HT6061 Where can you get a replacement 512 SSD drive for these? Can you get one directly from Apple?

Looking to purchase the original 512 ssd drive that comes in the late 2013 mac pros.. i cant find anywhere online but Ebay to buy one from. Are they available directly from Apple?

Apple does not sell the SSD parts separately to my knowledge. If your SSD is defective and was an original Apple item, any Apple Store or authorized Apple service provider can replace it. They won't sell you the part so you can do your own repair, though.
Why would you need to replace yours when your Mac is still in warranty? Are you trying to upgrade? If so, I don't know of any available as of this time, though OWC says they'll have SSD upgrades for the 2013 MP later this year.

Buy it from an Apple Retail Store or Apple Online or through an approved Carrier.

Will this replacement program restore my system to its current state after the new drive is installed? If not, will I have to have all my original disks to re-install all the programs on my current computer, or will Time Machine restore them as well?

Most of them will tell you to backup your data.
Time Machine is nice, but unless you are interested in archival backup, Carbon Copy Cloner is a lot easier to recover from:

Wow that looks like a piece of junk. You get what you pay for, and that goes for driver support as well. If you bought a NI CAN device or XNET you'd have all kinds of support from this forum trying to help you out. Heck even a Vector device has some love on this forum. And Intrepid has drivers for their hardware in LabVIEW...it needs some attention but it exists.
I say read the documentation, write a set of VIs to talk to the device, and post here if you have any general questions about writing drivers.

How can I get a replacement internal DVD drive?

I bought a refurbished Toshiba P55t-A5202 a few months ago. The internal DVD drive seems to be failing and doesn't always recognize dual-layer DVDs. Some DVDs recognize and play fine. Others aren't even detected and the system thinks no disk is in the drive. I would like to replace the opical drive. I am comforable opening up the sytem and swapping the drive, I just don't know where to buy the replacement part.
Does anyone know who to contact about getting a replacement internal DVD drive?

Apple may not have the replacement discs at this point, but it's worth a try. You could try giving Apple a call and see if they have them available. If they do, they will send them to you for a fee.

I've always had the theory that if you put two computer power cords in a drawer they will breed and you'll end up with a lot more! My parts drawer is always full of them. They like to knot up by themselves as well! Maybe that's how they breed.

Hello, your best bet would be to clone your drive to an external drive, which will be bootable.
Get carbon copy cloner to make an exact copy of your old HD to the New one...

The very first MacBook 1,1s can actually run 10.6, which is updatable to 10.6.8, but will only run in 32 bit mode on yours.

Where can I download Intel (R) Display Audio driver for HP Compaq L2206tm?

Hi,
I am using an Elitebook 820G1 with an external monitor HP Compaq L2206tm.
The monitor is also not showing up in Sounds>Playback as of now.
But when it does show up in Sounds, it can play sound from the laptop.
Problem is sometimes after reboot or wake up from sleep, the monitor drops off from the Sounds panel.
I tried uninstalling Intel (R) display audio driver from Device Manager, and then do a scan for hardware changes to reintall the driver, I get a message "Device driver software was successfully installed."
May I know where can I download Intel (R) display audio driver for HP Compaq L2206tm / Elitebook 820G1?
And what can I do to keep the monitor stay on the Sounds panel?
Please help, I have googled endless with no results.

Call Apple technical support. They can probably sell you a new set of the original disks for a reasonable fee, if your iMac did come with installation disks (Macs that shipped with OS X 10.7 or 10.8 did not come with disks).

Why does it matter if it a scam????? I'll let you figure that out by yourself. If I'm going to replace it, why should I be contempt with a battery that I have to replace within months (as stated by some people in the comments). The issue here is not if I should or not replace it OBVIOUSLY I'm going to have to before it starts going crazy. The underlying issue is why is the replacement battery for a lack of better words " a bit crap." It comes with a 3 month guarantee?? Is that a joke?!??!?! Sure-glad to help you. You will not lose any data by changing synching to MacBook Pro from imac. You have set up Time Machine, right? that's how you'd do your backup, so I was told, and how I do my backup on my mac. You should be able to set a password for it. Save it. Your stuff should be saved there. So if you want to make your MacBook Pro your primary computer, I suppose, back up your stuff with Time machine, turn off Time machine on the iMac, turn it on on the new MacBook Pro, select the hard drive in your Time Capsule, enter your password, and do a backup from there. It might work, and it might take a while, but it should go. As for clogging the hard drive, I can't say. Depends how much stuff you have, and the hard drive's capacity. As for moving syncing from your iMac to your macbook pro, should be the same. Your phone uses iTunes to sync and so that data should be in the cloud. You can move your iTunes Library to your new Macbook pro

time machine is an application, and should be found in the Applications folder. it is built in to OS X, so there is nothing else to buy. double click on it, get it going, choose the Hard drive in your Time capsule/Airport as your backup Time Machine and go for it. You should see a circle with an arrow on the top right hand of your screen (the Desktop), next to the bluetooth icon, and just after the wifi and eject key (looks sorta like a clock face). This will do automatic backups of your stuff.

I just upgraded from IPhoto7 to 9.5. Now I can't open iPhoto without a downloaded tool to bridge the gap bewteen versions. I downloaded the tool and I still get the message "To prepare the library, use the iPhoto Library Upgrader available from Apple."

I had to upgrade to Mavericks to send off the iCanendars I made in iPhoto. Then I had to upgrade my IPhoto from 7 to 9.5. Now when I go to open iPhoto I get the message "To prepare the library, use the iPhoto Library Upgrader available from Apple." Well, I installed the Upgrader, but I still get the message and can't open iPhoto. I have tried restarting the computer, but that didn't help. How do I get the computer to recognize the Upgrader?
