That's not a feature of the iPhone. You would have to route your calls through a 3rd party service to do so.

You can't; not natively, anyway, since the iPad is not a phone. If you want to make a call, you'll need to use some third-party Voice-Over-IP service such as Skype.
I'm not sure what you're asking when you ask about sending a message. If you mean a text message, you can either use iMessage, which can send messages to other users also running iMessage, or you can look in the iTunes Store for SMS apps, a few of which are available. They use separate services to actually send the message and so require an Internet connection, either WiFi or 3G.

i dont know is this the issue with lates firmware v20, but i noticed somehing that is quite annoying.
after i recieve phone call, and if phone is locked, i open slider, talk, finish call, and then phona auomatically locks.
is there a way to make it stay unlocked. because if after call i want to check something in phone i need to slide it close, and then open again, witch is annoying.

ps. same thing happens with bult in lock system, and with best keylocker application.
so i guess it is firmware feature (or maybe bug)

Unwanted phone calls

I have been getting requests from unknown people for some time, mainly woman with exotic names, that I have always blocked. Since a couple of days I keep receiving phone calls from unknown people with similar exotic names. Today it happened twice. I don't want this, how can I avoid these calls?

To avoid receiving any calls like this, you can adjust your privacy to, Change Allow calls from... "anyone" to "people on my Contact list" only.

How to make a phone call

All I want to do is make a phone call but I do not know how to get to a screen that allows me to make a phone call. I am not trying to do anything fancy. I just want to be able to dial a number and click a phone icon, but I am unable to find any way to get to a screen that lets me do it. I have already bought an unlimited subscription. It seems impossible to get skype to actually let me make a phone call. There is no screen where the activity being performed is making a phone call. ????? There is also no instruction about this anywhere in the help menu. Is this a scam or is it possible to make an actual phone call?

I am not able to save phone call logs as it is getting automatic deleted so plz give some suggestion to save all call logs

Phone > Recents or check your account online with your carrier.
Note, Recents is limited to 100 calls exactly. No way to change that.
You can delete recent calls you don't care about to keep the list from filling up. Swipe across the call and press the Delete button or use the Edit button, top right.

E71 - How to lock the phone autoamtically?

I have annoying problem with E71. Is it possible to automaticaly lock the phone?
Now if I want to lock the phone I have to press upper red key and select " lock the phone" option and then I have to enter 5 pass diggits to lock the phone.
My last phone was Samasung phone and this option was avaiable.. so I'm trying now to find this ability in my new faviorite E71

Try the following settings:
Tools --> Settings --> General --> Security --> Phone and SIM card -->
- Keypad autolock period
and
- Phone autolock period
My previous phones:
6310i --> SE K750i --> E50 --> E61i --> E71
... much prefer the Nokia phones, especially the E71
