  • How do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

I have three device: Macbook Pro (OSX 10.7.5) for work; an iPad and a Blackberry for mobile. I used mail, iCal, and Address Book combine with mobileme (iCloud) to exchange data such as contact, calendar and task from my Mackbook Pro to my iPad but never to Blackberry. The problem is my boss was asking me to change to Outlook 2011 for Mac because some of the email that I sent from Mail did not appear in my client's Blackberry. So how do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to Outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

Yes, it was deprecated when Lion was released.
That is Software-speak for, "we don't plan on supporting this much longer. You need to find another solution."
They supported it through Lion and Mountain Lion, but have stopped supporting it with Mavericks.

  • Sync Services for iCal

    Hello all,
I want to make Sync Services for iCal.Currently i want to read the changes in iCal using Sync Service.please give an idea about this...

I have found the problem and fixed it. I wanted to post the solution so that others might benefit...
After reading through the developer docs for Sync Services, I isolated the files in /[my home]/Library/SyncServices/Local/ as being suspect. Moving these to my desktop and starting up iCal worked.
As it turns out, there are a lot of little gotchas surrounding the magic that is Sync Services. This is just one of many!

  • Syncing iPhone 4 with Outlook 2011, Lion OS X

I have within the last two weeks switched from Windows 7 to a MacBook Pro, Lion OS X.  I have the latest updates of Outlook 2011 as well as Lion.  Under Windows, my iPhone sync'ed my contacts with Outlook 2007 perfectly, including my folders (I only sync contacts).  The move to Lion has not been a smooth one in this regard.
Before I installed Outlook, I had my iPhone sync with iTunes, and it appeared my contacts showed up on Address Book, groups/folders included.  It was probably a couple of days before I installed Office/Outlook.  When I put Outlook on I set up Sync Services, as I read up that Outlook syncs with Address Book, which syncs with my iPhone, and initially that appeared to work as planned.  It is no longer sync'ing.
Another issue.  All of my groups in my Address Book are gone, and I have several blank vCards.  My normal contact count is around 1,500.  I have about 4,000 blank vCards.  Also, looking at iTunes there are no longer any groups to sync with.  In the past, even though I sync all my contacts, you could see the groups below in the Select Groups panel.
My main issue is getting everything to sync again, groups/folders included.

Update, it looks to be sync'ing, just not with my folders.  So I deleted the 4,000 blank vCards.
There is another twist to this that I had not mentioned.  My folders were erased on my iPhone thanks to a Google/Gmail contacts sync.  However, my folders are still very much intact on Outlook.  In fact, that's how I noticed it was actually sync'ing.  I added four new contacts yesterday to my iPhone, and all four showed up in the folder I set up for "Outlook folder to add new items to:" via Sync Services.
So it syncs with THAT folder.  : )
So how do I get it to sync my folders from Outlook to my iPhone?
I'm thinking of exporting from Outlook to Address Book.  If I export that would give me a back up copy.  Delete contacts in Address Book (if that's simple to do), then importing from the Outlook file...sync.  Maybe?

  • Syncing contact photos between Outlook 2011 for Mac and the rest

Hello, I installed Office for Mac 2011 and when it synced the contacts (through Exchange), most of the contact photos now no longer show in OWA or in Outlook 2013 from my Windows PC's. They are not lost: In Outlook 2013 (for windows) they appear instead
under "Notes", in the form of a thumbnail jpeg. On my Mac, however, the photos show up correctly. None of my windows accounts (e.g., windows phone) now show any photos any longer. I tried some troubleshooting: I deleted all my contacts from everything,
and imported them back to Outlook for Mac and synced them, but the photos still show only under "notes" in the Windows accounts.
How can I solve the issue? I see the same problem reported by other people, but I am not aware of a resolution.

