HTC Incredible 4g LTE - SIM card needed

Hello - I have an HTC Incredible 4g LTE, I need a SIM card.  How do I go about obtaining one?
Thanks

Visit your local Verizon Wireless corporate store or call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 or *611 to request one or you can request online during the "Switch/activate device" process in your MyVerizon account.

  • Blackberry 9930 on 4G-LTE Sim Card Swap

My wife and I are considering switching from AT&T to Verizon. However, I am unable to have a phone at work with a camera due to security restrictions. All the managers at work have company supplied Blackberry Bold 9930s on Verizon.  I currently have an older unlocked Blackberry that I switch Sim cards (AT&T) daily to be able to have the Blackberry at work and my Galaxy S3 at home. I do not get as good of signal as the Verizon service/Blackberrys. I just purchased a new unlocked Blackberry Bold online.
If we switched to Verizon, would I be able switch the Verizon 4G-LTE sim card between a new S5 and the Blackberry Bold 9930 so I could have a phone for work and for home? Or is the Verizon service on the 9930s still only CDMA based since they are not newer 4G phones? Also, please note that I do not have internet access at work either to be able to do anything on MyVerizon.
I have been to a Verizon store  and Best Buy and have not gotten a straight answer nor have I found a definite answer searching the internet.  I would hate to switch services and not be able to have a phone at work or easily switch phones daily.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out, Frechles11. We want you to always be able to easily manage your account. The SIM card on the Verizon Blackberry Bold 9930 is designed for international 3G use not 4G so the SIM cards are incompatible.
    Thank you,

  • Re-use of LTE Sim Card

    Hello,
I first want to start off by apologizing if this has been asked before.  I've paged through several discussions and haven't found my answer yet.
I know that in the past, the ability to do a hardware swap and "re-use" a SIM did not exist.  If you gave your LTE phone to someone else, or activated one for the first time, you had to have a brand-spankin' new SIM or else it wouldn't work.  I've heard rumors that Verizon recently gave consumers the ability to use the same SIM through multiple transactions, but I have yet to have someone who's actually done this confirm the rumor.
Anyways, I'm looking to use the upgrade from a spare line on my account to purchase the iPhone 5.  As most probably know, this new iPhone uses a Micro SIM, which no other phone has used in the past.  I'm going to upgrade this spare line, then put it back on the flip phone it's on now and pay $9.99 a month on my Family Share plan.  Finally, I'm looking to put the iPhone 5 (and Micro SIM) on the line I personally use.
Will I need to acquire an extra SIM from Verizon to complete this transaction?  Something tells me that when I put the spare line back on it's flip phone, the SIM will be junk.  The reason I don't want to do a "buddy upgrade" on Verizon's website is because I have unlimited data I want to keep.  I'll need two transactions to be able to keep it.  I'm 100% willing to buy another SIM from Verizon, but would like to know if this is necessary before I get all giddy when the iPhone comes in the mail.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I have great news, GirlGenius88! You will be able to utilize the upgrade from your eligible line and activate the iPhone 5 on the number of your choice. The best part is that you will not need a new SIM card. When the phone arrives go to www.vzw.com and activate the device. I hope this helps.

  • HTC Incredible 4g LTE

Excuse me, but where is the discussion forum for the HTC Droid Incredible 4g LTE?  I upgraded to this phone back in June.  Is there no one buying this phone?  I know there's basically no community development on it, because the ******** at Verizon Wireless re-locked the bootloader, even though they initially allowed it to be unlocked.  What gives?  Does no one care about this phone?
I feel like Verizon Wireless has a severe lemon on their hands with this phone.  Granted, spec-wise, it's not that horrible, but there are definitely issues with this handset.  Where the heck is the community for this phone?  I feel very alone having chosen this phone as my upgrade to the original HTC Incredible...

  • SIM card needed?

Okay - since Verizon doesn't seem to want to sell a WP7 device with a slideout keyboard, and I seriously need a phone, I'm thinking of picking up a used Touch Pro 2.  The thing is, it has a SIM card slot and no thinking person would dare sell the phone with their SIM card.
So... If I do purchase a Touch Pro 2, do I need a SIM card if I'm going to use the phone ONLY in the USA?  If I need one, where can I get one?  Is there another option?
    Thanks in Advance!

