Make sure you are entering the events on your iPod in the iCloud calendar and not something else such as On My iPod. Check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the Calendars section) to be sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default.

Hello,
I recently purchased a 16GB iPOD Touch. I synced with itunes on my Mac successfully (10.5.1), however i am unable to get my Address Book to sync with the iPOD
Any ideas - i have enabled iTunes/iPOD to sync with my Address Book when i connect my iPOD, but no joy.

I tried clicking the advanced option (Info tab in iTunes) to copy over all contacts to my iPod, but nothing changed. I tried the advice to check only a few groups, and it did remove the other groups. So I tried reducing the # of groups I was using.... Then when I checked sync all contacts again, all the old groups showed up again on my iPod, that no longer existed in my Address Book. Strange! Also frustrating and time-consuming.
I don't think this question is "answered" yet. Has anyone found a solution? How do you notify Apple of this type of problem?

i have windows 7 and wen i updated my itunes from itunes 9 to the latest version of itunes 10.5 i had a hard time getting itunes to open
but now that i finally got itunes open and updated it says that my ipod can not be found because the required software
is not found i have unistalled and reinstalled itunes more then 10x now and each time my computer is able to reconize my ipod
but my itunes doesnt i am completely at my witts end on how to fix this
ps. im not a real computer savvy person so if u can
dumb ur answeres down a bit it would be greatly appreciated
pss. can anyone explain what a 64-bit is the faq box says i have to install that version but i got my itunes off of the itunes website
i also dont know what an o.s is or how to find it

Same here, iTunes otherwise works just fine. Plug in iPod Touch (32GB from fall of last year, iOS v4.3.5), iTunes locks up and eventually crashes. iPod never chimes in that it's connected and charging and shows up in device list in iTunes, but never enters sync mode.
PowerBook G4, Mac OS 10.5.8 with 2GB of RAM. Tryed re-installing iTunes 10.5, restarting, rebuilding permissions, nothing worked. Worked just fine last week. Also links up just fine with a Windoze 7 laptop running iTunes 10.5 (but it's not one that I sync with.).
Bummer, I was really looking forward to iOS 5, but now will have no way to install it untill Apple fixes 10.5.

My 2nd generation iPod touch is currently on 4.2, it won't sync with my iTunes because I'm running on Tiger OSX. I cannot afford to buy a new mac (yet) just for me to sync my iPod.
What can I do?

Ipod touch does not sync with itunes

I have added some music from a different computer's itunes, and though these new songs are in my ipod now, they don't show up in my own itunes. Plus: after i did that, I can't synchronize anything new.

- You can only sync with on iTunes library/computer. However, yo can manually manage/copy music from different computers/libraries to your iPod. Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

IPod Touch will not sync with iTunes - Windows 7 w/Service Pack 1

I recently updated my relatively new (December) HP desktop to the new Windows 7 Service Pack 1. Since then, I have been unable to sync my iPod Touch with iTunes. Once the sync is initiated, iTunes freezes and nothing happens. Needles to say, before I did that update, I did not experience these problems. I have removed and reinstalled all the iTunes and related software, as per Apple's instructions, and still no change. Does anyone know if there is a solution to this issue or if one might be coming from Apple?

Try a hard reset of your iPod. Hold down the home and sleep/wake buttons until a red slider appears at the top of the lock screen. Sliding it will power off your iPod. Turn it back on and then try connecting it to iTunes.
That's actually a soft reset.
A hard reset requires you to hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

hey there, my problem is that my iPod Touch does not sync anything from the "info"-section shown in iTunes, neither Contacts nor Calendar nor Mail Accounts...
In contrast it's no problem with my iPod nano (1. gen).

everytime i try to sync Contacts and so on, i get a message saying "iTunes cannot sync 'Contacts' to the iPod, because the Sync-Server can't sync the iPod" (i tried to translate the originally German message...)

Im having this problem as well and it really defeats the purpose of having a calendar on here if it won't work. Mine seems to only want to try to sync one of my 6 calendars I want to carry with me, but even then that one calendar doesn't update all events. It's very selective/random.
I also find that the odd photo album is randomly ignored. But the iCal sync is important for me. Why Apple just doesn't allow a direct link from iCal allowing multiple calendars is beyond me. If the iPod Touch is running a copy of OS X anyway, why not just make the Calendar app basically identical to iCal? And make it work!

My daughters iPod Touch will not sync with her iMac anymore.
It will with my MacBook Pro but not with her iMac.
We are both running Snow Leopard.
Is there a toggle or setting that needs to be changed.

Why won't it sync? Are you getting any sort of error message during the sync process? If so what is the exact wording of that error message? If this the computer you normally sync the iPod with?

Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.

I have recently updated itunes and on the back of doing so my Ipod touch will not sync my library. The Ipod itself is a couple of years old but using iOS 6.1.6.
I have deleted and re-installed Itunes. I have wiped my Ipod to start again. I have set it to sync over Wi-fi and nothing has worked. I physically plug the Ipod in and it gets detected. If I change a setting and click apply it briefly says syncing and then nothing.
I have set automatically download Itunes songs etc etc etc and absolutely nothing seems to get it to sync!

How many steps are completed? What is listed in the status bar of iTunes when it stops?

When I updated my iPod to the new os, it does not work with my ford sync system anymore. how do I fix this?

Have lots of issues with Fords MySync and here's some info that might help....
Using ford sync interface, goto the phone section, then settings, and look if your iPhones name is listed, if so select the phone name thru sync interface and remove/delete it from the sync list, then go thru the Bluetooth pairing process again.
If that doesn't work, do the same on the iPhone, select ford sync entry in Bluetooth and remove sync or forget this device on the iPhone and then go thru Bluetooth pairing again.
If that doesn't work Power off iphone ( not sleep) hold power button till you see red slider to power off. Then restart iphone, try pairing up again.
If that doesn't work go back to MySync and goto phone settings and use the up-down slider till you see sync master reset. Confirm then go thru BT pairing again.
If that doesn't work there is a fuse for the my sync system. Fuse box is usually behind kick panel of front passenger seat side for the Mustang #3, its behind a paper black cover. Remove fuse for 5-30 secs then replace.
Lastly, make sure your MySync Firmware is the latest vers. Mines 4.0.2 goto fords MySync support page to check

The contacts and calendar data on my iPod touch will not sync with my Mac

I have a 2nd generation ipod touch, and an iMac running iTunes 8.2.1.
I have been away from my mac for a few months and have entered a lot of contact and calendar info into my ipod touch.
Now, when I try to sync the contacts and calendar data on my ipod touch with my mac, the data will not sync to my mac.
Similarly, for the last couple months, the contact and calendar data on my ipod touch has not been able to sync with my mobileme account.
I cannot afford to lose the contact and calendar data on my ipod touch.
Can anyone kindly inform me how to fix this syncing problem without losing such data?
