HTC One, Blue (Verizon Wireless) UNLOCK

Hi
Am interested in buying HTC One, Blue (Verizon Wireless) from Amazon with the below specs.
Factory Unlocked for any GSM SIM Card
Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad Core Processor
4G LTE
Beats Audio
HD Display
Can anyone confirm if this phone is already unlocked and can be used in Africa Specifically Ghana on any GSM network?
Thanks

    Good morning, kwabesei
That is a very good question, and that is also a great device. I am showing that you are able to use the HTC One while traveling to Ghana. If you were to use the phone while traveling outside of the United Stated it will have International rates. I do show that the per minute rate woudl be $2.89 per minute. Text rate would be $0.50 to send a message and $0.05 to reveive. The data rate is what will add up real quick. That would be $20.48 per MB of usage. I would suggest if you are going to use data to have it hooked up to wi-fi when ever you can. You can take a look at the full rate by following this link: http://vz.to/17KseUf If you have further questions please feel free to reach back out to us at anytime.

Every company has different phones and features...vzw has plenty of phones with an fm radio.. It never hurts to do a little research when buying a big ticket item like a $600 cell phone...

  • HTC One M8 Verizon Messages problem

We had a problem with not being able to send and receive text messages from Iphones. That is now fixed thanks to Apple. But since day one part of my individual text messages will become a group message. I can text my daughter and when I hit sent it will add 4-5 other people and make it a group. Any ideas of how to fix this. I have had this phone less than a week.

We definitely want to help look into a solution, Davidb910. The device is covered by a one year manufacturers warranty. If all warranty qualifications are met  you would be sent a Certified Like New Replacement. http://vz.to/1kezjCV
To confirm, you're using the Verizon Messages app and not the pre-installed application? Have you recently cleared the cache from the application? Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > All

  • HTC One M8 - Apps crash, phone reboots, freezes on lock screen

I have an HTC One M8, got it in June. It is my work phone. I was reading a news article in Chrome this morning and Chrome crashed. I re-opened it, crashed again. I re-opened it, crashed again, and then the phone rebooted on its own. It got stuck on the Verizon boot screen for several minutes. I held the Power + Vol Up buttons to force a restart. The phone rebooted. Now my apps are routinely crashing and the phone is rebooting on its own. I haven't been thrilled with this phone anyway, but now I've had it. Had anyone else had similar issues? Anyone from Verizon that can offer some assistance?

    Try clearing the app cache:
Clear App Cache The all new HTC One (M8) | Verizon Wireless
Or wiping the cache partition (you will not lose any data or settings):
    Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Down key.
Press and release the Power key to turn the phone on.
    Continue holding the Volume Down.
Release the Volume Down key when the three Android images appear on the bottom of the screen.
Press the Volume Down key once to move the cursor from FASTBOOT to RECOVERY.
Press the Power key to begin the wipe.
The device displays the bootup screen followed by a phone with a red triangle.
Press the Up Volume key and Power key at the same time.
Press the Down Volume key three times to select Wipe cache partition.
Press the Power key to initiate the wipe.
Wait until the phone displays Cache wipe complete.
Press the Power key to select Reboot system now.

  • Would the Unlocked Verizon HTC One M8 work with GSM Bands globally/?

If i buy a HTC One M8 phone and then pay all the installments and finally get the unlocking code. One phone is unlocked, then is is possible that CDMA Sim Card of Verizon be replaced with a SIM card of any GSM operator globally

as of last year all Verizon phones are unlocked of course if they were manufactured  starting last year. the HTC one m8 is sold unlocked however it may not work on all LTE bands Verizon operates on 1700F and 700C

  • Why wont verizon have a version of the HTC One?

I know this has been talked about...and that most everyone out there is all hyped up about the next samsung galaxy, but as soon as the HTC one came out i was glued to it... until they announced the carriers. No Verizon version. WTH?? Im telling you BIG RED...you have two choices now that my contract is almost up. You either a) announce some stupidly named droid device that is very much akin to this HTC one...(maybe with a better battery)...or b)i will switch to sprint and say...bu-bye

verizon dont like carrying phones that other carriers carry. the galaxy s 3 and note 2 are exceptions because the market share for those devices are big so they would lose big time money not to carry them..
verizon prefer manufacturers to make exclusive verizon phones EX: HTC DROID DNA... SAMSUNG DROID CHARGE MOTOROLA DROID LINES.
samsung put its foot down last year by making the SGS III identical across all US carriers. verizon had no choice but to swallow the pill.  good for samsung now HTC its trying to follow samsung steps. verizon feels that they wont lose much money by not carrying the htc one
NOW HERE IS THE REASON WHY VERIZON DECIDED NOT TO CARRY HTC ONE.
Imagine verizon advertising the HTC ONE in a TV AD ..... why would a new customer get and HTC ONE from verizon when that same new customers can get it from t mobile and save big time money over the course of 2 years??
verizon only like phones they can tout as exclusive.
hopefully the HTC DROID DNA is the last droid phone we will ever see.
If manufactures start selling the same device year after year across all carriers... Carriers like verizon will lose its stranglehold in the industry. THIS IS WHAT WE WANT.

