HT5961 I am logged into two phones how do I log out of the old one??

How do I log out of my other phone

Hello tobij2n7,
It sounds like you would like to log out of iCloud account on one of your iPhones.  You can do this by deleting the iCloud account from your device:
On your iOS device’s Home screen, go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Account.
iCloud: Change iCloud feature settings
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2613
If you no longer have access to the iPhone you would like to log out of, you can remove the iPhone from your account on iCloud.com.  It is important to note that this will erase the iPhone.  Follow the steps in the section titled “Remove an iOS device you no longer have” in the following article:
iCloud: Remove your device from Find My iPhone

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Best,
Sheila M.

I used to share one apple ID/account with my ex but made a new one for myself recently and logged out of the old one but when I try to update my iBooks (only happens with this app)it asks for the other account's password(which my ex changed by now). I don't understand why this happens when I'm logged into my account and it only happens with that app. Please help, I need to update. :/

Content (apps, music, ibooks, films etc) is tied to the account that originally downloaded it, so if the iBooks app was downloaded using the account that you used to share with your ex then only that account can download updates to it. As it's a free app you could delete it and re-download it under your own account - and then re-download your ibooks into it (or copy the books to your computer's iTunes first via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync them back to the app).

  • In Plugins I have two versions of Adobe Acrobat - how do I get rid of the old one?

In Plugins (and Applications) it shows two version of Adobe Acrobat: 10.1.13.16 and 11.0.10.32 How do I get rid of the old one?

Thanks! Especially for the last sentence :). Now that I found the path, I see the Adobe Acrobat 10.1.13.16 is the full version and Adobe Acrobat 11.0.10.32 is the reader. Should I delete the Reader?

  • I have an old iPhone and my new phone that I'm using currently. The old one isn't being used. Can I make both of the phones receive all of my text messages?

I have an old iPhone and my new phone that I'm using currently. The old one isn't being used. Can I make both of the phones receive all of my text messages even though my old one doesn't have service but there is wifi?

You can activate iMessage on the old one so it can get your iMessages. The old phone will NOT recieve SMS/MMS messages sent to your number.

i use windows and i got my hard disk replaced now when i try to sync wirelessly my ipod detects my computed as being a different one how can i make it forget the old one?

You will have to sync it to the new one, erasing the current content from the ipod and replacing it with the content from the new drive.
Make sure you have copied everything from your backup copy of your computer back to the new drive first.

  • I have changed my icloud account but now can't log out of the old account on my ipad. What can I do next?

I am having problems with logging out of the icloud on my ipad so that I can log in with my new icloud account. How can I change this so that all of my logins will work?

Have you got 'Find My iPad' enabled? This has to be turned off using the original ID address.
Try going back to http://appleid.apple.com and changing the ID back to the original address. If you can get this accepted, then go to the iCloud preferences/settings pane, stop 'Find My ....', and then sign out. Do the same on any other devices or computers.
Then go back to http://appleid.apple.com and change the ID to the new one. Sign in with that on all your devices.
However if the address which forms the original ID is now not working it can't be validated and it's possible that you won't be able to revert to it. In this situation only Support can help you.
To contact  iCloud Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the initial period, you can contact them here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/
You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.

  • I sign into my new itunes account on my ipod touch but it still says I am logged in on the old one!!

So, my friend and I shared an username and such. But he deleted his account and forgot to tell me. I made a new account with a different friend and his is verified and such. I logged onto my itunes store account thing on my ipod in the settings. I even logged onto it on my laptop in Itunes!  I went to the Itunes store app on my touch and I scrolled to the bottome and it looks as though I am logged in on the new account....beow the email it says "Terms & Conditions...." so I was thinking the "..." was because something was left undone. But anyways,  when I go to the app store on my touch and try to update my apps the little window pops up and asks for my password..I looked at the email and it still has the old accounts email! How?! Why?! HELP.

We have two iTunes accounts we don't want to use our old account cause the password doesn't work how do we just use our new account? The problem is when we update apps it will ask for our password to our old account and when we go to down load an app we have had before it wants to go thru our old account now do we only use new account?

Welcome to the Apple community Todc.
Besides signing out of the account, you will need to delete the apps on the device that were purchased under that ID.

  • I cant sign in to i-cloud with my new apple id  i signed out of the old one and when i try to log in i just get the 'thinking about it' logo. this lasts for ages and doesn't sign me in.  help!

Hi, i have recently purchased an i-phone 4s and had been merrily playing away and set up an i cloud account.  However when i tried to access i cloud from my pc i couldn't verify it.  I had to change my apple id because i no longer had access to my old e-mail.  I managed to sort out my i-phone and change all the  accounts to my new apple i.d (except game centre? don't know how to do that yet.)  but when i signed out of my old i-cloud account on my pc and tried to sign in with my new apple id it just tries to connect (i get the i'm thinking about it wheel) for ages; not allowing me to log on.
    Help!

  • Latest iOS update is killing the battery on my iPhone 5, how do I go back to the old one?

I just updated my iOS a few days ago, and now my battery is draining at a rate of 20% every hour.  I've turned off everything I can think of, including bluetooth, wifi, gps, etc., and it's still exactly the same.  I have not been using my iPhone anymore than before, if anything, maybe less.  Is there any possible way to go back to the old iOS version?  Would a system restore from an old backup work?  My phone is not lasting more than a few hours before it dies... I really need to get this fixed.

    Viewing Usage Statistics
Awareness of how you use your iPhone and knowing how long your battery typically lasts can help you improve its battery life. You can view your iPhone usage statistics by tapping the Settings icon on the Home screen and choosing General > Usage. Under the “Time since last full charge” heading you’ll see two items:
Usage: Amount of time iPhone has been awake and in use since the last full charge. The phone is awake when you’re on a call, using email, listening to music, browsing the web, or sending and receiving text messages, or during certain background tasks such as auto-checking email.
Standby: Amount of time iPhone has been powered on since its last full charge, including the time the phone has been asleep.
When these two times are the same or very close together, that is almost always indicitive of something using your phone's battery life, even if you're not using it - (e.g. auto-lock set to "Never", Email auto-checking options set to "Push" and the email account having many mailboxes/folders)

  • My Iphone was stolen. I was wondering if I connect a new phone, if I can continue to track the old one?

My phone is stolen. I need to know if by connecting a new phone to my cell number, if I will no longer be able to track my iphone.
    HELP

If you set up location services on your iPhone and Find My iPhone on iCloud you can use any computer to find you old one assuming they have not turned it off, pulled the microSIM or Restored it. If you did not set up Find My iPhone you can't locate it anyway and the new phone will make no difference.

  • Moved into new flat - How do i find out what the t...

I've just moved into a leased flat as a tenant and there is a BT box on the wall.
I'm looking to setup broadband etc but all providers require the telephone number at the property.  Is there any way to find this out?
I don't have a phone plugged in atthe moment so i'm assuming no dial tone etc.

Don`t assume there is no dial-tone, as quite often the line is simply "stopped".
Plug a phone in, and if there is dial tone, then dial 1470 17070.
If you are lucky it will give you the number.
You may however wish to ask for a different number, just in case the previous tenant, had problems.
If its not a BT line, you may get a different message.
