Since I upgraded to Maverick 10.9 and 10.9.2, Adobe reader 9 is not working. I tried to upate Adobe reader, but the update gives me an error.

What exactly means "refuses"?
This is the message which comes up if I try to update (from the Help menu) or re-install my licenced copies of CS6 or Photoshop Elements 9.
“We've encountered the following issues
Installer failed to initialize.Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem”

on trying to open PhotoshopCS6 I get this message:-
“Adobe Application Manager required to start your trial, is missing or damaged.

When I follow these instructions and try and start up/install or update Photoshop CS6 I get the same messages all over again. This has been going on since Tuesday afternoon and I am anxiuous to resolve the problem. For several years now all this has worked perfectly through your website and I cannot understand what has changed. Once I cancel these messages the products themselves seem to function OK. When I attempt to use Adobe Update Manager I get the same messages as above. You will see that my products are properly licensed and up to date. Have you any solution?

Adobe Illustrator refuses to work

says that "instruction at "0х0060f401" referenced memory at "0хfffffffc" memory could not be read".
For example, if i load Photoshop, then Illustrator by no means run (says Unable to complete the requested operation - when a window have already opened, palettes appeared e.t.c.).
Also by an educated guess it was found that Illustrator does not want to run without running Adobe Type Manager. Playing with a fonts came to the conclusion that the case may be in it, but do not understand which exactly are a cause of failure.
Summary: I have Illustrator on my computer that runs every other time and i cannot figure out why this happens!

Around the same thing happened. I forced to kill all the prefs before starting. Thought about this, can be a buggy fonts the cause? Came to the conclusion that Illustrator runs in a Random order.. Try to disable a half of the fonts. If everything is ok, it is clear that the buggy are in the disabled half of the fonts. Then take a half of that half and look again. And so long as "half" will be equal to one font - this font is a culprit of the bug. It helps, but not much.
A smart tool can help. Unfortunately not every helps, especially free ones heard this is not bad and can recover AI itself, not only a files. Recovery Toolbox for Illustrator https://illustrator.recoverytoolbox.com/ but i'm not sure, read closely about it.
One of the radical solutions. Reinstalling of the system with the disk formatting. Reinstall CS without ATM, extra. fonts, plug-ins. If it starts without any problem - good. If not - change a distribution.
P.S. Maybe the problem is in your hardware?

Go to Tools|Options|Applications. The first 4 entries relate to Adobe. Make sure that the association is for your 9.1 version. If it's not, click the association that is showing. You will get a downward pointing triangle at the right. Click on it and see if 9.1 is listed. If so, select it. Do the same for the other Adobe items.
You might also want to check "Folder Options" in the Windows Control Panel. In the "File Types" tab you will find all of the file extensions and the programs they are associated with. Scroll down to the PDF extension and insure it's associated with an "Adobe Acrobat Document. If not, click on the <change> button and find adobe in the program list.
Just to let you know, Adobe Reader is now up to version 9.4. You can go to Adobe's website to download the latest.

The current version of iPhoto for Mavericks is version 9.5.1. You need to update iPhoto to that version.

Why won't ARD admin work now?

So I got my new Airport Extreme today and set it up with a NewerTech miniStack USB drive to share on the network at my house. It works great and I was happy - right up until I launched ARD 3.1 and get a "VNC On" for all of my servers (all 12 of them) that are at my office. With my old snow Airport Basestation, I had no problem using ARD to access my office servers. What's different with this new one?

I'm seeing the same kind of activity with ARD 3.1 as well. All of the clients show up in the list, however they all have a status of "VNC On". It won't allow me to perform any of the other tasks outside of Control & Observe so long as they have that status..
Anyone have any better luck? Port Triggering somewhere? I need this to work!

Why isn't photo booth working now?

I just bought my computer last night and everything worked fine. This morning I went to open photo booth, and it opens with a black screen, a camera with a line through it, and i cant take pictures. All my software is updated. Thanks in advance!

Why does my keyboard not work in texting mode??

Please help... Im wondering why my iphone does not work now if someone texts me I cant get the keyboard to pop up so I can reply. So if I draft a new text the keyboard comes up but the (spacebar) row does not work. Anybody else have this problem. I just got the phone at the begining of Oct of this year.

I am now having this same issue (lack of a keyboard when reply texting and the 'space bar' 'return' and '.?123' not working when trying to create a new text). This seems to have started since the latest update to v 1.1.3. I have tried to reboot using the wake/home key combination and I have done a complete restore but still having the issue. Suggestions??

Adobe suddenly will not work

Adobe Reader will not work now. It will not let me delete files and will not recognize programs I am downloading in PDF format. It worked last week but not now. What happened ? Btw I can install,uninstall and delete and download other file types so this is so with.

Why does Adobe sendnow work and the newest and greatest Adobe Send does not work? I wasted about 8 hours on trying to get Adobe Send to upload 269 files that amounted to 469MB. When it did not work I made a zip file and after a lot of wasted run time that did not work. The first situation gives little indication of when a file is loaded compared to Adobe SendNow. In both cases with Send it failed with a message like only the first 50 can be loaded. When I went and looked none of them had been loaded. With the zip file (I wanted to hide the individual files so they would not be counted) it appeared to work but very slowly and finally said it was done and I went and looked and it had done anything for oever 2 hours except a false "I'm runninng" indication.
Thus, I took a chance with Adobe SendNow and it works great. It never gave me a limit on the amount of files nor on the size of the complete job. It shows me one file at a time when it has finished with the file uploading it. SendNow has never given me any problems.
Why woiuld you want to change the program from SendNow to Send without the newest program being the best, fastest, user friendly program of the two? It just doesn't make sense to me. I suggest that Adobe keep SendNow working until Send is fixed. I would also suggest that SendNow and how it looks be kept, called Send, then modify Send one thing at a time until you get it to the point you need it to be for Acrobat. I have heard nothing good and now I have experienced it that Send is a piece of junk. I wasted most of my work day on giving Adobe the benefit of the doubt to find out I made a very bad decision to trust Adobe to make good decisions on the transfer of a function to another place .... both Adobe's responsibility.without making it painless for your customers that totally rely on you. Don't throw away customer confidence as it is very hard to get it back.

Yep! Verizon living up to it's contractual obligations by not releasing updates. Caveat emptor!
I think there are some reasonable expectations here to keep customer's happy. When one carrier offers upgrades there is an expectation the same will happen across all the carriers. We have seen that except Big Red.
Verizon could have said the update is in MS court months ago and stilled the voice of the disgruntled, or at least redirected it, but instead chose to be silent. Not for market share but for partial blame I think.
We will have to agree to disagree since you only see Terms & Conditions and I, see customer satisfaction.

If you can't install or update Flash, follow these instructions.

Why does everyone at my work loose their internet connection when I update Adobe Cloud Products? We are on a 20mb broadband connection and there is around 20 people using computers at my work but when I start my Adobe Cloud Product update or when I try and download my Adobe Cloud Product everyone at my work looses their internet connection and so do I. But the update keeps downloading and installing.

I am sorry FooWingLi but the difficulties you are describing sounds more like a local network configuration issue. I would recommend working with your I.T. department to investigate this matter.