  • HTC One M7 ... How to use in FRANCE with french Sim Card ?

    Hello,
I'm french and I was in US for few month ... I bought and used an HTC One M7 Verizon with a prepaid card and everything was OK.
Now i'm back to FRANCE and i would like to use it with a French SIM Card.
The sim card is detected by the phone but the thing is that only work on Edge ... no 3G or 4G ... so i can call or received call with Edge but no way to go on internet as i don't have 3G.
The french sim card is 3G-4G ready ... is there something i can do on the phone configuration to have 3G/4G
Thanks a lot for your help

        Hello zorin!
I can understand your desire to use the phone you recently purchased on the network in France! All of our 4G LTE phones are automatically unlocked for international use. However, they are designed primarily for use on the Verizon network, and it is possible that they will not work to their top performance capabilities on another network.
You can reach out to HTC to find out if there are any other options for getting your device to work bettery in France. HTC can be reached at 866-449-8358.
    Thank you,

  • Why doesn't the Verizon Version of the HTC ONE (M9) have Wifi Calling?

I have been with sprint for 11 years and recently upgraded my HTC One (M7) to the HTC One (M9). went to jamaica and was able to keep in touch with everyone free of charge with wifi calling. Once i returned i decided to leave sprint and come to Verizon. I realized today they dont have wifi calling on this phone. Why is that. isn't it CDMA like sprint

They're planning on releasing it in mid-2015:
Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) plans to introduce Wi-Fi calling in the middle of next year but does not see an urgent need for it, according to Verizon Communications CFO Fran Shammo.
Speaking at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference, Shammo noted that Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus support Wi-Fi calling. He said Verizon needs to do "some technological work in our network to make it available," and it should come around the middle of next year.
However, he said Wi-Fi calling was "never a top priority" for Verizon. "We built our voice platform so extensively [that] there was never a need for us to tell our customers, 'Oh, our network is not good enough so you need to go on Wi-Fi to complete your call.'"
He noted that when a call goes onto a Wi-Fi network, it's difficult for Verizon to guarantee the quality of service on that call, which is what Verizon has built its brand reputation on. That's a major reason Verizon waited so long to launch Voice over LTE service--it wanted to make sure it had adequate coverage that could replicate the voice experience of calls on its 3G CDMA network. Verizon has just started rolling out VoLTE service.
Other carriers are moving ahead with Wi-Fi calling plans. Ralph de la Vega, CEO of AT&T's Mobile & Business Solutions Group,  said last week that AT&T will launch Wi-Fi calling in 2015 but that the carrier will use it only as a complement to Voice over LTE or 3G-based calling. "We don't have this burning desire" to use it to enhance coverage, he said.
The comments were notable in light of T-Mobile US' (NYSE:TMUS) announcement this week that heavily emphasized Wi-Fi calling and using personal routers to create Wi-Fi coverage areas in subscribers' homes. T-Mobile is the first and only U.S. carrier to support Wi-Fi calling on the new iPhone. Sprint (NYSE: S) also launched a Wi-Fi calling service for its Android smartphones this past February.
In terms of other hot topics, Shammo said Verizon would not be leasing phones, as Sprint is doing with its "iPhone for life" offering with the new iPhones. Under that program, individual customers will pay $20 a month for a 16 GB iPhone 6, instead of $30 under normal financing. At the end of 24 months, they can trade in their iPhone for a new iPhone. The iPhone 6 Plus will cost $25 per month under this program instead of $35 under normal financing. If a customer wants an iPhone with more internal storage they will pay more per month. The leasing program applies to families as well.
Shammo said Verizon offers its Edge handset-financing and early-upgrade program but that the "majority" of Verizon customers are still choosing subsidized handsets paired with two-year contracts. In contrast, AT&T said sales through its similar Next program represented around 50 percent of all smartphone sales in the second quarter.
Shammo also touched on whether Verizon might sell its wireless-tower assets, saying the company remains open to it. In the past, doing a deal "always came down to price and terms and conditions," which he said have become more favorable. He said that Verizon's network is experiencing high demand and that the company would like to retain the flexibility to add towers or add network gear to existing towers. "It's an option for us," he said. "We continue to look at it, and we'll see what happens."
Last week at a separate investor conference, Verizon Communciations CEO Lowell McAdam also said the company would be open to selling some of its towers if the price was right. "Those deals are coming to us a little more now, and if an opportunity presented itself to increase shareholder value" Verizon would be interested in pursuing it, McAdam said, according to Reuters. McAdam said Verizon received interest in its towers two years ago, but the bids weren't high enough.