  • How do I sync iPhone contacts into Outlook 2011 for Mac

Here is the quick situation. I have an iPhone 5s and all of my contacts from my previous company (personal and professional) are on there. My old exchange profile is also there and I am afraid if I delete the profile, I will lose all my contacts.  My new company added thier exchange mail but none of my contacts are showing up in Outlook. I followed all the instructions to try and synch the contacts using iTunes but none of the contacts actually show up in iTunes to synch. I even turned off "contacts" in the iCloud settings. Help.

Oh, does it always do that ... on both the iPhone and the Mac?  I thought there might be some dependency on what account previously housed the contacts.  For example, if the contacts had previously been in an Outlook account, and you turned on iCloud, would that fact migrate the contacts?  I've never tried.

  • Sync cable for BlackBerry Flip 8230

I recently bought a Blackberry Flip 8230 to replace my (lost) Blackberry 8130.  I tried to synch it tonight with the old cord for my other Blackberry but it did not fit.  I can't remember if a synch cord comes with the phone or is it something I have to purchase separately??
A second related question - is there any way to actually see and edit my addressees (on Outlook or Excel or Word or some other program) on my computer?  If I get another type of phone (like an Iphone) is there anyway to transfer the information on my Blackberry to a usable form on my computer so I could transfer it to my Iphone?
Please let me know if you have any information on either/both of these questions.
    Thanks!!

There should have been a USB cable with it and Desktop Manager on a CD to sync with outlook.

  • Slow attachment upload with Exchange Web Services (Outlook 2011 for Mac?)

We're experiencing slow attachment upload with Exchange Web Services versus MAPI, OWA, and Outlook Anywhere.  I'm not totally certain that it is Exchange Web Services or specifically Outlook 2011 for Mac.  I attempted to test with the Mac Mail
App, but it makes it difficult to tell when the attachment has been uploaded and the file has been sent.  Here's what we're seeing (10mb file):
    MAPI / RPC/HTTPS / OWA: 10-15 seconds upload time
Exchange Web Services (Outlook 2011 for Mac): 60-90 seconds upload time
Thoughts? Any idea why we would see such a drastic difference in attachment upload time?  Any way to prove definitively that it is Exchange Web Services vs. Outlook 2011 for Mac?  We've tried it from multiple locations with multiple different machines,
and although the upload times vary (some locations have more bandwidth etc) the ratios remain similar.

    Hi ,
Does all the user occurred the issue ?
If only special user, I recommend you do the following steps and test:
1.Remove and re-add the email account and check if this helps to resolve the issue.
To remove and add the email accounts:
Open Outlook > GO to Tools > Accounts > Click on "Minus" symbol to remove and "Plus" to add an Email account.
    2.Creating a new user profile:

  • Sync services in Outlook for mac

sync services in my Outlook for mac does not work
to synchronize with address book or ical. any solution please.

Notes on your iOS device can be sync'ed with your Mac through the builtin MAIL app within OSx10.5 Leopard /10.6 Snown Leopard and 10.7 Lion or with the new Notes App in Osx10.8 Mountain Lion.
Once on the Mac you can copy and paste into Outlooks notes/stickies, MS Word or similar.

  • Outlook 2011 on macbook pro

After months of working fine, my outgoing mail is not working on my macbook.  I use outlook 2011 and have it configured using an me account.  I can't get the "me" to give me a green status.  I have changed the password to the strongest, outgoing is 587.  I have tried everything on all the forums. Ideas?

