HT6010 How to restore Siri in iOS 7.03?
As soon as I installed iOS 7.02, I got a note that 7.03 needed to be installed on my iPhone 4S. But Siri doesn't work in 7.03. You hold the button and get the Siri prompt screen, but it is frozen and doesn't respond. You can exit by hitting the button again, but that's all you can do. Is there a fix for this or do we have to wait for apple to fix it in 7.04?
Siri works fine in 7.0.3. It is your device that has the issue OR there was an issue with the download when you updated.
Try general troubleshooting like restarting the device, Toggle siri off and then back on, Most likely you will want to backup the device and restore it in itunes.

In a nutshell, requesting microphone input in iOS 8 will terminate all audio if it's done AFTER a sound has already been played, but not if it occurs before (sample code is in SO post).
Apps were tested using an iPad 3 the Flex 4.6.0 SDK with AIR 4.0, and with AIR 14.0 - the same behaviour was exhibited.
This poses serious problems for our apps, which are already released and being updated for iOS 8, so please let me know if this is a known issue, and if not, whether you're able to confirm from your side.

My problem remains, though: in iOS 8, if I play a sound (via MP3, SWF, etc) and then check the mic, all further sound in the application stops indefinitely until I close/reopen the app. Since we need to record audio at various times in the app, this will cause a major problem for our users!

How to restore a deleted iOS Keynote file on iCloud?
Ok -- i screwed up.
heres my setup:
iPad 1 (iOS 5.01), iPhone 4 (iOS 5.01), MacBook Air Core i7 (10.7.2) <---- synched to -----> iCloud
I use Keynote daily and have presentations synched between all my devices. I accidently deleted a keynote file on my iPhone... and within minutes it was deleted on iCloud and my iPad.
I had a look on my MacBook Air to see if i could find anything in "~/Library/mobile documents/com~apple~Keynote/Documents" there was nothing to be found as expected. I even looked in "~/Library/mobile documents.deleted" -- but i couldn't even find this folder.
SO. Next Step. Restore from iPad backup.
My iPad backups occur everynight into iCloud. I tried to restore from the 3 backups stored in iCloud.
After restoring from the iPad backup -- i strarted up Keynote and briefly for about half a second, i could see the 2 deleted documents (greyed out)... but then they disappeared.
I even tried deleteing iCloud document synching immediately after the backup -- but then when i startup Keynote it says that that my documents have been moved to iCloud, which i can access after enabling iCloud. Duh. Hello. I want to restore the documents from the Backup.
I have spent 4-5 hours with some helful apple support guys -- but there seemed no solution to this problem.
1.WHat are my options?
2. Why can't i restore a Keynote file from my iPad backup (regardless if it was deleted in iCloud).
This is MAJOR bug with iCloud. And i need to get to the bottom of this with Apple.Your suggestion about Time Machine is noted -- and i think good advice for the future although i think most users would be rather confused on the usefuleness of Time Machine when dealing with iCloud synching with iOS devices.
Its far from obvious on how to access those iOS/iCloud synched documents on OS X Lion.
But the question remains: If a file is deleted in iCloud -- should you be able to restore it from an iPhone or iPad backup? -

Hey guys...so i updated my iPod Touch 4g to ios 6 and one of the options on what will happen if downloaded is Siri will work with it, and i cant figure out how to get her to work. i have researched about it and nothing really said. i know alot of others have this question also but any help is needed. i know alot of you are just going to say get an iphone or whatever but my mother said that i would need to pay for the cost of the phone and monthly cost because im a 6th grader. i have had a basic phone since 2nd grade though. but since im in 6th grade, i dont have a job, so thats not possible. and everyone please no rude comments because i know what it said so please be nice and help if you can. remember its about the Siri not iphone so thanks for the help guys!

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

In my case the Maps app disappeared. According to other posts in this forum you cannot delete a built-in app such as Maps but it has happened on my iPhone 3GS.
I'm running IOS 4.
MorrowIf you are unable to locate the Maps app you can still access it from the Spotlight search window. Just type in Maps, look for the familiar interstate 280 icon, tap there and you will enter the Maps app. This will work for you until you can locate the icon, which hopefully you will.
