HT6572 Bluetooth connectivity fixed in 10.10.1?

Wondering if Bluetooth connectivity and performance is fixed in OS X Yosemite 10.10.1? I still have issues before updating that include my apple keyboard + magic Trackpad randomly disconnecting, input lag, and disappearing profiles in the bluetooth preference pane.
My machine is a late 2012 Macbook Pro Retina 15". I use it in clamshell mode connected to an external display via a thunderbolt to HDMI adapter.
I occasionally run the machine open in this configuration, with the power cable detached in order to power cycle the battery, as I've heard it is bad to leave the power cable always connected. The Bluetooth issues are more prevalent when operating on battery power for the macbook pro.

I'm having issues now after the update with my Magic mouse that I never experienced before. It seems if now when I put my laptop to sleep (ex. close lid or just timeout) when I re-open or start my laptop I have no connection to the paired mouse. The little green light on the bottom of the mouse blinks twice real fast.
Now the only way I can restore mouse function is to remove it from the bluetooth profile, wait til it sees it when searching and re-pair the mouse.
This is very annoying and frustrating as sometimes it will not find the mouse when searching for bluetooth devices until I restart my computer. I really hope they fix this soon as it occurs everyday now.

  • Motorola RAZR v3i - Bluetooth connection fixed in 10.4.7 ???

I bought a Motorola v3i (firmware version R479G08.B4.34R) some weeks ago. I was not able to create a connection via bluetooth with my Powerbook (Mac OS X 10.4.6). After some days I gave the v3i back to the dealer, because it was useless for me. Does someone know if the bluetooth connection is fixed in Mac OS X 10.4.7 ??? Please let me know your v3i firmware version in your answer. Thanks!

I have a V3i with the exact same firmware, and prior to the 10.4.7 update could only pair my phone via bluetooth but not use any services. Since the update I can sync, file transfer and connect to the internet all via bluetooth. Seems someone has sorted something out somewhere. Hope this helps.

  • Soundlink Bluetooth Connection Fix Found

For all you Soundlink owners who can't pair with your iphone Bose has released a software update. You'll have to connect your Soundlink via usb to your computer and got to site owners.bose.com/soundlinkmobile and then visit Bose system update center. I just went through the process and works great. PS if you can't get to a comp you can hold down the bluetooth button on the Soundlink 10 sec and then the mute button for 10 secs then you should be able to pair. Cheers PSS iPad 1 will not pair with soundlink - doesn't have firmware if you're trying...

FYI. I have a iPad I and I was able to get it to pair with the soundlink.  I did have to hold the Bluetooth button down until it paired.   One issue is I now have to do that everytime I want to switch between my I phone and iPad.

  • I can't connect my I-Phone 6 to my car Bluetooth, any fixes yet?

I can't connect my I-Phone 6 to my car Bluetooth, any fixes yet? I just updated with the new update this morning. My I-Phone 5s had no problem connecting to car Bluetooth.

    Hi Denisefromjoetowm,
When you attempt to connect your iPhone 6 to your car via Bluetooth, how far does it get?
Glad you updated your iPhone.  There are other things to test for, see:

  • Possible fix for car unit Bluetooth connectivity problems (it fixed mine)

Ok, I understand this only fixed my particular problem, so it may not work with every Bluetooth head unit.
I have a Pioneer deh-p7000bt and it worked beautifully with my iPhone 3GS.
Once I got my iPhone 4 I restored it from a backup of my 3GS. I had continual problems. I synced it and it would disconnect within minutes. This would happen everyday so I just gave up.
Yesterday I was playing around with my head unit. I DELETED any previously synced phones from my head unit. I also told my iPhone to forget my head unit. After deleting any traces of my older iPhone and new iPhone, I resynced my iPhone 4.
This time it stayed connected and reconnected automatically even after rebooting and restarting my car. Problem solved.
It may have something to do with the head unit being confused about the iPhone hardware.... Possibly from restoring it from a backup of the previous phone you had already synced to the unit.
Try this, it worked for me. Maybe it won't work for you.
    Thanks,
    John

I too have had problems with Bluetooth connectivity, with my wife's IPhone 5C, since updating to IOS 8 and now 8.02.  I have a 2013 Honda Accord with factory updated firmware.  Everything worked flawlessly before the IPhone update, but now the phone will connect to the car but I get error messages saying the contact list cannot be imported. I deleted everything, started over, still does not work.  I also have a Motorola Moto X with the latest Android build and Bluetooth connects automatically, works flawlessly and the contact list always imports when I enter the car, so it is definitely not a problem with the car's system.  I thought Apple products were superior to all else... I will be switching my wife to an Android phone if Apple continues to ignore the problem.  She needs this to work for safety reasons, since she works out of the car.

  • New OS to Fix Bluetooth Connectivity?

Is there a new OS that will fix the Bluetooth Connectivity issue?

