HT6030 Apple Mail setup Issues. I have issues trying to use apple mail even after all updates and fixes. What else can i do to try and use it?
Does Anybody have issues setting up the mail accounts in apple Mail. I am trying to set up Google mail accounts and icloud account with no luck. All recent updates is done and still it does not setup. I have re-installed the OSX and still no luck.when it does accept the passwords it does not appear in the mail application so i can still not send and receive!!!!! PLEASE any help will be appreciated.
Have you Enabled Two Step Verification Recently with Gmail?

The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as Jabber Name/ID. (Google Run Jabber server).
Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another. (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

My Macbook is running so slow like it drives me crazy, it freezes up a lot either on the internet or offline as well. I Have a MacBook2,1 Intel Core 2 Duo processor speed 2.16 GHz. The hard drive has 160.04GB with 16.34GB available and the RAM is1GB DDR2 SDRAM 667MHr. I have tried using Disk Utility to repair permissions, I deleted a bunch of apps, I've done other maintenance and I don't know what else to do. I would really appreciate anyone that could help me figure what to do or show me where to go to fi d out what to do.
You might consider upgrading the RAM. 1GB is the bare minimum to run Mac OS X 10.6.8. See this page for RAM information for your Mac: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-2-duo-2.16-whit e-13-mid-2007-specs.html.
You are also running low on free disk space, so consider moving files over to an external drive or delete files you no longer need.
Also, please explain what "done other maintenance" involves. -
I purchased a used ipad 4th gen on ebay a few weeks ago. It has been working great but has now frozen up. I have reset it several times with no success. It will only go as far as showing the apple icon then no farther. Can anyone share some info with me ?? Thanks !

The wi-fi button on my iPad 2 is not functioning. I have tried resetting the network, worked for 5 minutes. Am not able to connect to internet to reset to factory. What else can I do?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I have tried and tried to update. I cleared almost all pictures, and deleted games. It still says the same thing. I still have 5gb. What else can I do?
Try this:
1. Backup iPad
2. Restore to Factory Default (Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings)
3. Update to IOS 7.0.4

All my photos in the iphoto have disappeared, not sure if this related to any iphoto upgrade or other issue, tried to find the photos through the finder (JPG or photo) but failed, can you help me to get back my photos please?

Downloaded fine but no matter what version I try downloading I seem to get message setup.xml could not be loaded. File corrupt? Help please am no techie and been on it all morning using vista home basic service pack 2 if it helps? Thanks.

Can apple help me find my iPod touch 5g??? I have already reported it to the police and they haven't called back, i also have the find my iPhone app in it but I don't have the location thingy turned on so what else can I do to locate it pleazz help this iPod is relly valuable to me I had gotten it for Christmas and now I proved that I can't be trusted with it HELP :c
Police don't "track down" lost items, per se. They'll keep your information on file in the event that someone finds your iPod and turns it in. Otherwise, there's nothing the police can or will do in regards to finding lost property.
Sorry, but your iPod is most likely gone for good.

For those with Issues with the Recent GB update... what you can do to help fix this...
I had my phone replaced by Verizon because the volume was ringing too low with disregard to the level it was set on... this happened immediately after the update and continued even with factory reset. Verizon sent me another one which is doing the same thing but with more issues which include the picture sending and now my mute button is missing when I receive calls. I am a business and cannot afford to miss a single call... especially as this is our slow time of year. To do your part to help push Samsung to send out a corrective update you need to contact them... I did this and a verizon rep told me to encourage this on these forums... here is the link http://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact# it will get you to their contact page and from there you select email under product support. The more of you that do this, the more they will realize there are several... some serious... issues with this update. Thank you and good luck... to all of us!!
I noticed with my Charge phone that when I get a call the FIRST ring is highly muted (quite soft) and then all rings after that are full volume.
I wish that even the first ring was load (full volume) but I accept the fact that that is how GB 2.3.6 works. Anyone know how to change this?