  • Will Verizon release Lollipop for HTC One M7?

Will Verizon release Lollipop for HTC One M7, and if so, any ideas when? Thanks!

Check with HTC. They are one in charge of coding for that device not Verizon Wireless.

  • Defective HTC One and TERRIBLE Service from Verizon

Monday evening my phone stopped charging and started going into car mode whenever I plugged the phone in. It was getting close to closing time so I headed over to a local Verizon store. I was in Boston and away from my awesome independently owned Verizon store so of course I proceeded to wait for 25 minutes for someone to help me. Eventually someone helped me and he was actually quite helpful. He did a soft reset and the phone seemed okay. He told me that if I had the issue again to just call up and they'd ship me a warranty replacement. Two days later the phone began going into dock mode and the screen was flickering between dock mode and whatever I was trying to do. I headed over to the same Verizon store because I was unable to call the warranty center on my defective device. When I got there, after waiting yet again, I dealt with an extremely rude and exceptionally useless employee. I told him that I was there because I was unable to call Verizon on my phone yet after he couldn't go through the warranty process on his ipad because the HTC One is 'too new' he handed me a phone number(which I already had) and said there was nothing more he could do for me. Frustrated I left to call Verizon. Luckily my phone felt like working now and the employee I dealt with insisted I do a hard reset before they send me a warranty replacement even though everyone else had ensured me it'd be an easy process. Eventually I was able to do the reset later that day and the phone was okay for a day, but then the issues reappeared. Last night I called Verizon and they told me that I won't receive my replacement until MONDAY. My phone is on my family's family plan, but I'm honestly considering leaving Verizon personally after this and hopefully I'll be able to sway them as well. We've been Verizon Wireless customers for 10+ years as well as FIOS and business customers for a long time and Verizon's handling of this situation was beyond poor. To make matters worse, now that I'll be waiting four days over the weekend for a replacement, the One seems to be getting worse - this morning it took a three soft resets, one hard reset, and two more soft resets to get it to charge. Good luck with this phone guys.

  • Using an AT&T HTC One M8 on Verizon account?

I won a new HTC One M8 at an AT&T open house and would like to use it on my Verizon account -- but the Verizon rep said they would not activate a non-Verizon phone?  Is there a way to get around this? When I install my current Verizon SIM card I get an error message reading SIM could not be provisioned MM#2

There isn't the CDMA radios in the AT&T model. Even if the hardware is compatible, the IMEI number isn't in Verizon Wireless database of allowed devices.

  • Is my HTC One M7 unlocked?

I have an HTC One M7 from verizon. I want to switch to TMobile. I haven't done any modification to the phone. my question is, is the phone already unlocked? or do i have to unlock it first? Also, how can i check if it is unlocked with out another sim? i want to make sure it is unlocked before i even buy the new sim card

I can help provide clarification, noize313.
All of our 4G devices come pre unlocked, however they are made to work optimally on the Verizon network and you may not have access to all services on other networks.
It is unfortunate that you are considering leaving Verizon. May I ask why that might be? I'd much rather help turn things around and allow you to use your device on the great network it was built for!
    Thank you,

  • Can I use more than one blue-tooth device at the same time on IPhone 4S? Like a wireless headsets and speed and cadence sensor for cycling computer, receive the data and listen music simultaneously

Can I use more than one blue-tooth device at the same time on IPhone 4S? Like a wireless headsets and speed and cadence sensor for cycling computer, receive the data and listen music simultaneously

As long as the profiles are different (ex. HID vs AD2P) you will not have any issues. But say if you try to use 2 keyboards at once, it won't work. Or 2 headsets at once. Your scenario seems fine.

  • Htc one m7 lollipop when Verizon?

When are you going to approve the Lollipop update for the M7 HTC One ????

Verizon doesn't care about timely updates, they want tyopush you to buy a new phone and make sure they totally lock everything down so that you can't enjoy the phone you paid for. Verizon sucks and I am really missing T-Mobile.
