Is there any way to Sync contacts from Outlook for Mac to iPhone 5? Apple support says that only iTune can only sync contacts from "Contact" which is the default contact of Mac. If one is running Outllok on a Mac machine then it is not possible to sync the contacts with iPhone. It is strange that Apple distributors are promoting and offering machines with promise that Windows users can now run MS Office on Mac machines without any problem. While this is true, it is so strange that one cannot sync the contacts from MacBook Pro to iPhone5. If someone has found a way to sync contacts from Outlook to iPhone 5 please help as it is very frustrating to not be able to sync the contacts. Thanks, Amit.

<Edited By Host>If the iPhone has Activation Lock - that is, it's asking for the previous owner's Apple ID and password to activate the device - then you will need that information, or you'll need to get the previous owner to remove the device from his/her iCloud account:

We were able to push the EAP-TLS configuration profiles and certificates to windows devices via group policy. However, we're now looking to see how we can accomplish this for Mac book and iphones? Is there an open source application or something we can leverage to do this?
ThanksI think ammahend was looking for a rough count which is what my question was going to be. The reason I would ask this is that if the device count is low then you could manually provision certs on those devices. Not ideal since you will have to manually generate CSRs, get them signed and then installed on the machines.
Another way to do this is if you have an MDM solution in place. You can have the MDM integrate with your CA via SCEP and then on-board devices that way. You don't have to integrate ISE with MDM (advanced licenses needed) as you can only have ISE check for the cert and only perform EAP-TLS authentications.

I'm still struggling with being able to sync ipad3 and iphone 4s to itunes after upgrading software to ios 6. I've gone through all the recommendations by Apple and suggestions from other forums and nothing seems to work. Help!!!!!
Sounds like you have a battry issue but don't want to believe it.
If a car was running fine on one tank of gas, then you filled it up with another tank of gas and it began to run funny, one might suspect that tank of gas. But let's just say coincidence blew a valve-- would you think the new tank of gas was the culprit?
BUT WAIT!! It just might have been! The gas could have been of higher octane and put more more strain on the valves; you know, like going from 87 octane (OS6) to 93 octane (OS7) and showing you the engine was on the edge of compromise.
Sometimes you have to go with common sense. If everything else is ruled out, it must be the battery. And if it runs fine one moment in OS6 but immediately ***** in OS7, I'd believe my battery was suspect-- though comfy-- in OS6 but the OS7 showed its true power.
Moreover, if you had the answer-- or didn't want to believe someone's more competent advice-- why did you even call? You've already shown that you don't know much when you asked if you could go backwards after setting up the new OS as a new phone.
Additonally, if you're such the know-it-all, but yourself the $29 battery and put it in yourself. It's a piece of cake.

I cannot sync all my photos from mac to iPhone. The sync finishes before all photos are copied to The iPhone so in my iPhone I have albums with less photos than Mac! I select The album that I want to sync on The iPhone on iTunes but the syncronization finishes before all the photos of the selected albums are copied on The phone.
You should erase all contents and setting before giving your iphone away.

Address book and iPhone sync... two issues

I have two problems. The first is that every time I add, edit or delete contacts on my iPhone, the changes are never reflected on my computer no matter how many times I sync. This has not always been the case but I am unsure how long this has been going on as it is not easily noticed due to the fact that I have over 1500 contacts.
I decided to bite the bullet and allow my address book on the computer to wipe my iPhone contacts. When I did I ended up with 1513 cards on my address book and only 1510 cards on my iPhone!
How is this possible? Is anyone else suffering from the fact that the iPhone does not update the computers address book?The most plausible explanation is that you have 3 contacts on your computer that have corrupted data and could not be transferred. In addition, ANY corrupted records on the computer prevent a normal sync from happening.
You need to find the bad records. One way to do this is to create a new group in Address Book, and put some of the contacts in this group. Then sync the group to the iPhone. If it works, continue adding more until it stops syncing. You then know the set with the bad data. One neat trick is called "binary search". Add half you contacts to the group. If it works, the problem is in the other half, so swap the halves. If it doesn't work, move half of the contacts OUT of the group and try again. Follow this process, halving each time to keep bad contacts in the group until you have located them. -
Basically, my iphone has been in the same apple ID as my dads iphone and mac book, so my iphone has always been synced to his macbook. I bought myself a mac book the other day and want to sync my iphone to it. However i have obviously put my mac book in a different apple id as i know pay for things i download myself, how can I sync my iphone to my mac book without losing all the music and pictures on it? ive now put my iphone into my new apple id thinking this might help? ive also tried clicking 'manually manage music and video' but this doesnt seem to work, it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.

Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content. -
Syncing selectively with entourage, address book and iPhone... geesh
Hi All,
This may all sound funky, but here is where I find myself.
I have thousands of contacts that I send stuff to monthly. I use pages to create the material I send. All of these contacts live in Address Book. They are the only contacts in Address Book - specifically because I can only merge contacts that are in Address Book with Pages (which blows, but is a whole other issue).
I use entourage for all my "real" contacts. Folks I contact every day, associates, family, etc.
Enter, my iPhone. Now I want to sync all my "Real" contacts (from entourage) with my iPhone. I just want my iPhone to sync with entourage, not all those contacts that live in my Address Book. Now I realize I can selectively sync just certain groups in the Address Book with the iphone, however, if I sync entourage and the address book, all those thousands of contacts really slow down entourage and even filtering them out can be a waiting game.
So, in a perfect world, I would be able to sync my iPhone directly with entourage. Or, in a slightly less perfect but still happy world, I would be able to sync entourage with the Address Book, but selectively keep all those thousands of contacts in the address book from syncing with entourage.
Does anyone see a way out of this?
RI am looking for an answer to a similar question. I use iCal and Address Book for family and personal calendars and contacts; I use Entourage for business calendars and contacts. I was successfully using Entourage 2004 to sync calendar events and contacts between my Mac and my Treo 650. I have now upgraded to Entourage 2008, which abandoned the direct sync conduit to the Treo. I am now forced to sync via iCal and Address Book. Which means that I seem to have a choice between (1) no longer syncing data between my Treo and my Mac or (2) accepting that all my Address Book data will land up in Entourage where I don't want it to be. (I can selectively choose which iCal calendars
Does anybody know of a solution for this? From reading through the forums, it appears that this problem is not specific to the Treo or Palm OS, but affects any type of sync between Entourage and a wireless device.
