  • I cant figure out why my HTC Droid DNA is no longer recognized by my computer when i hook it up with the USB cable that came with the phone.

I used to be able to just plug in my phone with the USB cable to my Windows 7 computer and browse phone storage with no issues. Now my computer sees it as an android phone but when it tries to automatically install the drivers for my phone on the computer, i get an access denied error message. No option on the phone that i can see that allows me to mount phone as a usb drive. This used to work just fine with nothing more than just hooking up the cable. What gives??

Let's get that access granted again, e_rock_b. The HTC DNA doesn't have a special USB Mass Storage Mode that needs to be turned on. Usually, it's as simple as connecting and browsing http://vz.to/1jktbZD as you mentioned. If your computer is no longer allowing that easy access, try the steps at http://vz.to/1jktvr6.

  • How to make mac address gmail contacts overwrite the ones on my HTC Android phone - I don't want to sync - that makes the phone scramble and overwrite my computer.  I want to remove or correctly overwrite the phone information as I have done with iPad.

Please help - I am beginning to hate google, my android and gmail.  I have just wasted about 5 hours in a futile attempt to try and get my current Mac contacts list on my computer updated to my phone. I'm not that computer literate but I have looked up about google phone accounts, vCards, backing up contact lists, what SD on phones are, and God know what else.  I have searched the internet and tried all sorts of things and I still have a mac with a now correct contact list (after the iPad contacts scrambled it and I spent ages manually correcting them all) and a phone with an outdated contact list.  If you try and sync them the phone wants to overwrite the computer one just like the iPad did (would it be so **** hard to give you a choice on the phone as to which overwrites which!).  After all the  advice on the internet failed, I got the bright idea to completely delete all the ones on the phone and if it was empty of contacts the computer one could be exported to it.  Not as simple as it sounds.  First I backed up (I think) my computer contacts list. Numerous futile attempts to go through the phone options to globally delete all contacts did not work - they gave a warning message and you got to choose whether to continue or not, I did, and it looked like it might be working as it changed to zero data on the phone, but then they all popped back up again from God knows where from, but without their little added bits like pictures of the people.  So, I tried un- syncing the darn phone from  google and then deleting them globally.  That didn't work either.  I tried deleting them  all again and again and google would crash and not let me do it. It is absolutely ridiculous that this is so damned difficult to do (especially if you are not computer savvy) and that you cannot choose which device overwrites which when syncing. I gave up and ticked sync with Google again (not that it appears to do anything to the phone contact list at all).  So after 5 hours I am back to where I started from, with a phone showing all the same  incorrect contacts (but the pictures are back), which wants to overwrite the computer if I try any sort of sync, and no way to fix them except go into each one manually and try and do it - and how long would that take (and I've already wasted hours and hours fixing scrambled contact lists!).  I think I will do a print out of the computer contact list and just carry it around with me like an address book - so much bloody simpler.  So now I have a headache, am fighting an overwhelming urge to hurl the phone at the wall,  hoping for a heat wave to evaporate icloud things and am wishing I had bought an iPhone instead of the stupid HTC Android.  Can any one offer me any suggestions on how to get rid of the contacts on my phone and replace them with the ones in my mac address list - hopefully after that  they can sync to their hearts content and not stuff everything up again (which was why I unsynced google a while back - because the phone's list kept making stuff ups and scrambling and duplicating my computer contacts list).  Am I the only one on the planet having this problem or is there someone else out there who has had it and solved it.

Without "pretending" to be yourself on the other phone (change settings) there's nothing else you can do.

