectedly". Thus, my calendars, mail and contacts will not sync. I've tried stuff from downloading the Mac OS X 10.5.6 combo updater and installed it to reinstalling iTunes 8.0.2, but to no avail. Does anybody here have an answer or require more information? TIA!

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select your MobileMe account.
Turn Calendars off for over the air syncing.
A warning message will be provided indicating this will delete all calendars and calendar events from your iPhone. You should also be provided a prompt to save the data locally on your iPhone. If so, save this data locally.
Follow this by turning Calendars back on for over the air syncing. You should be provided a merge prompt which you want to select.
Test if this resolves it.

The first two generations of iPod (that used a standard 6-pin Firewire cable) don't work with Windows. There was a workaound through MusicMatch for the second-gen, but I have no idea if that software is still available, or even if it will install on a modern copmputer (Windows ME, 2000 and XP era).
If instead of original, you mean the first model that got labelled as "classic," with a dock connector, if you describe exactly what appears on both the iPod and the PC screen when you plug it in, somebody might be able to help you. My first recommendations would be to (1)try a different USB cable, to see if that's the problem, and then (2) try synching with a different computer, to see if your PC is the problem. If neither of those result in success, then the community here can help you to try troubleshooting the iPod itself.
