I have a router downstairs in my house. When i go downstairs, i have internet. But when i go back upstairs, i lose my internet and my ipod cant connect to the internet untill i go back downstairs. Can someone help me with this dalema?
Have the same problem with one room in my house. The good news; my internet provider told me about a device which boosts the signal through the the houses wiring. You plug the sender into an electrical outlet and your USB output, the receiver / transmitter you plug into an outlet in the room with the poor signal and use Wi-Fi as always. It priced in around $30 to $40. The bad news; I just don't remember what it was called, but I'm sure if contact your provider or local electronics store, discribe what your looking for they can hook you up with the needed hardware. I recently deleted two albums off of my phone using itunes, but when i went back onto my phone, they were still there and playable. they are not songs that I have purchased via itunes so can someone please help me figure out what is wrong so that i can fix the problem

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

"Ipod Cannot Be Updated, The File Required Is Missing" - Can someone help?
I just got this error today and its bugging me.
Whenever I try to update my ipod it gives me a new window saying "IPOD (name) cannot be updated, the file required is missing."
ummm I thought maybe if i restored my ipod the file would be restored too but that didnt work....
After i restored it, the itunes library updated my ipod with all my original playlists and videos, but now when i try to update it and sync my pictures to it or create new playlists, it gives me that message.
Can anyone give me some advice on what i can do to fix this problem? i do have the iTunes 7.01 my ipod is the 60G Ipod Video (White)

Whatever it is that you're trying to put into your iPod... make sure that the file is located in your "My Music" file first.
Basically, when you get that message double check and if what you selected isn't in "My Music" drag and drop into it and try again.

I believe my computer may have a virus. Can someone help?
Lately ive been worried that my MacBook pro has a virus. Today i went to "Finder" and saw that i had shared files going--ive never shared any files. The location says "Neighborhood". Also, i went to my activity monitor and saw that there was a file called "disnoted" runnnig and it was by the user "damian". My name is not Damian and i have no idea who it could be. It wont let me stop the process either. Ive tried many times and it hasnt worked. I also see an "activitymonitord" is running from "root" what is that? Any help on this would be great. Im quite worried about the security of my computer now. Please tell me what this means and if it is a virus, how i can remove it. Ive suplied pictures aswell. Thank you.

I don't what happen, but when I got my new computer with the Windows 8 it synched my 4S just fine. Now it keeps saying that the "USB device not recognized." And it won't even connect with itunes.

If nothing helped, repair permissions.
Disconnect the iPhone.
On your Mac open Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Then select: Repair Disk Permissions
This process can take a few minutes.
When it's done, restart your Mac and connect the iPhone.
If that doesn't help, reset the PRAM > About NVRAM and PRAM -

What have you tried, and what did Apple tell you ?
Is there a lock symbol at the top of the screen next to the battery indicator ? If there is, then depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (rotation lock or mute notifications), then you can lock/unlock the rotation by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). If there isn't a lock symbol then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
Since itunes and apple tvs latest update I have had problem wtching movies on apple tv via my itunes can any one help, movie takes a very long time to load sometimes never, it use to work really well, whats going on please help?

final cut pro x - lion - mbp 2011 2.0 15 - not responding at all since latest update. Can't open or edit projects, loading window that pops us when you click the app (as it loads) does not go away, says loading compressor support, paralyzed. Have tried reinstalling, default settings etc

Have lost Hotmail since latest update
Since latest update cannot open Hotmail ,screen is blank apart from send ,reply icons etc along top of screen.
mail is coming in number of mails goes up on mail icon but can't access .There are several possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps until it's resolved.
1. Follow the instructions in this support article.
2. Reset the System Management Controller.
3. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
4. A swollen battery in a MacBook Pro or Air can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced.
5. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built in trackpad of a MacBook to behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
6. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
7. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
8. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested. -
since latest update to airport extreme im getting 10 unknown base stations and time caps showing up as though they are a part of my network. sometimes i can "forget" them and they will disappear initially but soon return. i need and want only my connection inside my home . any ideas. i have done a factory reset and set up a new network but they continue to show up.
I'm not convinced that the problem lies in Airport Utility. This same thing was happening to me, nearly exactly as you describe it. The thing is that with me, the problems clearly started when I updated the firmware in my Airport Express (n). That's when all the wacky stuff started happening. Sometimes it would show up in AU, sometimes it didn't and even if it didn't, I could still access the internet through it.
But as you said, the problems got really bad when another Express (b/g) was put on the network with it. Even when it did work, the (b/g) would make it impossibly slow.
You know more about this than me, and clearly have more patience if you've restarted the network fifty times. I gave up at about ten.
In any case, your solution is more of a work around and if you're still having that slow connection problem, I'm not sure you've got it. But thanks for your reporting of this. At least I know I'm not crazy. -
My Windows XP and Windows 7 iTunes no longer 'see' my AppleTV since latest update (25/02/2013). Also, my AppleTV tells me I must turn on Home Sharing which is already turned on. I have the little arrow that normally selects my AppleTV in iTunes but AppleTV is no longer listed (only My Computer). Is there an issue with the latest update. This is probably my fault by telling everyone how good AppleTV is and that it just works! Doesn't work any more :-( I have tried all the usual restarting of AppleTV and PCs. I'm having to revert back to the Samsung Blu-ray player's PC sharing :-(

Can't Convert Selection For iPod.
