| HTC Rezound | - connect to PC help, sync with university email + music
Hello all and welcome me,
This is my first post here, hopefully not my last, however I came here with a problem that I would most utterly love to solve. For Christmas I got a new phone, the HTC rezound which I choose over the iphone 4s. Now I finally got myself back to my apartment where my Windows desktop computer is and installed HTC sync. probably 10 minutes ago I connected it for the first time to my computer, I decided to go with window's Auto Run default to install the drivers, instead of the view files options. I got an option to install newer software, 'would you like to update your phone to newer software so you can connect it to your computer.' Now this sounded good it installed it then now on the window with no x in the corner (aka no option to close the window) which has the Verizion and HTC logo, it reads word for word
"Please turn on Internet Connection Mode from the devices setting and wait, it may take few seconds.
Setting -> Wireless & networks -> Internet Connection Mode"
with a [ Yes ] button that i am currently unable to click until i have done so.
When I go and do this options its giving me some [Cow manure] about having to pay for a tethering options for $20 a month (and yes there is a gramatical error on this window "it may take few seconds" is the word for word). This is where I am and I am too afraid to disconnect my phone in fear of messing up something. And HTC Sync program still reads "no device connected"
My Goal, is to put a couple of albums i have on the phone as well as play around with Syncing my university email account which uses a microsoft outlook server. Now I am going to help a friend move a new tv into his apartment and I will check back in say 30-40 minutes. Maybe this is a simple problem that has a solution right under my nose but I have no clue, so any input/suggestions/experience would be much appreciated.

Update, I think I solved it, however I did unplug it and had to close some processes and such. However there is still a grammatical error which deeply disappoints me.... just kidding

"sync" fails to open? Do you mean, iTunes?
If you manually open iTunes, does your iPhone show up in the left column?
If so...
Click on your iPhone in the left column of iTunes.
Click on the "Summary" tab in the right colum of iTunes.
Scroll down to "Options"
Select "Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected"

Sorry, there is nothing you can do.
FYI: Damage like that is not covered by warranty, & all Apple will offer you is an out of warranty replacement...cost, in the US, for an iPhone 4, is US $149. -

9630 Tour synced with wrong email.
While traveling out of the country, I put my travel companion's yahoo email account into my Tour so he could receive his emails. When I returned home (US) I synced/backed-upped my phone not thinking about his yahoo account. I have synced removed his email before I realized that my phone is now synced with his email address. When I go to my address book, all of my contacts say "Sync with (his email) I setup and deleted his account through the email setup program, but now even my access to my email setup will not take my password. Anyone ever have this happen?
Try to uninstall both email addresses and go through the setup of the email address that you would like to have sync with your Blackberry. Hope that helps!
To log in to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) website, there must be an existing account.
From the Homescreen, press the Menu button.
Select Setup.
Select Email Settings.
If presented, enter the appropriate User nameand Password(located within the Existing Userssection) then select Log In.
Create a BlackBerry email address
Delete a BlackBerry email address
Create a BlackBerry email address
Select Create.
Enter the desired user nameinto the User namefield then select Next.

I try and buy in app purchases but it won't let me and gives me the above error message: "iTunes password and account is not synced with the email address"! How can I fix this?
Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

I have the iPhone 4S, iOS7.0 of an ex-employee. That person would like a list of their contacts from the phone. I DO NOT want to sync with another email account, just a simple listing of the contacts.

Can't connect to Store or Sync with ipod. All music lost on iPod
Multiple severe problems. Is there any live support anywhere,even if there's a fee? Can't connect to iTunes store on Windows XP, tried to move music to new computer, changed to manual setting to do that, but now, there's no music on the new computer or the iPod and I can't get the music on the library of the old computer to sync with iPod and can't create a backup disc, as I get an unknown error. My 10-year old daughter is in tears. Thanks for any help. Would like to get the music back on the iPod and on the new computer. I authorized it.
There's phone support for iPods and they might be able to help you with iTunes or at least point you in the right direction.

BB Connection issue : Unable to sync with network ...
Hi,
A few months ago I upgraded my router and associated components and posted here to get the lines stuck IP profile refreshed. After that was performed everything was great up until the 30/4/13 when a power cut occurred around midday. Since this date my router has been trying to to sync with the exchange with no success and has reported the adsl link is down after every attempt.
I have tried the following troubleshooting steps: (Router is a Billion 7800n connected to the master socket)
* Power cycled the router
* Performed a factory reset on the router
* Tried connecting via the engineer's test socket
* Tried bypassing the fitted BT accelerator plate
* Tried a different adsl filter between router and master socket
* Checked adsl filters are still present/connected on any other connected comms equipment
* Checked for noise problems on the line (none found)
All above steps did not make any difference the router still attempts to sync and reports the adsl link as down.
The only step I have been unable to perform is testing with another router (the 8 year old home hub gave up the ghost a long time ago). I have borrowed a BT 2wire router from work and will hopefully be able to test if the problem is my router this evening.
After a busy weekend I finally got round to contacting the helpdesk yesterday evening who performed some tests and couldnt find a fault. They escalated the issue to 'level 2' and I was told I would get a call from them between 8.45-9.45 pm yesterday evening, surprise surprise no call was received so I have come here for help as this forum was so helpful before.