  • Open letter to HTC and VZW

I'm a die hard VZW fan.  I have been with them for over 5 years.  Never had any problems with their network, no dropped calls, excellent signal, and quality hardware from its makers.  I even "converted" a couple of my friends over to the VZW network from one of their competitors.  My initial android device was Motorola Droid.  Yes the first droid.  Finally VZW offered a third choice to my phone selection, the other being Microsoft and Apple.  I love the network and heard rave reviews about HTC devices and how open they were.  Great battery life and the rest.
When time came about for me to upgrade to a new phone.  My Moto Droid still works but was dying for the latest and greatest.  I jumped right on over to the HTC thunderbolt.  At the time, there wasn't any other choice for me.  It didn't make sense to me to jump to another 3g phone since in two years time all phone will probably be on 4g.  I ordered the Thunderbolt the second week it came out.  I was stoked.  I knew that I couldn't use 4g yet.  I live in Portage, MI but I travel to Grand Rapids, MI every weekend.  So I knew sometime in 2011 I could use 4g.
A couple weeks ago I went on vacation and the very first city I used 4g in was Denver.  I was stoked at how fast it was. I switched it between using 4g to 3g cause I noticed my battery draining very fast.  But wow. . . even the 3g was faster in Denver than it was where I live.  I loved the thunderbolt except for the battery life.
I knew that a OTA would come out and was checking for a software update every now and then during my vacation.  I was hoping this would fix the battery issue.  It kinda did but. . . . now I'm suffering from random reboots.  Im looking on forum sites and saw an article on Engadget about the reboots.
The camel's back is slowly breaking here.  I got home and went back to work.  I noticed that my phone would reboot about 8 times all before noon.  The first day it has done that I went to the local verizon store.  The rep told me that VZW is working with HTC for a fix and it wouldn't be 3 to 4 months out either.   It would be sooner than that.
So what is happening now withe my thunderbolt?  I cannot do data from my home from whence I could get a 3g data signal.  Sometimes its 1x, sometimes its 3g but unable to do any data transfers.  I'm unable to do data while I'm on the phone.  My calls drop because my phone will reboot during a call from time to time.  And just this last weekend, my phone got stuck in a reboot cycle, HTC white screen, the thunderbolt animation, the cloud screen and then poof, back to the HTC white screen.  I ended up calling Verizon tech support, for help.  I took out my battery and put it back in.  Ok I'm back to the homescreen and it seems to be responsive.  And then I was told by the VZW tech support person that no one else is having reboot issues.  My jaw dropped.
Service and quality of software (firmware included)  have been quite subpar from what I am used to.  I know that implementing a new technology takes lots of testing yet some how I don't think enough testing was done.  Even from the design aspect, the thunderbolt seems to have its pit falls.  For instance:  the inability to charge the Thunderbolt while using the kickstand.   I know not every device is going to be perfect.
I some how feel that VZW or HTC owes Thunderbolt users something.  No I don't want a refurbished phone.  I would like a brand new HTC thunderbolt with the ability to:  1.  not have reboots  2. no dropped calls  3.  Ability to do data and voice at the same time (hence why there are two radios inside)   4.  Have network reliability back
Or offer me the 2 year discounted price to jump over to another HTC 4g device or even another 4g phone.  My confidence is waning with HTC and VZW.  I'm also seriously considering paying the amount to break my contract if you don't break it for me when you go to tiered data.  I'd even be happy with you offering to pay one month's bill or a portion of it to hold me over for the next month or so til we have a fix OTA update.

  • TS1363 My HTC One no longer connects to Itunes whereas it did previously - any suggestions?

I have previously been able to sync HTC One with iTunes, but it now doesn't appear in the devices list.  Any ideas why this is so?

iTunes only syncs with iOS devices.
There is no support for syncing to any Android device.