I just want to reiterate something that many people on this forum have mentioned about keyboards. The Trophy's virtual keyboard is absolutely one of the best on the market. The buttons are a great size (especially in landscape mode), the keys "zoom" when you tap them and they have haptic feedback. All that plus the predictive text is extremely accurate, almost all mistakes that you make when you are typing are auto-corrected.
You really should try out the phone at your local VZW store if you haven't already. You just might find that you really don't need the hardware keyboard!
Absolutely!  I came from using 6700 (was that the one before Mogul?) Sprint Mogul, Touch Pro, TP2, so I've been using a slide-out for a long time.  I thought I was going to HATE the virtual keyboard, but a friend who sells phones gave me his thoughts, and I tried it.  I've only been using it for what, 3 weeks now?  And I can type on it faster than I could with the slide-out.  The key is to type, keep typing, let the keyboard software auto-correct, and if you see a word that auto-corrected wrong, tap it, and choose an alternative from the list (and the list scrolls sideways, for those who don't know).  I think if they offered a slide-out, I'd probably buy it, since it became such a dependency for me when I had it, but I would not mind anymore when using the programs that don't support landscape mode.
Also, if anyone is developing for WP7...  Do your users a favor.  When you create a text box, add one property to the textboxes that you place:
         InputScope="Text"
InputSceope="Text" causes the auto-correct to be available.  Otherwise, it's a dumb keyboard.  There are other InputScopes as well, which will give you a keyboard tailored to the situation, but this one gives you auto-correct.

  • Each time I turn off my Maxx, it locks the SIM card, need PUK to unlock

Each time I have to turn my Maxx off, it locks the SIM card and needs the PUK number to unlock it.  I'm so sick of this.  Can anyone please help me?  TYIA!

    Hello Matthew,
When I got my phone, I wanted to lock it so it required the 4 digit PIN code to get into it. I did that, using the "Set up SIM card lock" function, and, I just checked "SIM card lock settings" and it has a check mark beside "Require PIN to use phone".  It has never been set up for encryption.  I've only had it a few weeks.  I never tried to set up encryption, nor did I do anything that made the PUK number be required after my phone has been turned off.  It just started after I'd had it a couple of weeks.  I'm going to be traveling by plane quite often, and will have to turn off my phone.  I'm not sure what to do at that point.  Any help you can give me will be most appreciate!
    Thank you!!

  • Does the account holder have to go with you to get a 4g LTE sim card?

The sim card in my son's thunderbolt messed up a few days ago and he has his license but he's only 16. Would it be possible for him to go to the Verizon store and get another sim card? Or does the person going have to be 18 and up? Thanks in advance

Could very well be, you could always call the store before hand... in fact, now that you mention it, we have a friend of my wife's on our family plan and at one point she had broken her phone, gotten a new one from another friend and went to the store to activate it herself, so it may not be a problem.

  • Trying to activate old sim card need help

i bought another phone today and had an old sim card at home from a 4g phone activated it in the new phone but it wont let me make calls

Try removing and resetting the Sim card again, if the card is good and for an active Verizon account it should work. If the card does not work visit a Verizon Corp Store and get a new card, there is no charge for the card at a VZW Corp store.

  • HTC Incredible 4G LTE will not Power Up!

