Deauthorizing/authorizing is different than untrusting/trusting.

iOS: 'Trust This Computer' alert
says
Note: If you select Trust, the computer will be trusted indefinitely.
However, this says if you manually delete a file it will be untrusted.
any options to "untrust" the computer?

Hi,
use the power-switch on the left backside of your iMac to turn your Mac off.
Use it again to restart your Mac and hold down the Alt/Option-button to get to the Boot Selection screen.
Choose OSX.
Once in OSX go to System Preferences - Startup Volume and reset it to use OSX as the default.
Am I right assuming that you try to install Windows XP on a new (2011) iMac ?
If so, XP is no longer supported by Apple for use/install With BootCamp.
But there are some success stories when using a XP with SP3.

I'm running CS3 on Mac OS Leopard, and the automatic tool switching slows me down, but even preferences doesn't show a way to turn this off.

With any marquee tool, JUST holding down the option key should not switch tools. You need to explain the problem much more carefully, It's completely impossible to tell from your description whats going wrong.

The only preference related to this, is to do with the SHIFT KEY - "use Shift key for tool switch".

Why does the "Computer Name" sometimes change?

                Not a big deal, just curious, why does the "computer name" sometimes change?
                 The name will be the same, but it will add a number....2,3,4...I always change it back so it doesn't have a numeric value next to it, but just wondering why it happens.

Can also occur after your computer is put to sleep and then wakes back up or after your computer is force quit and immediately restarted. Sometimes the router 'believes' the computer is still connected when it actually isn't. When that computer re-establishes a connection the router 'tells' the computer that a computer with that name already exists so it has to change its name. You can't running a SWF on a webpage. Can you imagine if a SWF had access to that OS-level information? It breaches everything Flash, browsers and the web stands for, which is "not being an application", therefore it has absolutely no access to your computer. Especially information like your username.
If you're running a flash projector, that's different. Not that a projector can do that either, but projectors are applications and can be extended by things like MDM Zinc and ScreenTime mProjector. Going that route opens up the constraints on Flash Projectors and lets you tap into things like .dlls. Only via that route are you going to be able to get at such a low level item like the current logged on user.

How to stop the computer from changing its local network name when waking up from sleep mode

How do I prevent a mac mini from changing its' network name automatically when it wakes up from sleep mode... It will wake up and display a warning that the network name is already in use and it changes its name to (n+1) name with number after it... I know that there is no other device with that name because the only other things on the network are 2 hard drives (one being used for time capsule) and a printer..
This is very annoying and needs to be fixed.... don't tell me to make the computer never sleep because that defeats the power savings settings under power management.

Go to System Preferences>Network>AirPort and delete your network from the Preferred Networks box. Reenter your network information. Make sure that AirPort is the topmost listed interface when you Show Port Configurations. Apply the changes and Restart. Does it work now?

I am trying to create a website that will match lonely people that have no place to go for the holidays with people that are willing to "host" these people. In order to do that I need people to be able to enter information in and have the computer match the information with another person's information. The flat panel will not stay in an upright postion, it keeps drooping down towards the keyboard. The guys at the apple store in our town said that since this product is no longer available I would have to purchase a new arm for the computer. Any help?

I believe that the arm is not user serviceable and requires a special tool (your local Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) should have one) - I'm surprised the Apple Store didn't offer to adjust it for a fee.
As the new arms come in at around £200 - £300 dependant on model; I would suggest looking in your local Yellow Pages and find an(other) AASP who can may the adjustment.

I have an HPE Pavilion h8-1100z, 64 bit, running Win 7. When the computers goes to sleep, I have problems waking it up. I have tried pressing various keys but nothing happens. Microsoft says to check the computer manual but I don't see anything in the manual which tells me what to do. I end up turning the computer off.

Guinniegirl, welcome to the forum.
I suggest changing the power settings: Start / Control Panel / Power Options. In the left column there are different categories for making the computer Sleep. Check the settings to assure they are to your liking. You can change any of the settings to "Never" if you choose to do so.

Create a Z test program using the particular table and filed .
Now goto SE38 and execute the program " RSDEPEND "
give the ur test program and then execute . u will get the list of the last change of ur program
( table and fields used inthis program)