  • Contact vs phone contacts; Google Android vs Motorola vs HTC vs Samsung

My Droid 2 contact came from several sources.  Verizon downloaded by Motorola E815 phone contacts and my contact information from an old HTC XV6800.  I downloaded other contacts from Outlook and from my HP Palmtop 200LX.  All of this made for a pretty awful database since some of the databases only had a single name field.  As I tried to correct many of the entries, I got a ton of "Forced closed" messages which was quite annoying, but I quickly learned that it was my contact database which was the culprit.  The contact and phone databases have requirements for the type of characters that are allowed in the fields.  If the import file has the wrong type of characters in the fields into which the data are imported, you get a "forced closed" error. After cleaning up all the fields, the "forced closed" problem went away.
In the process of cleaning up my contacts, I also noticed at the bottom of each listing there is an entry called 'Linked Profile' with a number in parenthesis following.  The number 1 means that this is the only profile for this person. The number 2 would mean a second profile exists.  This second profile could be within your contacts database or your phone contact data base.  If you had a higher number there, there could be additional entries within the same database - say one entry of First Name, Last Name and another of Last Name, First Name.  I had some with 7 entries and believed that these also contributed to my 'forced closed' messages.  I decided to unlink each one and found that many of them had only names and phone numbers.  These, I believe, came from the import of my old phone database that had been backed up to Verizon's Backup Assistant.  There were a few entries which consisted of a name and email address or two.  Some with just an email address.
After cleaning up the database and trying to learn about other features on the Droid 2, I decided to ensure my data was being backed up in my Gmail contacts as well as Verizon's Backup Assistant.  When I logged into the latter site, I found over 500 deleted addresses.  It seems that all those entries which contained only phone numbers that I deleted from my Droid2 were really phone contacts and were deleted from the Backup Assistant database (they were not totally deleted and I could undelete them if I wanted.)  I would have thought though that the remaining entries in my contacts are much more complete with complete home and work addresses , phone numbers, email address, IM address, company names, titles, nicknames, Websites, ringtones and whether to send the call straight to voicemail.  However, none of these contacts were backed up the Verizon Backup Assistant.  They were backed up to my Gmail contacts.  I have my Droid 2 scheduled to sync with Google's gmail, gmail contacts and calendar, as well as the Verizon Backup Assistant.  My first question is why doesn't the Verizon Backup Assistant back up ALL contacts?
With the Droid 2, if you select the Dialer icon from the full list of programs, it brings up a keypad with a search bar above and 4 Icons on the top - Dialer, Recent calls, Contacts and Favorites.  By the way, clicking on the Favorites icon allows you to select your favorites.  After clicking the Contacts or Favorites icon, If you long press the menu icon on the bottom left, you then have the option searching your contacts, clearing the frequently called list or setting up your speed dial.  It appears to be the only ways to set up the speed dial.  Once set up, you can see the assigned speed dial numbers in the entries for those people in your Favorite list.  To dial them just click the dialer icon and long press the speed dial number for the contact you want to call.  If you remember the numbers by heart, just go right to the dialer and long press the correct number.  My next question is at first I had no trouble in setting up the Favorites or the Speed dial, but lately, when I long press the menu icon, it brings up the electronic keyboard.  The only way to bring up any options is to open the sliding keyboard, shifting the screen to landscape mode.  Pressing the menu icon will then bring up the choices mentioned above.  I noticed this occurring within other applications so I believe it is a software problem cause by interactions with other software or a recent update.  It seems to be intermittant, corrected momentarily by opening the sliding keyboard, but after a couple of minutes reverts back to the problem mode.
Getting back to the contacts issue, if you select the Contact icon when the Dialer is opened, while many of the contacts that come up are from the Phone Contact database AND are not VIEWABLE when you select the Contact icon on the Home Page.  In fact, I have two entries for myself, one with nickname and last name; the other full legal name (first middle and last).  Only the one with the nickname shows up in viewing my contacts in the Verizon Backup Assistant.  This entry is also found in my main Contacts database on the Droid 2.  The entry with my full legal name is not in the Verizon Backup Assistant database.  This entry is only viewable from my phone contacts on the Droid2.  It does not show up as a Gmail contact and is not viewable on my main contact database.   It is also not the first time that my own entry has disappeared.  Can anyone explain this?
I have been reading the forum entries on various subjects regarding contacts with most folks focusing on Google's lack of design.  However, my wife has an HTC Incredible which also runs Android 2.2.  However, its contact system is totally different from Motorola's, as is LG's and Samsung.  These systems have the ability to enter data into either the phone database or the contacts database starting from scratch.  With Motorola's system the only way to enter a new entry into the phone database is start by keying in a phone number first.  This is confusing to the average user who is typically shown by Verizon people how to add entries to the main contact database.  All these systems allow for the entry to be displayed either the last name, first name mode or in the first name, last name mode.  Take aim at Motorola, not Google.  There may be some aspects of the contact system that are controlled by Android, but the sorting of the database and the ease of making entries is not an Android-specific problem.
Next question, with my Bluetooth earphone paired and connected, it takes almost 30 seconds between the pushing of the center button on the Bluetooth for the Droid2's voice command to say "Say a command", to which I respond, "Call Joe Smith mobile" or some other command.  It was instantaneous with my old Motorola E815.  This kind of delay is totally unacceptable.  Does anyone have a clue about why it takes so long?

Keep in mind, each source that you are importing contact information from has its own platform and technology being used which can be different than the platform on the device. Based on the multiple topics that you bring up, and to ensure that I address your concerns fully, please send me a private message with your Verizon Wireless cell phone number, a callback number where I can reach you, and the best time to contact you.  You will want to provide a call back number since you will need to be off of your device when we talk.

  • I installed Firefox for Mobile on my HTC Droid Eris but it won't work. Why?

I have an HTC Droid Eris and it runs the Android 2.0 operating system. When I attempt to open it I receive a message that says: "This device does not meet the minimum system requirements for Firefox".
The website states: "Firefox 4 Beta is available for Android 2.0 or higher" so I do not understand why it won't work on my phone.