There is no "bluetooth connectivity issue". Get out the manual for your car. If it was previously paired, delete the pairing from both the car and the phone and re-boot both. Then, re-pair them.
Try pairing the phone with another hands free device. If that works, and you still can't pair it with the car, go see your dealer.

  • Is there any fix for the bluetooth connectivity issue after most recent OS update?

Seems to be a common problem particularly with bluetooth headseat connectivity. Any ideas?

There is no bluetooth connectivity issue after the recent OS update. There may be a problem with your phone, which may or may not be related to the update. A "common problem" looks like this in the forums:
I haven't seen any threads on BlueTooth with over 1.4 million views and over 12,000 replies, or even any vaguely close. For any problem that someone has there is bound to be someone else amoung 150 million users who have it. That doesn't make it a "common problem."
If you tell us what the problem is specifically and what you have done so far to try to resolve it someone can probably help you.

  • Nokia C5-03/Win7 Bluetooth connectivity problem

When I am trying to connect Nokia Ovi Suite to my phone using Bluetooth, the pairing process seems to succeed, except the last phase: Then I receive a message that the connection did not succeed. The wizard gives then a possibility to try again with a different ID but it fails every time.
It is the same problem if I try to pair the phone from computer's Bluetooth icon in the notification area. However, with using my laptop with XP this succeeds. Therefore I believe that my phone is OK but there is something wrong with my Bluetooth software in Win 7 computer. Nokia Ovi Suite lists it:
    - Microsoft (Version: 6.1.7600, subversion: 16385)
When I start the computer, the Event Viewer shows the following error:
"The Bluetooth driver expected an HCI event with a certain size but did not receive it."
    Source: BTHUSB
    EventID: 5
The Microsoft's "Event Log Online Help" onthat window does not suggest anything.
However, this may be the actual reason for the problems but I do not know how to fix it.
I have tried Microsoft's "Fix it" tool but it did not fix this problem.
    Any ideas what to do?

    Still the same problem.
Now I installed the Nokia PC Suite and I tried to make a bluetooth connection to it.
Everything goes again well except after the last phase when I give the asked pin number in my phone, the computer ponders a while and shows then a window with the text that the phone cannot be verified.

  • Ios 5.0.1 + Iphone 4 bluetooth connection issue with car stereo

My Iphone 4 will not connect with my new JVC car stereo I have spoken to JVC customer support and they say its an Apple issue that they need to fix (changed something with the bluetooth connection scripts in the latest update update, as they have done before).
The phone finds the stereo and then tries to pair with it, however half way through the pairing process the phone losses connection with the stereo and the pairing is then deleted.
I have deleted all the existing pairing in the phone memory and ensured that the stereo has been rebooted to ensure no conflict of previous installs would effect the process
Does anyone know if Apple are going to fix this glitch in a new softwre update (and if so when is it being released) as at the minute i have an expensive stereo which is cant use to its full ability?

Similar problems occured when Apple released iOS 4 last year. It was NOT fixed with an update from Apple. It was fixed by the system vendors and automakers releasing updates for their equipment. There are ongoing complaints from people with some Toyota built cars (Toyota and Lexus) with some systems as well as some BMW drivers.
I'm willing to bet money that the head unit you have is not fully standards compliant. Unfortunately, getting JVC to admit that is going to be nearly impossible. I suspect they will just quietly issue an update sometime in the next few months. Assuming the head unit can be updated by the end user at all.  You may have to resort to an inexpensive visor mount speaker phone in the mean-time.

  • MacBook Pro dropping bluetooth connection with HP Officejet 100

I've recently started developing problems with my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.7.4) maintaining a bluetooth connection with my HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer.
The problem I'm seeing is that when I send something to the printer, everything starts out okay, but then after about 10 seconds, the bluetooth icon in my status bar indicates that it is no longer connected.     The printer pauses for a minute or so and then spits out the half-printed page.
Anybody else seeing this?   Any suggestions on how to fix?

I have a similar issue, albeit a different bluetooth printer from yours.
According to a review on CNET's website, the dropping of bluetooth connections seems to have been introduced in the 10.7.4 update and did not exist in the 10.7.3 version of the Mac OS X Lion software.

  • NclBCBTSrv hangs, prevents bluetooth connection?

I have had problem for years that my bluetooth connection with Nokia PC suite stops working after a couple of days. So far the only solution has been to reboot the computer.
Recently I discovered that NclBCBTSrv.exe was using over 250MB of memory so I killed it. After that it was automatically restarted and PC suite started syncing again.
Is this a known bug? Has anyone else seen this?
I have WIn XP SP3 with all hotfixes from MS, Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1
    Bluetooth from BroadCom v 2.1.92.108

Sure. NclBCBTSrv.exe is a background process for detecting bt connection. There're also two others: one for cable connection and another for IRDA connection.
You can try to upgrade the blooth driver or re-install pc suite to fix.
What's the law of the jungle?