Go to Solution.I tried the 2wire router yesterday evening and it behaved exactly the same as my router. About an hour later BT finally rang me (better late than never i suppose) and after I explained the trouble shooting steps I had taken they confirmed that there is a fault with the line and an engineer visit was booked for today.
I received a call from an openreach engineer today who I suspect was at the exchange who asked me to confirm if the router was now sync'ing, after I advised him that it still was not he confirmed that the power outage had knackered some of the equipment in the exchange which was why I was unable to sync. He advised that an appointment had been made to swap out the faulty kit which would take place around midnight either tonight or tomorrow.
So now hopefully its just a case of waiting 24/48 hours for service to be restored. -
Help syncing with iTunes Outlook To Update iCloud

I have iPhone 4s and have just started to use iCloud. Can somone please tell me the best way I can use iTunes to sync to my Outlook Calendar & Contacts and then back this data to iCloud?
Forgive my lack of knowledge about this. I have always synced to iTunes for my Outlook Calendar & Contacts, but never sent this data to iCloud. Recently I lost all my Contacts & Calendar on the iPhone b/c I lost my PC hard drive (and to keep this story short) led to this new route of sending everything to iCloud.
I have searched for a few days but haven't found Tutorials on how to do this as yet.
So essentially what I am looking for is getting my Calendar and Contact data through iTunes to my iPhone and then send both the Calendar and my Contacts to iCloud.
If anyone can help me with this process I would be very appreciative hearing from you.

I very much appreciate your help.I've got similar problems with my old desk top running on Vista home premium, The problem started just recently (this year) and after iTunes had been updated. For two years I was syncing my Iphone 4S with Outlook 2007 with no problems. It just so happened that my wife's loptop was no longer reliable, so I bought her for Christmas a MacBook Air. After settng it up for her I realized the benefits and convenience having her Contacts, and Caleder on the icloud. She also has an iPhone 4S. I then decided to try and set up icloud with my desktop's oulook and my iphone. At first it seemed that it was working although I felt something was not the same as before. It did not take long to realize that something undesirable was going on with my desktop. I could not figure out what. Looking into it I saw that iCloud (at least the latest version) could only be used with Windows 7 and 8. Having Windows Vista I proceded to remove iCloud from my desttop. In the process, to make a long story short, I had to remove iTunes and reinstall it without the iCloud. I found out removing iTunes is not as easy as it sounds. If you ever need to look it up elsewhre in this website, it requires a specific order of removing the components. By the way removing iTunes does not remove the Libtrary of songs (in my case a couple thousand). With the fresh installation my songs came back which made me happy. Reseting the fresh version of iTunes to sync with my iPhone (not using the iCloud) has not worked so far. Today is the second day working on it hope to get it going again.
By the way at one point I lost my contacts and calendar from my phone, however when I set the iPhone switches for iCloud all the contacts and Calendar data came back to my phone. -
Need help syncing with Agent Office
I am trying to sync a Blackberry Curve 8530 using Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.0.1 with a real estate software program called Agent Office v.10
The problem I have, is that when I am trying to setup the sync options, and the desktop manager is requesting that I select a desktop application to sync with, Agent Office is not listed.
I have contacted the Agent Office people for help, and they seem to be just as miffed as I am.
Is there somewhere within the Desktop Manager that I can tell it programs to look for?
Does the desktop manager look for certain file types to associate with?

I'm trying to sync my iPhone 5 and it's telling me it's synced with another computer and I will lose all my apps when I know I've only synced with my laptop.
If you sync it, you'll have 2 options, erase and sync, or the option just to import your stuff. Even if erases, it'll sync back, but if you go with erase and sync, your music, unless already in your library on that computer, will be deleted, so you might need to back your music up to a CD or something similar. I just received my IPad and it will not sync with ITunes and my Mac doesn't recognize it any form. The screen is black with the exception of the annoying ITunes/USB cable graphic on the screen which appears momentarily and then disappears. Any ideas?
Things you can try first off,
is make sure you plug in your USB at the back of the mac, rather than for example keyboard.
Check out another usb cable.
Hold down sleep/wake and home button at the same time to reset iPad.
Make sure you have the latest iTunes installed or you may have to reinstall iTunes.
None of these work then I suggest you to take it to an Apple retail store for the genius guy to check it out.
