HT5902 Help retrieving some photos from icloud

I recently backed up my iphone5 to icloud because I was gonna get a new iphone5. Once I reverted back to my backup, I can only view roughly 30 of my photos. It shows the correct amount of total pictures and videos, but i can only view approximately 10% of them.

Are you able to import them to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, and if so, can you then view the imported photos on your computer?

Did you restore your iCloud backup?  That should recover camera roll photos.

Please help me retrieve my photos from icloud

    Hello
The steps to import your Photo Stream are in the article below. If you have a Mac, then you will use the latest version of iPhoto. If you are using Windows, then you will need the iCloud Control Panel.

How do I view My Photo Stream?
iPhone, iPad or iPod touch: Your photos will appear in the My Photo Stream album in the Photos app. If you're using iOS, you can find your photos by tapping the Photo Stream tab, then tapping the My Photo Stream album. In iOS 5, your photos are in the Photo Stream album.
Mac: Your photos appear in the Shared albums section under iCloud in iPhoto 9.5 or Aperture 3.5. In earlier support versions of iPhoto and Aperture, your photos appear in the Photo Stream section. In iPhoto 9.4 or later or in Aperture 3.4 or later, open the My Photo Stream album.
PC using Windows 8.1: From the Start screen, click the down arrow Down arrow in the lower-left corner, then click the iCloud Photos app.
PC using Windows 8: From the Start screen, select iCloud Photos (or Photo Stream in iCloud Control Panel 2.0 to 2.12).
PC using Windows 7: Click the Windows Start button, then click Pictures. Click iCloud Photos or Photo Stream under the Favorites menu in the panel on the left. Double-click My Photo Stream to view your photos.
Apple TV: After signing in with your iCloud account, you can view your photos by choosing iCloud Photos or Photo Stream from the main menu (or selecting Internet > Photo Stream in Apple TV Software Update 5.0).

  • If my ipad is stolen.  Where do i retrieve my photos From icloud

If my ipad is stolen. Where do i retrieve my photos from icloud

You can retrieve photos from phot stream from an iPhone or from your computer, if you were using Photo Stream. If you were not using Photo Stream, the only other way to retrieve your photos is by restoring from a backup of the iPad, and that is assuming that you were backing up the iPad with iCloud and that you have another iOS device that you could restore the iPad backup from.
The Photo Stream solution is the most practical. If you weren't using photo stream, the photos are gone.

  • How do I retrieve my photos from icloud after backing it up

I purchased an iphone 5. I backed all of my photos, music, etc. up and now I'm not sure how to get it back on my phone..HELP!

Restore the backup when given the option during the iPhone setup process.  If your phone is already set up, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup.
Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

  • HT4908 how do i retrieve my photos from icloud as my previous iph was stolen but the pictures in that iph was backed up by i cloud

    hi there,
my previous iph 4s was stolen and all the pics i took on holidays werent backed up to the computer but i did back them on i cloud now i have another ip, so how do i retrieve those pictures to my computer or to my new iphone. please help me as those pics were very precious to me.
    thanks

If you backed up your other phone to iCloud, you can restore the new one to the backup, which should recover your photos as well as other data and settings.  You are given the option to restore to your iCloud backup when you first set up a new phone (see image below).  If you already set up your new phone, you'll have to erase it, then go back through the setup again to access this option.
To do this, tap Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings.  Then follow the on-screen setup again, choose Restore from iCloud Backup when given the option, then select the backup from your old phone to restore from.  Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger as restoring an iCloud backup can take a while to finish.

  • How to retrieve deleted photos from iCloud?

    Hey there!
I really need some help. Yesterday, I was trying to move photos from my camera role into another album. However, i accidently selected 'delete everywhere'. Before doing this though, my phone was plugged in,locked, on charge which should mean that the photos were backed up on iCloud right? But i don't know how i can get them from iCloud.
I did have photostream turned on my phone, but not my Ipad with which the whole storage thing was connected to. Is there any way of retreiving those photos?Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

    Anyone..?

  • HT4859 how do i retrieve my photos from iCloud

Having had our Mac Air stolen I know want to retrieve all my photos in my iCloud, how is the best way to do this?

Your only choice is to perform a restore from an icloud backup.  However...
Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS.   Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud.  There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.
    See:
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage,  tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
    IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream - and then moved into permanent albums for storage.  If using Photo stream, but sure to move the received photos to a permanent album.  If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered.  I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

  • Retrieval of photos from iCloud

How do I retrieve photos that have been backed up by iCloud

Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates available.
Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from.

  • HT201077 How do I retrieve my photos from iCloud if I am no longer using an Apple device?

About a month ago, my iPhone was damaged by water and I haven't had the money to replace it. I am currently using an old Blackberry Curve phone. I  wanted to know if there is anyway I can retrieve the photos that were in my iCloud?

Not unless you have shared albums to public websites or unless someone lets you use their device to log in and recover your photos.

  • HELP - Need help with recovering photos from iCloud

This may be a simple question, but I've never had to do it before, so I am asking.
I have an iPhone 4S.  It was backed up to iCloud yesterday before I had to swap my cracked screen phone for a new phone.  How do I recover photos that were backed up yesterday?  I am sure it is a couple easy steps, but can someone let me know what those might be to restore my phone from iCloud's backup yesterday?

Photos and videos from your camera roll are backed up to iCloud when you do an iCloud backup.
This article tells you how to restore an iCloud backup:

  • Can i retrieve iphone photos from icloud from longer than 30 days ago?

My iphone 4S was stolen today. My primary concern at this point is the photos and video that I had on the phone. Unfortunately, I have not been an active user of either Photo Stream or iCloud. I did download FindMyiPhone onto my Mac today and in the process initiated iCloud. I've read a little bit more in the last couple of hours and spent some time on iPhoto and I have just noticed that the last 30 days worth of photos on my phone are now in the Photo Stream folder in iPhoto. My question, then, is that since there were only a total of about 250 photos on my phone, from the last 7 months, are those photos that were older than the last 30 days anywhere in the cloud that I can access them?
    Thanks!
    Chad

Thanks - but where do I go to see them? When I log into icloud.com I don't see any photos. I just see icons for calendar, contacts, mail, iwork, etc...
    Open iPhoto on your Mac.
The idea is you take photos with your iPhone then use iCloud to download them to iPhoto on your computer (before 30 days are up).