I have had this phone since July 2012.  Sometime around August 2013 I started having trouble with the phone turning off randomly.  This phone has NEVER been dropped or gotten wet.  In fact, I baby it since I dropped my old Blackberry and shattered the screen.  I bought a protective case and screen cover for the HTC.  Shortly after it began randomly turning off it would no longer charge using the Mini-USB Charge Port.  I bought two replacement batteries that came with an external charger.  Using the external charger, the phone worked for a short time.  After about two weeks I had the same Shut Off problem again until I rigged it by leaving off the battery cover and sticking a penny in there to make sure the battery was making good contact with the phone's points.  I figured maybe it had a bad/loose connection.  Although it was very inconvenient, it worked for about two months (if I laid it on the table) and allowed me to save my pictures at least.  Then one day it just would not turn on anymore, even using my penny "trick".  I am sure the two 3rd party batteries and HTC battery is good because when I put them on the charger for a few hours the light turns from red to blue, indicating a full charge.
Since Verizon Customer Support could not help me other than suggesting I spend $400 on a replacement, I am about to replace the Mini-USB Charging Port to see if this works.  I am trying this because it doesn't register any power at all with the battery or the cord plugged in.  I would rather try a $2to $3 fix than a $400-$600 replacement.  Has anybody else tried this?  Are there any Repair Manuals available or Parts Lists?  I am about to remove and replace the Mini-USB Charging Port from the phone using a YouTube Video for guidance.  Although the video is for an Incredible 2 there are only minor differences.  I found a replacement Port that requires soldering on the internet for under $2.  The whole piece with ribbon and screw mount that doesn't involve soldering is available for under $3.  Before I open the phone, order the part, and get out the soldering iron I want to make sure there are no known issues or fixes.  At what point is HTC responsible for selling a faulty product?
I notice there are multiple posts about the HTC Incredibles' power problem with no answers other than, "Try a Hard Reset" or "Delete the last app you installed" by VZW Staff.  Then the topic gets Locked for some reason!  One post had over 10,000 views!  As other people have replied, you can't reset or delete what you cant Power On.
Does anybody have any suggestions other than a Class Action Suit?  My "New Every Two" isn't up until July 2014, I've been using an old LG flipper for a few months and it is very annoying considering the amount of texts I send!  I've been with Verizon for over ten years now and I am unable to find ANY loyalty from Verizon!  I can get no love even though it's well over $10,000 I have spent with this company!  Makes me think a little harder on where MY loyalties lie.

Did you ever get your phone to power on? I've had this issue off and on for months. Of course Verizon cannot help. What is the trick to get the phone to charge and come back on? The battery is new and the phone was working fine as long as I did not allow it to die, but it died today before I could place it on the charger. And as always, it hasn't come back on.

  • HTC Incredible 4G lte screen going crazy

The screen randomly starts doing all kinds of things by itself. It acts like someone is typing on the keypad for no apparent reason, or starts zooming, going to different pages, changing settings. Sometimes the screen locks up. Sometimes the sliding ring is unresponsive.
I have found that usually pressing the lock button and starting over will usually correct it temporarily, but almost always comes back.
I have tried a battery pull, I have done the screen clibration, I have done the soft reset, does not seem to matter.

I want you to gain the most reliable performance from your device 1197st! I can appreciate why this performance would be frustrating. When did this start? Was there something that changed with a particular app, function or setting? Does the device respond at all when you power cycle it or pull the battery or do the problems continue right away?

  • Sim Card...4G LTE

Ok, I realize in a way I'm going backwards by going from a Droid Bionic to a HTC Trophy.  I'm not very happy with Google's policy changes basically.  My question is, can I use my 4G LTE sim card in the trophy?  I know a 3G won't work in my Bionic...wondering is backwards compatible.

The HTC Trophy does have a slot for a standard SIM card, but only for global use. It's a different SIM card than the 4G LTE SIM.
I have a Droid Charge and an HTC Trophy. Trophy's SIM is for global roaming only

  • Can I just buy a sim card?

I'm about to buy a LG VL600 4G from a local seller for my mobile broadband.
The problem is the seller does not have the SIM card with it.
Can I just walk into a Verizon and buy the SIM card?  If so, how much?

This can' t be correct RoyB_VZW.
I just recently activated a Nexus purchased from a third-party on my active phone line (Thunderbolt). I walked into a corporate store and asked for a new 4G LTE SIM card since the Nexus has a different sized SIM. I was not charged for the card and the store rep were happy to help me. The rep activated both the SIM and the phone in store.
As 4G LTE devices are more in the field, more people will be able to purchase them from thurd parties and will need to start a new service and will require a new SIM card in the process.
It should work similar as if a person tried to activate the device throught their online My Verizon account. There is a page in the activation process that asks you if a new SIM card is needed and Verizon will mail one out to the customer.
I was to impatient to wait for the mailing of a new SIM card so I didn't complete the activation of the Nexus online and went to a store instead.