  • I have a "Security Unlocked" HTC 8x that will not download updates. Is there a way to push updates to it?

So I destroyed the LCD on my first 8x and had to get a replacement. I bought another 8x on ebay and it turns out that it is "Security Unlocked". I apparently have full access to the bootloader and can enter all sorts of fun modes by pressing buttons
during bootup. But I am unable to install any OTA updates to the phone. When I search for updates on the phone it tells me that my device is up to date (my current version is 8.0.900.568). If I attempt to install language packs, I just get an error "Couldn't
    download. Tap to retry".
When I boot to "bootloader mode", which displays lots of numbers and bar codes, the indications are that this phone was shipped from HTC this way and was not hacked by a previous owner. I suspect the ebay seller got it like this new. The ebay seller
has not responded to any of my messages.
HTC support has been less than helpful (though the support agent did try his best to help me out) and Windows Phone support believed I was referring to "Developer unlocked" and said I would probably have better luck here. I have registered the
phone with Visual Studio and have so far been unsuccessful at finding any way to push updates to the phone directly, but I'm not sure at all where to look. Right now I just have VS Express with the WP SDK installed, but I can install VS 2013 Pro on here if
    I need to.
Since it is security unlocked, I supposedly have access to all sorts of gooey parts of the phone, including potentially the OS partition. I have the technical skill and ability to perform whatever official or unofficial or unsupported tasks might be involved
in getting this thing to work like a normal phone. I just don't have the esoteric knowledge to do so.
So the original question - are there any hacks I can do to make it function like a regular phone and download updates OTA? (To be clear, I am not trying to hack the phone, I'm trying to UNhack the phone.) Is there a way to push updates with Visual Studio
    or in some other way?

I am sorry that you don't find the answer to be correct. In THIS forum, telling you that you are in the wrong forum, and suggesting where to post for correct answers, or indeed any support, IS the answer.
I'm also sorry that you purchased a phone that you are having trouble with. If the vendor cannot help you (HTC), and the eBay seller cannot help you, then you really do need to either follow up with the forums Ken suggests, or the HTC forum, or with eBay.

I have a variety of devices on my home network, such as 1 MAC, 5 Win 7 PCs, 4 Android mobile phones, 1 TV PVR, 1 BluRay Player, 1 TV, 2 Network Printers, 1 iPod Touch. All of them is appearing as the should except one of the mobile phones. It is being recognized as a Win 7 PC and I can not change the type to anything but a PC/Mac. I have tried changing the IP address and also completely resetting the network but to no avail. Network Magic also gives my Android phone (HTC Desire) the name of one of the connected Win 7 PC's. The IP address and MAC address recognized by Network Magic is the ones associated with the phone, not the PC. The PC is a laptop with both wired and wireless connection, but it doesn't help if I disable on or the other or both. I have also completely reinstalled Network Magic on the PC but the problem persists.
In addition to being annoying, the problem also prevents me from administrating a NetGear access point as it only accepts to be managed by the computer Network Magic is associating with my Androd phone. To work around that issue I hope I can do a factory reset on the access point and reconfigure it, but I'm not looking forward to it. I have bought Network magic Pro as my network management sw and would like to use it for that purpose.
    Please anyone - HELP!

Dang! It's been a year since this was posted and nobody is able to HELP...
Anyway, I have the same problem here too... My Verizon Motorola Droid A855 is identifies as computer and Microsoft Windows 7 (workstation). I can't get the other options to categorize it as a cellphone. The thing is my Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-Ray DVD Player appears on the network map and I was able to put it under "Media Adapter," another pc appears  as it should, a Hawking Wireless-G Range Extender as "Wireless Access Point," and a BoostMobile Motorola i1 Android cellphone appears as a "cellphone." So, how come my Motorola DROID A855 is detailed as under my pc name and operating system Windows & Professional? This is weird.

