HT5858 No matter how I swipe....my control center doesn't come up from any screen and it's enabled. Is this a common problem on the iPad mini?

I've been having a hard time getting my control center to come up on the home screen, lock screen, in apps, anything. It never comes up when I try to swipe up and use it....but every once in a while when I'm doing something else it opens accidentally. It seems their is a delay or something but I can seems to get it to work on demand

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

TIP: How to easily access Control Center in IOS7

I tried hundreds of times to access the Control Center by "swiping up" from any screen to no avail. Then, I figured out the trick: Start your swipe from the Home button and not the screen itself. Works everytime. (Also, try swiping down from the speaker to reach the Notification Center).

Just found the apex_access_control table in my schema.

I am not familiar with Citrix Reciever but is it possible it is open or being used in another open app?
Try quitting all apps then try again.
Quit all apps: Double tap the Home button and swipe the app preview page up for each open app

How durable is the ipad Mini

Hello, I was wondering how durable the ipad mini is and how much usage it can take compared to the regular ipad in every day life.

I have both and would say the iPad mini is just as durable as my iPad 3. The first thing I do with any iPad is to buy a case that protects the body and the screen.
I prefer the Snugg cases as they offer a degree of protection if the device is accidentally dropped. (As a matter of course I buy 'full' cases for all my iOS devices).

There are two separate calendars on ipad (ios 7.1) one for icloud, one fo exchange. I have tried a couple of calendar apps and while they do a good job of showing the events in the app - they don't push (synch) back to iCloud. Any thoughts on an app that will take my ipad calendars and synch them to a single icloud calendar/account?

I have a macbook pro, iphone 5 and a ipad mini. I would like to know how do I disable the icloud settings on only my ipad mini? Basically, I do not want icloud Active on the ipad mini.. I only want it active only on my macbook pro and on my iphone 5.

Meaning, that in the future when I do go to make it active on the ipad mini..... Just go to the icloud tab and just sign into it on the ipad mini and it will make it active again...

I saw one post where a user said dust got inside the small microphone hole. Using a vacuum cleaner removed the dust and restored the audio.

I got to that page but clicking on the Subscribe Free had no effect.
Nothing showed in the Podcasts nor the iTunes U.
In fact I also subscribed to Stanford's lectures and despite actually managing to DL them there is still no subscription in iTunes U, just the Intro to Computer Science belatedly.
