My control center is opaque gray and not translucent. Also happens with my notification center.
I tried restoring several times but in the end is always the same.

A Community Specialist recommended to go to Settings -> General -> Accessiblity and turn off 'Increase Contrast' in this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23026678
They also stated this:
"Keep in mind that if your background is white or a light color, it will not appear to be translucent, and be more opaque."

Why is it that text in Mavericks and Safari renders as medium gray and not black, anymore?

Why is it that text in Mavericks and Safari renders as medium gray and not black, anymore? In Mountain Lion and Safari 6.x this was not a problem.

Have registered the following to the feedback link above by macjack:
Mavericks renders most text as a gray (65 +/- in all three RGB using Digital Color Meter) and not black.
This is a big change from pre-Mavericks and is especially difficult in Safari; worse still in Safari "Reader" where sub-heads in Reader-ized text are still paler.
Especially for older eyes this does not fly. This user is close to downgrading to Mountain Lion and Safari 6, where this was not a problem.
Stout rap on the nose: Jony Ive should be shorn of his glasses/contacts and forced to read only on these displays and OS versions until he cries out for the opthomalogist. One can only conclude this problem exists because those who came up with it were never in need of actually using it.
Make the text BLACK.
It's the same story on our MacBook Airs and MacBook Pro.

CS5 - Why are Edit Auto Blend Layers (and Auto Align Layers) gray and not accessible?

I have CS5 and would like to try focus stacking. I File > Automate > Photomerge with a few photos. They have been aligned in layers. I would like to Auto Blend Layers but the function is gray and not accessible.

Thank you THANK YOU. As I was doing this I realized you asked me to show my selected layers. I haven't been doing that. I thought photoshop would blend all open layers. Thanks again.

They are being shown. When Photoshop gray out items it means in the documents current state that item is not supported, Get the document into a state that the grayed out filters can be used. Some filters mat not support some modes like CMYK. 32bit color, Lab etc. They seem to be listed but nor currently applicable. Note whem no document is open all are grayed out the when a simple clipboard image is open all are available.

Firstly, try a factory reset. This can often iron out problems like this.
Also, what generation is your TC? What version of AirPort Utility are you using?

Iphone 5s, Wifi grayed and not related to the control center swipe

Since yesterday my Iphone 5s stopped working with wifi, it grayed out. I could set it on in the control center, but it doesn't turn it on in the settings.
After sometime it got back to work in the settings, but even when its on there, the relation with the control center is gone, I can turn it on or off there that nothing happens
What can I do??

Have you tried resetting the phone? Press the sleep/wake button and the Home button together and hold them down until the Apple logo appears on the screen (10-15 secs), then let the two buttons go and allow phone to finish restarting. Then go into Settings/Wi-Fi and set it on, then check Control Center.

Control center has turned grey and wont change back - ios 7

I have recently upgraded to ios 7 and everything is running fine, but the control center panel has turned just plain grey when it should be faintly translucent. Is there anything i can do to fix this?

Control Center Jobs - Workflow execution history not being shown

Hi all gurus,
We have recently migrated to owb 11.2 from 10.2. In DEFAULT_CONTROL_CENTER, we can see deployment history, but the "execution" tab is empty. Though we have executed several workflows, they are not shown in the execution TAB in "Control Center Jobs" window after they complete.
Any clue on what can be the problem? Where can I further investigate the problem?

Is there any record in wb_rt_audit_executions? you can connect as OWBSYS, then set workspace to access the audit information.
If there are records and not displayed in the execution tab, then it must have some issues. Then should be looked into further.

Z77A GD 65- Control Center + Click BiosII updates now not working.

Hi, I have the Z77A GD 65 mainboard. Just switched on and there was an update for Live 5 so I installed that, I was then prompted to update Control Center and Click BiosII so I did so. When I try to run Click BiosII I get an error msg telling me that it as been removed and I cant run Control Center has it dosent seem to be present on my pc at all.

Switch to your back up bios and see if all is well. If it is, uninstall live update and check the website periodically for updates.

You may also switch to the other bios once the flash tool has loaded to re-flash the corrupted bios. In other words, boot using good bios into flash tool, when the screen comes up asking for input, reach in and switch to the bad bios. Proceed with flash.
Not a bad idea to run memtest first which is on the tool.

Wifi and bluetooth turned gray and not working

while staying in a hotel my ipod stopped connecting to wifi and would not let me do anything til i synced.when i got home i had to restore but now my wifi and bluetooth have turned gray and are unresponsive.i have restored several times even as a new device but still the same.

Try here. However, frequently it is a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Verify Disk - gray and not selectable

Recently, Disk First Aid reported a problem with my startup drive that it could not repair.
So I shifted to Disk Warrior. It found a number of problems and claimed it could fix them. I said okay.
I restarted from an Install DVD, ran Disk Utility, and ran Repair Disk from First Aid. It gave the startup drive a clean bill of health. Yeah!
But here's the odd thing: After booting from the startup drive again, I went to First Aid again. And now the Verify Disk option for the startup drive was grayed out and not selectable. The "Live Verification" features was not working. Verify Disk was selectable for all other volumes of course.
This makes me concerned that there is still something weird with the drive.
Anyway, does anyone know why the Live Verification feature is not enabled here? And what to do about it?

You might check to see if Journaling is enabled after having run DiskWarrior. It's been my experience that using DiskWarrior breaks Journaling.
Open Disk Utility and highlight the startup disk. Select Enable Journaling from the File menu (or press Command + J). Once enabled, the Verify Disk button should become available again.

IPhoto Originals File now by Date and not Event - why?

Ever since I upgraded to iPhoto 09, I realized the original file structure in the iPhoto Library has changed back to Dates, rather than by Events, even though all my photos belong in a non-date event. This is the same as Iphoto 06. I got used to the Event structure in iPhoto 08.
All my previous events are still intact, but I have this problem for my new pics where if I put them in an event, the original file structure would be sorted by date. This is very annoying if I want to send an event to someone or if I'm using Front Row/Boxee to view a particular event. Does anyone have the same issue? I thought if I put a photo into an event, it would automatically update in the file structure immediately as well.
As you can see below, some files are sorted by Events and some files are sorted by Dates:

No.
The strict link between the Events in the iPhoto Window and the folders in the Finder was broken with iPhoto 09 and no one outside of Apple knows why.
However, it shouldn't matter, because you ahould not be accessing the files inside the iPhoto Package File anyway - bluntly it's not a supported way of accessing the files.
Make Albums of the photos to view in other apps.

*For Users of 10.5 and later*
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.

Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
*If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running*:
For users of 10.6 and later:
You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and later:
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
