The instructions are in that link. Just follow them VERY CAREFULLY. Especially the part about:
Turn off your device and leave it off.
Plug in your device's USB cable to a computer with iTunes. [but DON'T connect it to the iPhone yet]
Hold down the Home button on your device as you connect the USB cable. Keep holding down the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
When you see the iTunes screen, release the Home button. If you don't see this screen, try steps 1 through 3 again.
When your device is connected, iTunes will open. You'll see a message saying that iTunes has detected an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in recovery mode.
Hold down the Home button on your device as you connect the USB cable. Keep holding down the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen. -
hey guys i forgot the password for my iphone 4S and i keep on trying any passwords but now my iphone has deactivated it self and its asking me the password but i cant remember it and i dont have the last compter it syniced with!!! so what should i do ?
In your case your only solution is to restore it ( see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 ) and you may need to force it into restore mode to do that. This will wipe everything off it and reset it as new, without the passcode. You can then redownload purchased content, buy unless you have a sync'd copy of your contacts and photo's they will be gone.

Hopefully you had it backed up on icloud on or your computer. Try doing a restore by putting your phone in recovery mode then restoring your back up.

The only way to reset the passcode lock is by restoring the iPhone. Apple provides two options for maintaining a backup for the iPhone - with iTunes on your computer which is updated as the first step during the iTunes sync process or it can be done manually without syncing. The other way is wirelessly with an Apple iCloud account. The password for the Passcode Lock is not included with the backup so you can restore from the most recent backup. -