First of all, hi!.,.how are you?.,.
Here’s a few troubleshooting tips you can follow in the event this happens to you.
    Troubleshooting Sync Services for Mac:
Important: Be sure to back up your Address Book and Outlook Contacts before testing any of these Troubleshooting steps.
    Turn on iSync
    1. Launch iSync, located in the Applications > Utilities folder
    2. Open preferences window in iSync Application Menu
    3. Check “Enable syncing on this computer”. Sometimes this option seems to be disabled or you can’t check or uncheck this option after starting iSync. In this case, wait for iSync to complete the sync process and then the option will be available again.
    4. Reset Sync History. Important: If you are using the new MobileMe Calendar, resetting sync data is not an appropriate troubleshooting step to solve calendar sync issues. Instead, please see Troubleshooting new MobileMe Calendar issues. If you’re not sure how to tell if you’re using the old or new MobileMe Calendar.
    Delete Plist Files
    1. Force quit all applications currently running.
    2. Go > Home > Library > Preferences
    3. Search for all files containing “com.microsoft.outlook.XXXXX.plist” drag these files to the Trash
    4. Search for the file “com.microsoft.SyncServicesAgent.plist” and drag this file to the Trash
    5. Start Outlook
    6. Tools > Sync Services and confirm that “Turn on Sync Services for Contacts” is checked on
Close and Re-Start Sync Services Agent
    1. Force Quit Outlook
    2. Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor
    3. Look for the Sync Services Agent under Process Name
    4. Highlight this process and click Quit in the upper left
    5. Close Activity Monitor
    6. Re-Start Outlook
This is also true if you are using Scrubly to clean up your Address Book contacts. You will need to turn on Sync Services inside Outlook to sync your newly cleaned up contacts from Address Book to Outlook Contacts.
I hope this information had helped you =)

    Correlated, non-scalar subquery:
    REPORT demo_select_subquery_1.
DATA: name_tab TYPE TABLE OF scarr-carrname,
          name  LIKE LINE OF name_tab.
    SELECT  carrname

                        WHERE carrid = carr_id AND
                              connid = conn_id      ).
    WRITE: city, lati, longi.
This example reads the latitude and longitude of the departure city of flight LH 402 from database table SGEOCITY.

  • Sync Service Error on iTunes?

This error has been with me ever since iTunes 10.5, when iOS 5 first came out, but even though I've upgraded to iTunes 11, the error still persists. I usually ignore this error, but it's been annoying me, because iTunes keeps trying to get my attention and makes the ding noise when an alert appears. I've looked at the Apple Support Archives - which tell me to upgrade my version of iTunes, however I have the latest version. If it helps, I do have Xcode (and other developer tools if any) installed on my Mac. Does anyone have any suggestions or a possible resolution? Thanks in advance.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac sync Contacts and Calendar issues

OK, so I have a Macbook Pro with OS X Mountian Lion. I have Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac installed. Asked @BlackberryHelp on Twitter how to sync my Blackberry Torch with Outlook as it seems to default to using the builtin Apple Contacts and Calendar instead of Outlook. So they sent me the link to KB19148: "How to synchronize organizer data in Microsoft Office for Mac between the BlackBerry smartphone and a Mac computer using BlackBerry Desktop Software". So I turned on the Sync Services in Outlook and it gave me the dialog box confirming that everything was synced. And it appeared to copy and sync whatever Contacts in the Apple Contacts and calendar entries in the Apple Calendar into Outlook and vice versa. Cool since that's what I wanted.
Then I tried using the Blackberry Desktop Manager to sync everything to my Blackberry Torch 9810. Everything looked like it synced until I opened my Blackberry and all my Contacts were gone. Same with my Calendar entries, except that the Calender entries were hit and miss to whatever copied over (some Calendar entries were missing and others were duplicates). Checked the Apple Contacts and all of them were gone. But when I opened Outlook, everything was there and all OK.
So am I missing something? Turning on Sync Services in Outlook should sync all my Contacts and Calendar with my Blackberry when I use Blackberry Desktop Manager, correct? So why is it still syncing with the Apple Contacts and Calendar (and why did it delete all my Apple Contacts and mess up my Apple Calendar)?
Good thing I backed everything up first so restored everything. But I have all my updated Contacts and Calendar in Outlook and I still need to sync all of that. I don't want to manually do it. So how do I fix this??

After a bit of googling I think you mean the notation "domain\username", i.e., a backslash separator but no leading backslash.
I am not familiar with that notation but apparently it is valid in some contexts.  I googled "os x "domain\username"" to confirm this notation.  Here's one of the hits that shows the notation:
OS X Lion: Guidelines for connecting to a DFS namespace via SMB
I think "DFS" is a distributed file system.  That's as much as I know about this.
