HT5945 Why does Instal Java SE 6 keep popping up and when I attempt to install it says that there is a problem with the internet connection ??? Please help

I keep getting a pop up reminder to install Java SE 6. When I attempt to install it an error occurs saying that there is a internet connection problem and the Java cannot be intalled. This thing pops up every 15 minutes. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help

OK, so you don't have a working iTunes.
What I would like to do now is to try installing each iTunes component separately.
First uninstall the 5 iTunes programs that you have installed.
You should have iTunesSetup.exe saved in a folder on your PC, probably in the downloads folder. If not download and save it now.
Open the folder containing iTunessetup.exe with explorer.
Next open notepad and copy the following 3 lines into it.
md temp
itunessetup /extract temp
pause
Save the file as extract.bat into the same folder that contains the itunes installer.
Open the downloads folder and you should find the extract file that you saved. Double click on it and a black window will open telling you what it is doing. When its finished, press any key to continue.
You should find that a folder called temp has been created containing all the itunes msi files.
Install in this order by double clicking on them:
Apple Application Support
Bonjour
Apple Mobile Device Support
Apple Software Update
Quicktime
iTunes
If one of the installs fails, stop and post the error message in full. I am hoping that by doing this separately we will get a better error message.

Yes, I had found a similar solution also. I'm running XP Pro, SP3. I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair. Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that.

Repair your Apple software Update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU in All programs, go to control panel/
XP- add n remove Programs/highlight ASU, CHANGE then REPAIR.
Vista or Win7 - Programs n features/highlight ASU and click REPAIR

Does the name and address on your credit card match exactly the name and address on your iTunes account, and have you checked with your card issuer to see if they are ones who are declining it ? I've got a similar problem. iTunes v10.2 worked fine, but when I tried to update it to 10.5 I got a 'Bonjour' error. I eventually solved that but I still couldn't upgrade to 10.5, so I deleted every single Apple, Quicktime, iTunes, etc file on my PC using Revo Unistaller (because the normal Windows Add/Delete programs wouldn't work) but now, when I install the latest iTunes version from scratch (on XP SP3), it says: "the installer encountered errors before it could be configured.... your system has not been modified"
Any ideas?

When I try to update or download anything a window pops up saying to check my billing info or that there was a billing problem, so when I tried to delete my NGO and cha ge it to none there was no option for that. Yes. You need to correct the billing descrepancy before you can use the iTunes store. Write down what error you are getting, and open a support request at expresslane.apple.com for the iTunes store. They can check the issue and get a solution for you.

I was given a macbook pro with parallel windows, and later windows was remove but hard disk space is greyed out and could not be merge and when i run a 'verify disk' it told me to reformat my OS. The nearest service centre is real far away from me and i hope to solve this on my own. I need to keep my applications and files, how do i do so? As some of these applications was given by my company. I need help on keeping my files and reformating.

You need to do as provided. If no change after restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.

Lots of people are having the same problem, you're not the only one, belieeeeve me.
Just Googling the problem gets you tons of people complaining about the same thing, SOMETHING is up with Lion what wasn't happening with Snow Leopard. i just bought a new Imac and it CAME with Lion, so i started experiencing this internet dropout immediately.
It's been going on for the most of a year it looks like (at least by the dates from the threads i've been reading)
So your best bet is to fiddle with the System Preferences and read what other people have used to make theirs work. i'm doing that myself right now. I already posted a similar thread last night trying to figure out why my connection kept on dropping, i got a reply which linked me to a site. i followed the instructions there, so far so good, but i'm just being cautiously optimistic.
i'm gonna call Apple today and see if they've found anything, though seeing as this is a problem right out of the box there may not be an immediate solution. Good luck hunting for a solution :3

Apple only supports Windows on certain hardware.

Apple provides their framework for Windows to run on a Mac, a piece of software called a Hybrid MBR that bridges the gap between how Windows reads the drive partition table (MBR) and EFI/GUID partition table that Mac's use.
It doesn't mean Windows can't run on your Mac, a third party solution called rEFIt will also bridge the gap and allow booting of more that just Windows, Linux as well for a triple booting computer.
Your hardware has to meet the other requirements the second and third operating system needs as as being able to install drivers that will work for your hardware, especially the fans or they will run loud and fast by default.

I even admit I don't know everything myself, but I experiment on a separate piece of Mac hardware (out of warranty/AppleCare) designed for this purpose so in case something screws up I'm not taking down my only machine and can use the other to get online and find solutions.
There is a very high potential for losing your data if your using advanced/non-Apple methods to install Windows on your only Mac where Apple doesn't support it. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