  • Help needed with HTC One regarding mic problem with noise cancellation

I picked up an HTC One last week, and so far I am loving the phone.  Great build quality, screen, sound - all as advertised.
However, there is one very annoying problem I am having.  When I am talking to someone, I can gear them great, but they keep telling me I sound muffled or robotic.  I performed some tests, and the problem appears to be something with the dual microphones and the HTC One's noise cancellation features.
Here are the tests I ran:
Typical phone call, with holding the phone as I normally do on the sides and to my ear.  Call result, pretty muffled voice.  I'd give the call quality a 5/10.
Help the phone as I typically do, but covered the mic hole on the back of the phone.  This definatelyimproved call quality.  Was louder and clearer, but not perfect.  I'd rate it at 8/10.
Help the phone towards the bottom, using my hand to kind of cup the bottom directing the sound to the bottom mic.  This was a further improvement in sound quality.  Rating would be 9/10.
Help phone as normal, but covered the bottom mic hole.  Very low volume and muffled sound.  Rating a 4/10.
Talked directly into the bottom of the phone into the bottom mic.  This gave perfect call quality and volume.  Rating a 10/10!
Talked directly into the mic on the back of the phone. Horrible quality, couldn't hear hardly anything. Rating 0/10.
Speaker phone on, held the phone up and moved it around as I would normally use a speaker phone.  Call quality was really nice.  Id give it 9/10.
Speaker phone on, covered back mic hole and used speaker phone as in #7.  Very bad quality, rating 1/10 for call quality.
Speaker phone on, covered bottom mic and help speaker phone in hand.  Really good quality, even an improvement over test #7.  Would give the call quality a 9.5/10.
Speaker phone on, placed face down on table.  Volume a bit low, a little muffled.  Call quality 6/10.
Speaker phone on, place face up on table.  A bit worse than test #10, low volume and a bit muffled.  Call quality is 5/10.
Based on these tests, I know this problem has nothing to do with the network CDMA connection.  It is obvious that the noise cancellation features are a bit too aggressive, or I have some hardware problem with one or both mics.
I question wether its really a hardware mic problem, because on non-speaker phone calls, talking directly into the bottom mic gives great quality.  And on Speaker phone, covering the bottom mic makes the speaker phone sound really good.  That's why I think there's something going on with the "Sense Sound" noise cancellation.
Is anyone else seeing the same issues?  I want to be able to hold the phone normal on a non speaker phone call and get good quality.
Looking for any tips and advice anyone can give.  Is it worth exchanging for a new one, as I am still in my 14 day window.
Thanks in advance for the help!

I believe the phone uses Android OS, v2.3.4 (Gingerbread) therefore you can use one of these applications:

  • HTC S620 used as a modem - unsuccessfully.

The instruction book says I can use the phone as a modem, to give internet access to the asociated PC (a Toshiba Tablet running XP Pro to SP3, in my case).
The book says the phone to PC link can be either Bluetooth or USB cable.
For the Bluetooth, I've paired the phone to the PC, then invoked Internet Sharing on the phone. At this point the phone tells me to set the PC to the Bluetooth PAN. I do that, and both the PC and phone give their status as 'connected'.
However, the PC browser cannot connect to the Internet (AKA get any response from Forums or standard company sites like the BBC). While both pieces are in this connected status I can open up the Browser on the phone and connect to the Internet.
Connecting the phone and PC together via a USB cord, and invoking Internet Sharing, is simpler, apparently successful, but also ineffective as far as accessing the internet from the PC.
I'm wondering if I'm missing some vital step in setting up Internet Sharing.
Has anyone else ever managed to use the HTC S620 as a modem?
I have tried the BT Helpdesk, who suggested the problem was with the phone (reflecting my opinion).
I've asked HTC (0845 890 0079) and they have gone away to investigate, returning after a couple of prompts to suggest I do a cold reset on the phone. This smacks of desperation, with no guarantee of success, and I'm not sure what additional workload this will give me in terms of rebuilding it back to it's current state, applications installed, etc.
I've looked if I can upgrade or update the Windows Mobile 6 operating system.
I see the current is 6.5, but I need to install 6.1 first. After failing to install 6.1 from Microsoft US (with an error message saying invalid lanuage setting) I enquired of HTC, who tell me the S620 phone will not support 6.1.
Cynically, I'm not sure whether to believe them, although it wouldn't be the first time I've met an error message that was inaccurate.
Does anyone else care to comment about running 6.1 or 6.5 on the HTC S620?
As you can see, I've given the problem some attention before asking for help, but that's what I'm asking for now :-)
    Thanks.

    Thankyou both.
I wanted to use the phone as a modem 2 or 3 times a month, and while the facility is 'nice to have' I'm not sure about investing in a newer smartphone.
I think I'd rather spend money on a pure Internet access dongle for the PC, either a plug-in or more likely one that sets up a small WiFi network, like those availble from the Three network.
I just have a suspicion that a dedicated device will give better service. I'll accept poor service if it's free (built into a device I already have) but if I'm going to have to pay then I'd rather get the best (most suitable / cost effective) device I can.
I do have the 10MB per month allowance, most of which is wasted each month, so I do have some headroom for experimenting with the phone. Currently my mobile bill is 00.00 per month as I never go over the limit of the speech or data allowances.
Of course, if I bought such a dongle I'd also be buying another data allowance, so the 10MB / month on the phone would still be wasted.
After making my original post I found a forum that seemed to have lots of posts, over a considerable time, relating to upgrading the S620 to 6.1 or 6.5. Some of them seemed to claim speed benefits through better design (compared to v6.0).

