Yes this is fairly normal. When you have wifi on the phone, it drains the battery life of the device.

Have a problem with Lightroom 5.4. Since the program crashed yesterday it won't launch, it comes up with the message "Lightroom encountered an error when reading its preview cache and needs to quit". " Lightroom will attempt to fix this problem next time it launches". Except that it doesn't, I keep getting the same message and the program closes. Does anyone know what I can do to repair it? Dear Apple. I have just installed Windows 7 64-bit full version Home Premium using Bootcamp and cannot get access to the internet. I installed on a Macbook Air Mid 2012 with Mountain Lion. Are there some drivers that are missing from the Windows 7 bootcamp install download from Apple
It is a Total Misconception that the Support files are installed when you are installing Windows, even if the USB drive that holds them is inserted in the system when doing the Windows install.
You must always Run the Setup.exe files from the support files or run the drivers individually once Windows has finished installing and booted to the desktop.
Also you really need to run the Boot Camp Control Panel Applet and check for updates as not all the newest drivers for full function of all the hardware is included with the original support download. That download is basically a generic version to get the system working and without doing the updates not everything will work properly. -
Problem with "other" part of the flash storage in a new macbook air
I just bought a new Macbook Air and I have a problem with my flash drive storage. The "Other" part takes 46GB out of my 120. I only have photos, music and documents on my computer, and I installed Microsoft Office. Any advice as to how to reduce this totally unproportionate "other" storage?

My iPad mini won't play my synced music. I have tried all the suggestions on the forum, but it still does not work. Also it crashes on the selected song selected. I have never had a problem with my other iPad or MacBook.

I keep getting notified I have an update available but when I try to update I get the following msg ,"You have updates available for other accounts To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it.". I only have one account with apple and the software was preinstalled when I purchased my macbook in Aug 2012 with that account. Has anyone had this problem or know how to find out what account apple needs?
You log into the App store using the same Apple ID you used to set the computer up, verify that none of your apps are hidden and that they have all be accepted and then download and install the update

Problems with my external USB 3.0 (Toshiba) hard drive and Macbook Air 2012
I can't seem to get any help on this from Apple and I am tired of ti I have a new Macbook Air 2012 model and have several Toshiba external USB 3.0 drives. I did the Mountain Lion App Store 10.8.2 update and all of a sudden non of my drives are mountable or accessible. I've been in IT 16 years and have never seen anything like this. The drives are physically fine and I can see the mapped partitions on a Windows 7 machine just fine and even use HFS Explorer to view the directory structures. The data on these drives is extremely important to not only me, but also the DoD who I am working with on a major project. Now I can't get to my documents to edit them or pull down the virtual machines I setup for my labs.
I've done all sorts of research and googled myself to death. I even foudn the "missing because Apple pulled" 2.0 update to try and fix this issue. Whatever was done with ML 10.8.2 on these notebooks renders the USB ports useless. Does anyone have a solution to getting these drives to mount?I have the same issue.
I have two disks HDTC720XK3C1 (Portable Toshiba Hard Disk, USB 3.0 + 2.0, 2.0 TB). Purchased on the same date and same model. One inexplicably stopped working.
When i connect the drive, the systems show an message that say:
"You need format the drive <x> before can you use it
Do you want to format it"

Question for the group: These devices seem not very reliable ? this type of error the warranty covers? Sugestions ?
i think, that a backup tool should be secure. This is the 7th time I use it and the data is completely lost. Opinions?

Problems installing Mavericks on Macbook Air 2015
I have created a bootable installer for Mavericks but I cannot get a new Macbook Air early 2015 to install. I have tried three different brands of USB drives and also tried with SD card. They work on a MBP I have but not on two different Macbook Air's I just purchased. I hold down alt (Option) and turn the machine on, it sees the USB but when you click on it to boot I just get a no symbol (circle with slash) and the computer turns off. I have tried erasing the hard drive, same result. I have created the USB installer on the MBA and on another MBP still same result. Any ideas?
The computer either requires Yosemite or a specialized version of Mavericks. If the new MBAs came with Yosemite installed, then you cannot install an earlier version of OS X.

Thanks Samthing is though when i plug it into pc it says its charging but wont connect to itunes even if i try reset with home and power button the image about is what im getting with no charger connected and just the little symbol on right when charger connect but it won't switch on or connect to itunes i did restore + update phone before battery cut off but before it did this the phone kept on restarting and once i got it connected to itunes it said iphone in recovery mode so i did as stated now it still wont work.
what would apple do about this and is it a common fault ?? thanks -
I have tried to solve this problem myself, by checking the cookies settings and staff. Everything seems to be ok. But it isn't.
Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you -