At this point it helps to understand that the S620 is also called the Excalibur.
As MarkV mentioned, I did wonder what I was going to lose by crossing to the wrong side of the tracks. I don't use BT Talk at all, in fact BT have withdrawn the service from me. At least, that's my understanding. It's no loss at all, to me, so I'm not bothered. I'm not really sure what else I'd loose. Probably all those applications shown as BT something, which I've never used anyway!!
I've almost convinced myself to experiment :-)
    Thanks again.

  • Firefox constantly crashes on my htc droid incredible

i have an HTC Droid Incredible and have been using firefox for a while. all of a sudden, when i try to use firefox on my phone, it opens for a few seconds then the screen turns white then takes me to a page that says FireFox has crashed and allows me to restart or close the program. Regardless of closing or restarting, the it always crashes. I've unistalled and reinstalled FireFox to see if that would fix it but it doesn't. My other internet browser works fine. Does anyone have any advise on how to fix this?

    Have you rebooted the phone?

  • Multiple Issues with HTC 8X and Verizon Doesn't Care

I have had this phone for three months and had this issue the whole time.  Searched Verizon and Windows forums and found the same thing.  Only Verizon HTC 8X having this issue.  On top of that I am now having hardware issues.  Phone SIM not showing up as connected and have to restart or re-seat the SIM.  Battery life has gone down drastically.  Overnight charge gets me 11 hours tops without using my Data plan with WIFI off and other major apps closed out.  Shouldn't have to do that to utilize features on a smart phone.  As soon as I begin using my data plan the 11 hours is cut in half.  Not to mention if I use the phone for GPS navigation it gets drained in 30 minutes to and hour.  Then the software is now freezing.  Either freezes completly and have to restart or applications i try to open, stall and then go  back to the start menu.  I have to then power off the phone which freezes and 15 minutes later powers off.  3 months into the phones contract.  Ridiculous.  Bought from Letstalk.com and they told me I am SOL.  14 days for return and 30 for exchange.  Go see HTC.  HTC says i'm SOL.  Go to Verizon and get a new SIM.  Factory Reset the device as  well.  If that doesn't help, ship it to us and we will repair.  Are you kidding.  I am a consultant for a major merger and acquisition company that deals with infrastructure practices all day.  Send you my phone for repair on a 3 month old phone.  Are you kidding me.  Finally talked to Verizon.  They are not consciously aware of the HTC 8x missed call three beep scenario when it has been on there forums since December of this year.  With all my issues they told me I'm SOL.  I don't want to send it in for repair.  That is ridiculous.  What will that solve.  A couple of the issues.  What about the three beep issue the has plagued me for months. A refurbished of a different model from two years ago, no thanks.  I received a new phone three months ago.  So you wanna make it my fault and tell me here take an iphone 4 from two years ago from 300 dollars.  I am furious with this and want to proceed with making sure this lack of decent service for an issue like this is resolved and others don't have to face this type of treatment.  I paid good money for a smartphone with reliable service.  So far i'm being told to bend over and take it from everyone.  I feel that the three beep issue alone is a breach of the contract I have with Verizon and I should be able to constitute that right and terminate this disease.

    Hello,
I received my new "reconditioned" phone to replace my 6 month old Droid 4.
The replacement phone only holds a charge for 6 hours or so, with minimal
    use (no internet).
I am VERY unhappy. I left a message with the store employee who helped me
    activate the replacement
phone, but have not heard back. This is really disappointing. I paid a lot
of money AND signed an additional
2 year contract in order to purchase my Droid 4. Now I am stuck with a piece
of junk phone as is my other
employee who has a replaced Droid 4 as well. The store even told me they had
"issues" with this model (battery completely died on my phone 619-XXX-XXXX
    as well as on 760-XXX-XXXX).
We concluded that when both our Droid 4 phones died within a couple of
    months of each other.
AT the very least, we should have our phones replaced with new, so they can
at least hold a charge and be used for
our business as the purpose they were purchased  for.
I would think making this right, since this is quite obviously NOT our fault
would be clear if you expect to retain customers.
